The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered: What PC Specs Do You Need to Run the Game?
2006 is back, but can your computer handle this remastered adventure through Cyrodiil?News
Before The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (and its various remasters), there was The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Oblivion was far from the first Elder Scrolls game -- it was the fourth, or sixth, depending on how you count -- but it was the game that catapulted the series into the mainstream, launching not just on PC but on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 as well.

Oblivion Remastered includes all the DLC (with the Digital Deluxe edition even including the infamous Horse Armor, one of the very first micro-transactions), so once you finish your adventures with Dagoth Ur, you can head over to the Shivering Isles or work with the Knights of the Nine. Of course, the biggest changes are all visual, with a complete graphical overhaul to bring Oblivion more in line with recent releases. Which means there’s a big question that needs answering:
Can My Computer Run The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered?
Minimum Specs
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, Intel Core i7-6800K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700, NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 125 GB available space
Despite being a modern remaster, Oblivion can run on some seriously old hardware. Both the processor and GPU requirements are generations old at this point, making it an easy game to run for anyone who built a computer within the past few years.
Recommended Specs
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, Intel Core i5-10600K
- Memory: 32 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 6800XT or NVIDIA RTX 2080
- DirectX: Version 12
The recommended specs are a bit more intense than the minimum, but not by much. You’ll need some slightly more modern hardware, but even a more budget-conscious build from the past few years will be able to handle Oblivion with ease.
