G.Skill's High-Capacity 256GB DDR5 Memory Kit Packs in Four 64GB Modules
More RAM, and faster, for AI and other intense workloads.News

For PC builders and upgraders, the amount of memory you can cram into a system has always been a balance between capacity and speed. G.Skill just adjusted our expectations with what the company says is the world's first 256GB (64GBx4) DDR5 memory kit, overclocked to DDR5-6000 CL32.
This is a big deal because by using four larger 64GB modules it presents an alternative to the more common approach of using eight 32B ones to reach high capacities, which could be beneficial to people doing heavy lifting like 4K video editing or AI development.
Built for Demanding Workloads
The kit is built with high-performance Sk hynix DDR5 ICs, allowing for overclocked speeds and timings that can handle the most demanding workloads. G.Skill says this memory kit is ideal for content creation, AI applications, and advanced workstations that require massive amounts of high-speed memory.
"In content creation and recent advancements in AI, the need for higher DRAM capacity is essential," the company said in a press release. "Whether calculating large language models or working with complex or high-resolution video content, high-speed memory of high-density 64GB modules would help to provide a smoother and more efficient workflow."
AMD Support and overclocking
The 256GB kit supports AMD EXPO memory overclock profiles and has been stress-tested on various high-end motherboards with AMD Ryzen desktop processors, including the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and AMD Ryzen 9 9900X.
But G.Skill didn't stop at just 6000 MT/s. The company has also demonstrated the kit's potential for extreme overclocking, reaching speeds of up to DDR5-7000 CL38-50-50, as seen in the image below, although that's an test case.

There's no specifics yet on when the new 256GB DDR5 kits would be available for purchase or how much they would cost, but this could be exciting news for professionals who need the absolute most memory available.
