Star Wars Outlaws: What PC Specs Do You Need to Run the Game?
How to get the best performance from the new open-world game set during the classic movie trilogy.News
To get the most out of Star Wars Outlaws, the open-world adventure set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, you should really play it on a PC. The Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions are fine, but PC players will have access to more graphics fine-tuning options, be able to use more powerful hardware, and take advantage of the modding scene that's already starting to pop up.
I've only played the first few hours of the game, and despite some of the questionable early impressions floating around online, I generally liked it. It takes a while to get to the actual open-world part, and there's too much required stealth in the first hours, but the characters and world-building are amazing, and Nix, your faithful alien pet/friend/personal assistant is great for opening up emergent gaming opportunities and playing differently than you would in a typical GTA-style action game.
Here’s what you need to know about the PC specs for Star Wars Outlaws -- from the minimum requirements to the recommended specs for a high-end experience. Especially as PC games tend to get a lot of performance optimizations after launch, the lower-end specs may offer improved performance after a few patches.

I fired up the game on one of the best systems I've got, a Razer Blade 15 with an Intel Core i9 and NVIDIA 4090 mobile GPU. I played at the laptop's native resolution of 2,560x1,600 and with detail settings on Ultra. I got frame rates in the 60s and 70s most of the time, and the game looked great. Dropping the overall graphics settings to Medium, and frame rate jumped to the low 90s.
One simple tip for getting started in Star Wars Outlaws for under $20
For PC players, the game is available via the Epic Game Store or from publisher Ubisoft through its Ubisoft Connect software. No Steam version yet, but that may come in the future. While the three retail editions cost from $69-$129, you can actually subscribe to Ubisoft's $18/month Ubisoft+ Premium service (similar to Xbox Game Pass) and get access to the game for both console and PC. If you're on the fence, I'd suggest that to test-drive the game first for at least a month or two.
