This rig is used for everything from everyday use to streaming, to PLEX server, to hardcore flight simming. It's my do everything rig and Im proud that everything works with no issues no matter what I through at it. I had multiple machines that I used for various tasks around the house and gaming, but decided to consolidate into single machine which is now what you see here; Vader. Vader is an Intel 10900K 5.4ghz behemoth boasting 64gb of G.Skill Ripjaws overclocked to 4000mhz cl15, an ASUS Strix OC 2080ti with a 1060 daughter card for more displays, 50tb of HDD disk space, 4tb of Samsung Evo powered NVME goodness, and more monitors than most people can handle - 7 (65in Oled, 2 LG 34in, 1 Acer 38in, and 4 ASUS 22in touchscreens). Audio for this machine is power by a Matrix Audio X-Sabre Pro MQA DAC that feeds a Monoprice 887 amp leading to the reference level Sennheiser HD800S with seat attached bass shakers and a Jet Seat for rumble immersion. Input devices are led by an iKBC MF87 keyboard, Corsair m65 mouse, 3 Elgato Stream Decks - Mini, Default, and XL, a Real Simulator joystick, Thrustmaster TPR pedals, Winwing Throttle, 2 DSD button boxes, and a TrackIR This whole machine is a never ending upgrading monster. I always tell my wife that Ill be done after the next upgrade, but low and behold there is always one more over the next horizon.$14,280.92 -

This all started from my corsair 500d case not fitting two 360mm rads, an AIO for the CPU and the rad for my RTX 3090 K|NGP|N hybrid card. I determined I needed a bigger case to fit them both thus came the 1000d. Plenty big enough right? Sure. Actually it was too big because hoses on the AIOs were too SHORT! Then I decided to research and understand what this 1000d case really was. Of course this thing is targeting custom water cooling. A year later we have the bohemoth.$13,029.51 -

I decided to just go all out and get mostly ASUS ROG products. Little overkill from what I'm told but I'm really happy with it all. The fact that I switched over from Xbox specifically for VR is hilarious. I will never buy another console. I sadly paid a scalper for my Strix 3090 because I did not want to wait for the unseeable future. Very happy to have the help of Greg and David to help build this monster! Definitely going to update all the wires. Sorry to your eyes >.<$12,554.20 -

This is my 3rd build since I started PC Gaming, I've built everyone! Shout-out to Microcenter for always having what I need! I play everything from CoD, to League of Legends, to Minecraft. this beautiful machine handles it all! I was hoping to upgrade my GPUs that I took from my last build, but things are a bit crazy in that regards right now! Though my current setup still gets the job done extremely nicely! So far I've overclocked the CPU to 5.0GHz, the highest I was able to get it was 5.4, but I feel safer at 5.0 with a lower voltage, for daily use. I love that my PC is able to handle anything I throw at it and the temperatures are beautiful too. CPU and GPUs are liquid cooled and it sure makes a difference! **For some reason whenever I upload a photo it keeps flipping them T_T$10,737.90 -

Started this build in August to be prepared for the RTX30 launch, just waiting to get my hands on one. I mostly use it for VR racing and flight sims but play a wide range of games. This was my 3rd custom build to start from scratch and I'm ecstatic how this one turned out and how well it runs even with a 2 generation old GPU. I enjoy watching the time lapse builds on you tube, those guys and gals can build some awesome rigs. I have a desk in the corner of my room, so a couple years ago I got this image or idea in my head about building a cool water cooled system spread out on the two walls above my desk. Friends think I'm crazy, but the idea stuck in my head and "some day I'm gonna do it!". Well that day was 7 months long of engineering the design, ordering parts, researching parts (dig deep into M.2 storage systems or multiple card arrays, you can spend weeks and still be lost), fabricating parts and most importantly working to BUY the $6000+ in parts. And the actual, build itself was spread out over 4 weeks. Its my first water cooled build, so the tubing was extremely slow going and chopped full of mistakes, lol literally I have 15 feet worth of 16mm hard tubing mistakes. And the cost of water fittings quickly overwhelmed me. I've got at least $400 just in fittings. I love the people at Microcenter reservations, I just pick my parts online and reserve them, and they go gather them off the shelves, what a time saver for me, I love them guys and gals. I mostly just play World of Tanks, and World of Warplanes with the rig, the Core I9 10900K 10th gen CPU and the ROG Strix 2070 on a ASUS ROG Maximus XII Formula board are way overkill for my needs, but over is better than under. I operate with the CPU punched up to 5 GHZ, 3.7 being stock, but I have clocked it up to 5.2 for benchtests but haven't took it to the magical 5.3 yet, lol. I do have an ASUS Hyper M.2 X 16 card for linking 4 M.2s, but as of now I have 3 Samsung 970 EVO plus card mounted in board set up in a RAID 0 configuration so the hyper drive would be an insignificant gain , it would have to read my mind to get much faster than it is now, lol. And a big thank you to Microcenter a good 3/4 of this build came off their shelves, mostly the Brentwood Mo store but some was the online store. The employees at Microcenter are truly the best, I have never gotten less than 100% of genuine want to satisfy. I bought this build one pay check at a time, and I am a flooring installer making $15/hr, so that was a lot of floors, and a lot of trips to Microcenter, lol.$3,780.09 -

The build was originally for me to stream and play games like, Escape from Tarkov, Valorant, Far Cry, and etc. I kinda over done it because the original idea was to hold off all the parts until the rtx 3090 and the water block to come out. Then it came from a d15 chromax air cooling to now a custom loop build. The gpu doesnt have a water block on it because its used as a temporary card until the 3090. The loop might change depending on how big those 3000 series cards are going to be. There might be or a good chance that im going to swap the 240mm leviathan for 2 360mm leviathans depending on the 3090 temps. The water block is most likely going to get picked up from bykski with a temp reader replacing the original in and out piece. I am going to order another nf-f12 ippc 3k rpm for the 360 leviathan and 3 more for the second one. so far thats the plan im thinking about might add bits of accessories like flow readers or a bitspower hexagon.$3,304.47 -

PC 2 I made for my spouse to work on and also play pc games with me. Most of the games I play are found on Steam, Blizzard, Epic Games, LoL, Valorant, etc. I'm a OIF/OEF Vet myself, my teenage kids wanted to get into PC gaming (they're "upgrading" from consoles/Fortnite) and I come from an automotive repair background so putting together a PC is trivial in comparison to an engine or fine tuning suspension for an auto cross track. Anywho, future upgrades to include the new 6800 XT or some 3080's were available but I'll deal with having 5700 XT's for now as a place holder. Almost returned both these NZXT cases (still within 30day window) and buy 2 new Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini cases + 12*LL120 case fans but too lazy to take apart both PC components JUST to have the NEW case.$3,267.86 -

When flying back to Massachusetts, I didn't have a PC to game on, and I just felt with the new generation of parts, it was time to build a new one. I'm bummed it isn't Alderlake but when I started gathering up parts Alderlake wasn't even announced yet. The 4000d is a good case to work with but if you do beware the top of the case has RAM clearance issues so you will likely need a 240mm radiator or if you have a 280mm the RAM needs to be low profile. The first attempt at building the PC revealed the motherboard was nonfunctional but I was able to get an RMA within a few weeks. Everything else went smoothly and this is my first serious gaming PC build!$3,073.91 -

It should be good at doing all kinds of work without being too specific in a job. Tasks that will handle the most are graphical applications, coding, VM, 3D modeling and very little rendering (4 to 5 applications open and working together all the time is a must). I also use all the major OS’s and it needs to be versatily in that front. Currently not playing games but could always do in the future. ———— Applications that I use on a daily basis are: - Video editing (DaVinci, HitFilm) - Affinity (Photo, Designer) - Nuke/Fusion/Natron (motion graphics, compositing and VFX ) - Substance Allegorithmic softwares (3D materials) - Occasionally 3D modeling. - Occasionally software development with virtual machines for code testing on multiple platforms. ———— - Video editing wise I am able to handle 1080p like nothing. Currently don't need to do 4k videos (I might in the future) but I am pretty sure it should’t be a problem at all. When exporting things are a bit different and it depends on the timeline, how many layers, effects and so on. More cores would be better, but so far it has been a breeze. I was able to move from 5 layers at 720p to a 5 layer at 1080p and don’t even feel the weight. —— - Graphic design wise I have plenty of headroom for my current workflow. Layered based applications tend to prefer single core speed and the 10900k is spot on. Some project have couple of hunders of layers or are .exr 32 bit multi render passes and it doesn’t even blink. I am sure the GPU will bottleneck at some point but so far no problem. —— - 3D wise It would say its definitely not the best as the GPU is not quite there in terms of performance. It does not really suffer much in Real Time Rendering applications but on some heavy GPU compute tasks it just takes quite a bit and can be easly outperfomed by the CPU. NVIDIA cards would have an upper hand in the majority of cases. Modeling on the other hand, since is mostly done in the viewport without shading, because is handled mostly by the CPU, no problem there. —— In retrospec things I would have done differently/better are: - Check the measurements! (Case - GPU length) and (CPU cooler - Motherboard) are probably the more important. They made me change things a couple of times and lost days. - 64 RAM is a bit much. I am constantly around 15/20GB mark and I thought the more the better but so far I haven’t come even close to the 32GB. I would have probably waited a bit more before buying another stick and use that money for other components. The day that you reach 32GB constantly and its slowing down your work, then go for it. - Graphics card: I would have preferred a NVIDIA card for drivers compatibility. - 970 Evo Pro/Plus m.2 ssd's are insanely fast, so much so that I think that going 1k W/R below what I have right now (3k W/R) would not make much difference but it would save you some money for other stuff. —— Upgrade for the future - Finish the fan setup. - Waiting for the next gen graphics cards. Hoping for RDNA 2 to ramp up the competition and have more support integration. - Having an extra ssd for archive is never a bad choice. - Motherboard has only 1 usb 3 gen.1, but case has 2 so might need a PCIE usb header. - Also motherboard has 2 usb 2 and would like to expand that.$2,887.74 -

I play a variety of games, but my favorites are RPGs, Sci-Fi, and FPS. My main rotation right now is Destiny 2, Doom Eternal, The Witcher 3, and Red Dead Redemption 2. I decided that I wanted to upgrade everything about my pc for the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game. I have been patiently waiting for years for this game, and with the release of the 30 series RTX graphics cards it seemed as though the stars had aligned. I started planning this build in February when rumors of the 30 series cards began to circulate. Little did I know that the world would soon descend into chaos, with massive lockdowns and shortages on electronics. On top of that, I work in the radio-pharmaceuticals industry, and was deemed an essential employee. I found myself working 12-16 hour shifts due to staff shortages, and each night I would come home and check the online stores to see if any of my pc parts were available. Slowly but surely, parts began to trickle in, and I began assembly in August. I was methodical in my building process, routing each cable to its destination, bundling and unbundling cables as I added more components. I wanted the pc to be an extension of myself, to stand out and show the hard work and love that I'd put into its creation. As it neared completion, it dawned on me that I had, in a way, embraced the cyberpunk lifestyle. Man and machine, working into the early morning hours, tinkering and improving, making sure everything is perfect. And so, the build is now complete. The only component that was reused was my EVGA 2070 Super, but I'm still hopeful that I can get my hands on a 3080 before the release of Cyberpunk 2077.$2,791.84 -

She was created mainly for gaming and streaming. I am a novice switching over from console gaming so I am still navigating through the games available. So far I've enjoyed completing Jedi: Fallen Order (Look Ma, I'm a Jedi now!) and occasionally I'll play Apex Legends. As of right now, I am planning on trying out Horizon Zero Dawn, Baldur's Gate 3, and maybe even Outriders. I would really love to continue to push the limits of this PC's capabilities, especially since I was lucky enough to get a 3080 from MC. Honestly in hindsight I wish I would have started this build earlier due to the pc component shortage. That way I could have avoided the battle royal that is pc part procurement. My main focus was to complete a white build which only added to the difficulty. I would say if you're completing your own build right now, be patient and keep in mind certain parts require different rgb software that won't sync up once booted up. One thing worth mentioning is it doesn't hurt to be "thrifty" on certain parts. I waited for some of my parts to go on sale before purchasing and even bought my CPU as an open box.$2,720.36 -

My PC was built mainly for gaming, but I also use it for VR, video editing, and graphic design later as well once I start college in the spring. For VR, I currently use the Quest 2 with a link cable, but will transition over to a Valve Index once everything comes in. For games, I'm currently playing League of Legends, Valorant, Genshin Impact, Escape from Tarkov, Ready or Not, Dead by Daylight, Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield 2042, and more. The build started with the 3080Ti FE that I managed to buy for MSRP off of Best Buy. After I realized my PSU (750w) and CPU (i5-8400) wouldn't be able to keep up with the new GPU, I upgraded component by component until the only parts that I took from my previous PC were the storage and ram. Personally, I don't like the look of RGB, and find it tacky and distracting, so I opted to go for black and other muted colors that would keep the build sleek and clean. Thank you for reading and feel free to leave comments and criticisms! I'd still call myself an amateur in the world of PC building.$2,517.89 -

It’s my work station for work and my relaxing gaming area. I play on Vr ((I have the valve index)really wanna to upgrade my gpu soon to something to match this beast of a rig), War Thunder, Star Citizen, COD, and more. I also video edit for time to time and also 3D model when I can for 3D printing and Vr Chat. I also do slight graphic design. My dream setup has only begun and I plan to do a lot more to it! What do I plan on adding or upgrading? Well for starters I plan on upgrading my gpu as I said above. I play a lot of games that are still in alpha or in beta stage of development because I like to so these games grow and progress into something amazing and cool. For the rest of hard ware it mostly complete the rest is either more memory or just small touch ups on lighting or wiring. I have a unfinished basement and plan on build a room for just gaming. In one corner I plan on putting a nice big green screen for VR and plan on putting my flight and racing simulator done there as well. I have extra parts for gaming rig and plan on putting on together so friends and family can play on good graphics if they wanna play pc games with me. I plan on getting a nice flight sim chair for Star Citizen, DCS, and War Thunder. I plan on getting the Thrustmaster Warthog with an extra stick for Star Citizen. What’s in my setup now? For the tower: ROG Helios case ROG Maximus XII Hero MB 128gb 4000 of ddr4 gskill ram i9 Core processor 10th gen 6tb of memory (plan on adding another 2tb and that’s it) ROG Thor 1200w psu ROG LC 360 Radiator 3x Corsair QL fans Corsair Commander Pro ROG Strix RTX 2070 ( want to upgrade to a ROG Strix 3080ti or the 3090 ) Phantech RGB strips My Peripherals: ROG ASUS Spatha mouse Razor Black Widow Elite Razor Tartarus v2 GOXLR Shure SM7B Steelseries Arctis Pro ROG Strix 49” 144hz monitor (plan on getting another 49”) LG 27” 144hz monitor RODE boom arm Valve Index (with 4 Base stations and full body tracking) 5$ leather office chair If you have tips for my dream set up or like my set up please let let me know! :D$2,419.93
