I’ve been building SFF for almost 8 years now. My favorite case has always been the NCASE M1 which easily worked for most... I’ve been building SFF for almost 8 years now. My favorite case has always been the NCASE M1 which easily worked for most gaming builds until the last few years of hardware. Once I snagged a 3090 FE it was time for a new case. After a bit of research, I decided to buy a Sliger S620 which is basically a bigger NCASE M1 with a handle option. The build quality is great but I prefer the anodized aluminum of the NCASE. Part choice was easy, not a ton of options for SFF builds. I decided on the U12A over the D15 as the U12A lags only a few degrees while having a much nicer sound profile. The PC is extremely quiet during gameplay outside of the GPU coil whine. The 3090 FE has easily the worst coil whine I’ve ever heard out of the box. Coil whine is one of the reasons I got out of water cooling as the noise floor is always tainted by the awful whine every card seems to have now. A slight undervolt helps but it’s still there. Airflow is setup for bottom and back intake and exhausting everywhere else. I tried the case flipped once but the GPU temps weren’t great for me. Doom Eternal with everything maxed at 4k 120hz sits around 71-72c for both the CPU and GPU. Overall, pretty happy with the case and build.$0.00 -

Basically, I made almost my entire system except for CPU, GPU's and their GPU blocks, 13 cheapo fans, 2 molex connectors and... Basically, I made almost my entire system except for CPU, GPU's and their GPU blocks, 13 cheapo fans, 2 molex connectors and a few fittings out of second hand / repaired items. The sound system was also repaired, and cost me a fraction of MSRP and I used my car audio hobby to my advantage. Focal Shape 65 were $320 total after repairs and the subwoofer was $40 and cost almost nothing for me to repair. Frequency response is 24Hz-35,000 Hz This build is all about one thing: Price to performance ratio. My 3090 actually costs more than the rest of parts in the pc and my entire living room combined. Took a long time to save up for the new GPU but because of the pandemic, I decided to max out this platform by getting that last part I needed, and now in order to upgrade, I need a whole new platform :D$0.00 -

It was a i7-th gen MSI dual fan 1060ti, which was later upgraded to 2070 super. It was a prebuilt custom pc from cyberpower and over The years i've had so many issues with the p c sometimes. The case was terrible it caused a lot of overheating and my p c would crash often when I ran even medium load work like turning on rocket league. I figured it was time to build a new p c and this time I wanted to make sure I future proof it without worrying about cost. Because the last p c I bought I built a little conservative because I was still in college and so I didn't want to spend too much money. It was actually a long Time dream of mine to build a new PC. But this time get a case that actually looks cool and I've looked at a lot of open concept cases as well as a panoramic glass cases. I want exposure to the internal components. And also wanted some internal rgb in my build, not too much rgb. I play a lot of AAA games, also FPS shooters, etc. Some of the games i play are valorant, rocket league, cod, halo, overwatch 2, battlefield, csgo, etc. Also a lot of single player games like tomb raider, horizon, last of us, etc. Every game I played told now I have played using logo settings just so my p c would not crash. I wanted a build where i would have to worry about that and be able to play on hight/max settings so i can appreciate the details and art of the games. I've thought about getting into streaming and no right now. I'm thinking about getting into dollarant streaming and/ content creation. I am a huge fan of Keeoh and his videos. Even if I don't get a lot of viewers? I still wouldn't like to be able to stream just doing for the fun. I got all of the streamer components no, just built a very high end p c capable of high quality gameplay End multitask for streaming, Also got some nice streaming cameras a hyperex quadcast s mic. Not sure when I'm actually going to start streaming but hopefully. It's sometimes in your future once I settle in to my new apartment. At the moment instead of streaming I have a youtube channel where I post clips of really funny or good gameplay for f p s games. I'm going to continue doing that till I am able to stream$0.00 -

I don't plan on changing anything for a while after this. I chose this case because I liked the unique layout and I knew the watercooling obsession would eventually lead to hardline tubing. So I wanted a cheap case that would force me to be creative with the design and whip out the Dremel for a custom fit. It did not disappoint. I also purchased some cut glass from the hardware store, painted the edge, and mount it using magenetic strips to use as my side panel. The decision to finally go hardline was a used Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Master for $180 and EK's FLT reservoir/pump combo. Everything was bought used or very discounted, except for CPU, fans, and anything regarding watercooling. It was a fun challenge that I am glad is over and thankfully, stayed dry. 3D modeling prior was critical and thanks to every gamer/enthusiast for inspiration! Hope you guys like it and feel free to ask any questions! Primarily used for gaming, general purpose, engineering, and 3D modeling. Started using Plex for streaming personal media a year ago and filled up the 8TB external HDD pretty quick! Figured this was... Started using Plex for streaming personal media a year ago and filled up the 8TB external HDD pretty quick! Figured this was the perfect opportunity to get into the world of servers. I wanted something that was SFF, dead silent, had plenty of HDD bays, and still looked good to set on my desk. Didn't like the look of the Node 304 or NR200 but when the SSUPD Meshlicious came out, I knew I could make it unique and exactly what I wanted. Decided to upgrade my gaming rig (2020 Build) during this process and use those parts for the server or buy used. Server GPU was omitted since I have my own gaming rig which can handle heavy duties if necessary. Check out both rigs in the last photo! Using unRAID has been a great choice of server OS and an amazing learning tool to get into servers! Since it's used primarily for Plex by my family, drives are spun down most of the time. Plex libraries are split up into different drives allowing for a single HDD spin up at a time depending on the movie/show. The system remains dead silent, even when 1 or 2 drives are in use. Thermals are a non-issue. Even during 24-hour data transfer to all drives at once, HDDs never hit above 38 degrees. Plex use is 30 degrees. Incredibly happy with the way it came out and couldn't recommend the SSUPD Meshlicious enough as an insanely versatile and beautiful SFF case.$0.00 -

I was 16 at the time, and he helped me pick out all the parts and pore over the details, going through review after review to get what fit our needs best. That's what dad was always good at. Mom would make fun of him all the time. Every time we needed something, like new cleats for my younger sister playing soccer or a drawing tablet for my younger brother to get his ideas out on something other than loose-leaf paper, we knew that we'd be waiting at least a week or two or three before my dad finally came back to us with the "definitive best choice" for each of us. This rig isn't the most powerful, or the most beautiful, or the most expensive. But it is what worked for us at the time. When we built it the first time, I was so excited that the fan had color! It lit up the corner of our house's computer room a bright red, shining that hue across our decade-old family PC hunched over next to it. This new PC was so futuristic and new and... big! And that's how we decided to name it. Big Red. Now I'm 22, working a job two states away, in my own apartment, typing this up on the same untouched machine that I put together with my dad all those years ago. It's seen countless games, countless hours of watching videos, doing homework, dialing in to work calls, connecting online with friends hundreds of miles away. And I'm glad I still have Big Red to keep me company.$0.00 -

Trying not to alter the case too much, I searched around to find components that would work. In the end I ended up trimming the back panel to work with the mobo ports, cutting a hole to pass the power cables through the top shelf to the rest of the PC, installed my own stand-offs and mounting plate. Most people would've upgraded by year 3, but I never really found a reason to do a full rebuild. It's now 2024 and it is showing its age especially after purchasing an ultrawide monitor. Retirement might be on the horizon, but I truly think this still has some life. It probably won't be gaming or intense work, but it'll be an awesome web browsing/video streaming PC.$0.00 -

To accommodate newer Ryzen 5000 series CPUs I selected a small Micro-ATX motherboard ($38 shipped off eBay) ASRock B450 B450M R4.0 and fit it in a tiny case. Currently it is powered by AMD Ryzen 3 2200g CPU. I paired it with 16GB DDR4-3200 memory, Intel 240GB SSD drive and 2TB WD hard drive. The plan is to add a M2 ssd drive and a MicroCenter's Ryzen 5600g or 5700g CPU. Maybe later add even a discrete graphics card. At the moment the build will be used for general purpose computing with some occasional gaming (per my son's request).$0.00 -

After I knew what GPU I was going with, I decided to go AMD and got a 3600 CPU. I also decided to make my PC light up using as much RGB as I can. Currently has AIO with 3 RGB fans, as well as an additional 3 RGB fans. I also got a 24pin RGB Extension and 8 pin RGB extension that have not been added to the build yet.$0.00 -

Wanted to make a case out of wood settled on mAtx form factor and a close to cubic design in order to pull it out of one... Wanted to make a case out of wood settled on mAtx form factor and a close to cubic design in order to pull it out of one sheet of 2’x4’ ply all while grain matching🤓. The design is more akin to a test bench setup in how the board is oriented. There is drawer to house one HDD and two SSDs though I only have one currently. The cables nicely dive down into the underside of the cabinet. The entire system is air cooled with 6 case fans 2 in on left 2 out on right and in on top and front to have positive pressure… the top hole is almost perfectly aligned with cpu… (missed measurement… womp womp. As can be seen it comes with led power and reset buttons the reset led is wired to hdd activity for a neat effect. And finally a full usb2.0/3.0/sdcard reader/audio in out 5.25” bay adapter that I’ve secured in place. While I was very excited to have constructed it to be double hinged I kind of regret it in how it makes the setup awkward… once done however it’s nice and I doubt I’ll have to get in there again. I have some thoughts as to where I’d like to go with the next itiration… let me know what you think!$0.00 -

I still love playing fps in stereoscopic 3D, on this computer, that i believe I built 10+ years ago. It has an i7 960 Intel CPU, 8GB Ram, and dual 16x SINGLE slot pci-ex slots (not 8x / 8x). I boot to 32 bit Win XP with the GS7600 nVidia videocard on a 21" Viewsonic 120hz CRT monitor and H3D wired shutter glasses. I also dual boot into 64bit Win7 Pro with the GTX690 nVidia videocard on 3 Acer X1261P 3D projectors for a total screen size thats 15 feet long (resolution is 3072 x 768). I replace the proprietary 500watt power supply with a Thermaltake one and the "Ice cooler", which is also Shuttles proprietary cpu cooler with a Zalman. I play (in glorious 3D) the original Dead Space 1,2, & 3, Tomb Raiders, Max Payne, Painkiller type games.$0.00 -

Most obvious hindsight fix would've been to not attempt to make a DIY purple dye, that backfired horribly and resulted in the name of the system because it stained the reservoir brown. It looks like the system has coffee pumping through the watercooling loop! Despite initial teething troubles with XMP the system is now rock stable and been problem free for most of the last decade. Planning to upgrade it to Zen 4, a proper NVMe SSD, and just maybe a 3080 Ti... Oh, and most importantly a new case that has room to allow for proper cable management!$0.14 -

All the while, supporting gaming in what little down time there was. Biggest love of this system was the accessible top rack IO and large, quiet fans. My younger son wanted a gaming PC. I did not have any budget for it, so decided to make him something as cheap as possible.... My younger son wanted a gaming PC. Let me tell you, it would not have been possible if my older son had not donated his old PC parts including his old 1050ti, power supply, and SSD. We also used his old case lying around that you can see from the dust. We searched the Facebook marketplace and local thrift stores for the rest of the build. It cost us 40 bucks for the whole build. I am not a pro. My son and I watched Linus Tech Tips to build the PC. It was hard even to put cable in right place, let alone management, lol. Here is the build. Build specs: Pentium G4560 Gigabyte H110m Motherboard (Motherboard and processor together cost us 30 bucks) 8 GB DDR4 ram (5 bucks from a thrift store) 1 TB Toshiba HDD (5 bucks from Facebook marketplace) MSI 1050ti (Elder son's old GPU) Cooler Master Case (Also from elder son) My son plays DOTA on it, and it runs fine!$40.00 -

I found this computer beside our community's dumpster. I brought it home and realized it's an abandoned office pc as it came... I found this computer beside our community's dumpster. I brought it home and realized it's an abandoned office pc as it came without hard drive. I slapped a 256GB microcenter SSD, and still did not boot. Swapped the ram and started working! However, it sometimes went through boot loops and I needed to change the time everytime I turned it on. I put a new CMOS battery and put Ubuntu on it, and voila a perfectly good PC. It has N3050 celeron processor and 8 GB ram. I use it to play retro games with retro-arch, and some media consumption with Ubuntu. I kept it connected to my living room TV for media and gaming. I also use sysDVR client on it to stream games from my nintendo switch lite. Overall, it is an excellent value for how much work I am able to do with it. After scouring my basement and searching through all of the garbage PCs that were left over from my father's office, I have assembled a gaming rig unlike any other. With a GPU riser, a little perseverance, and a lot of begging my friends for extra parts that they had lying around, this baby is capable of running Fall Guys with minimal lag and stuttering at 720p, even at medium settings! I am currently waiting for an upgraded cpu from a friend, and once I have it I will reluctantly build everything into a bigger case. The most important upgrades to come are RGB fans, keyboard, and mouse, anime girl mousepad, and the Redragron speakers that I will get from my Micro Center coupon. For now, its the best gaming PC I've ever owned, and assembling it has been my life's crowning achievement.$44.99 -
