Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4: What PC Specs Do You Need to Run the Game?
Two of the greatest THPS games got a massive face lift, but is your computer ready to shred?News
Ready to shred like it's 2001 again? Well grab some Bawls, grab some snacks, grab some friends, and get ready to grab some air because Tony Hawk is back. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 (or just THPS 3 + 4) launched on July 8th for the fans who pre ordered the digital deluxe or collectors edition, with those who didn’t getting access to the game on July 11. It’s also going to be on Xbox Game Pass on launch day, so if you’re already a subscriber, you’re ready to go.

As a collector’s edition sicko (I needed the second skate deck to match my THPS 1 + 2 deck, okay?), I’ve just about finished my first run through of 3 and I’m pleased to report it’s just as fun to grind my way through Foundry as it was when I was in elementary school. But if you haven’t had a chance to drop in yet, you might be wondering:
Can My Computer Run Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4?
Yes. Your computer can probably run THPS 3 + 4.
Minimum Specs
- Processor: AMD FX 6300 / Intel Core i3-4340
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD HD 7950 / NVIDIA GTX 660
And that’s really all you need for the minimum specs. 8GB of RAM has been standard in most PCs for years now and the CPU and GPU specs are lower than an entry-level gaming laptop I got in senior year of high school 14 years ago. The hardest spec to hit is probably the Windows 10 requirement. So if you have a computer from the past decade, you’re probably cleared for at least minimum specs, but probably Recommended as well, as they’re not much steeper.
Recommended Specs
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X / Intel Core i5-2500K
- Memory: 12 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 390 / NVIDIA GTX 970
Recommended specs definitely beef things up a bit, but not by much, as Windows 10 may still be the most intensive requirement for THPS 3 + 4. An entry-level gaming laptop from 2019 should be more than capable of handling Pro Skater without breaking a sweat. If you are using older hardware, my one recommendation is to check your RAM; 12GB may be a bit high for that 2019 laptop.
Best computers to run THPS 3 + 4
Normally we’d recommend a few computers that meet the criteria for minimum and recommended specs. However, even our most basic gaming laptop and desktop recommendations are generations beyond the minimum specs and recommended, so think of these as good/better/best suggestions.
