Avowed: What PC Specs Do You Need to Run the Game?
Find out whether your computer can handle the minimum and recommended specs for this brand-new RPG from Obsidian.News
Just a few short weeks after the last mega RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, it’s already time to jump back into a massive world full of combat and decisions. Avowed, the latest game from the studio that made Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds, officially launches today (though some folks have been exploring Living Lands for the past week). It’s out now on Steam, Battle.net, and Xbox Game Pass for PC, so check your subscription before picking this one up on another platform.

Set in the same world as the Pillars of Eternity games (though you don’t need to have played them to jump into Avowed), be prepared to spend plenty of time exploring, fighting, and questing. Of course, even if you’re ready to get to saving the world, one question remains:
Can My Computer Run Avowed?
Minimum Specs:
- OS: Windows 10/11 with updates
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 / Intel i5-8400
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD RX 5700 / Nvidia GTX 1070 / Intel Arc A580
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 75 GB available space
The minimum specs for Avowed are shockingly low for a release this big, with the NVIDIA GPU recommendation being nearly nine years old. Thankfully, that means Avowed should run on just about any system built or purchased in the past decade or so, but more recent PCs will absolutely handle it better.
Recommended Specs:
- OS: Windows 10/11 with updates
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Intel i7-10700K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Graphics: AMD RX 6800 XT / Nvidia RTX 3080
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 75 GB available space
Avowed’s recommended specs are more in line with modern releases, requiring CPUs and GPUs from the last few generations of releases. They’re still not particularly steep and, with the low minimum specs, it will likely still be easy to tweak your settings into a good looking game, even on slightly older hardware.
