This is my dream build because my favorite color is white and I love ROG from the 3090 to motherboard. I am a video editor and gamer. I will sometimes stream time to time, but mostly I just like playing with friends for fun. Twitch: harveeychoi (if you wanna follow) I am currently an editor for my agency, RGA. I play Warzone, CSGO, Overwatch, and many others. I am a PC enthusiast just like everyone else here and I am eager to keep on learning.$6,301.03 -

I was on console for the longest time and I was finally convinced to get a PC by my friends (they were all on PC and I was the only one on PS4). So August of 2020 I bought my first PC a Cyberpower Pre-Built. It was super basic a Ryzen 3600 and 2060 Super but it got the job done for me and I was hooked. Fast forward to 2021 I moved back to Texas and sold my house in Nevada and made a good chunk of my money so.....I decided to build my dream PC! I started with the basics (case, AIO, Ram) but then I thought "I can afford it....why not build the most expensive, over the top, build I can......" So the hunt began.....I spent weeks refreshing best buy, newegg, microcenter, etc trying to find an RTX 3090 and a Ryzen 5900x or 5950x. Slowly but surely I was finding the parts I wanted. I needed fans so I looked for the most expensive fans I could find at the time they were Lian Li Unifans. My ram went from a 16gb 3200 kit to a 64gb 3600mhz Corsair kit. I looked at my current monitor, a spectre 1080p 24.5in 165hz budget monitor and I upgraded that to a ROG 27in 2560x1440p 175hz monitor to do this build justice. I was excited BUT when the time came to build it I was having a panic attack because I had never built a PC before and I didn't want to break anything. I played Bitwits "how to build a PC" video on my TV and I had that sucker on a loop. I was rewinding, fast forwarding, and watching everything he did with a fine tooth comb to make sure I didn't mess up. Total build time.....I spent a solid 8hrs building this PC. But turning it on for the first time and seeing her come alive was one of the best feelings I had ever had. 10/10 would do it again. I'm now at a point where I want to build a streaming PC just for fun, it's an addiction and I'm glad I went through it.$6,296.22 -

I never really liked showing my end result as I just love the build. I tend to become totally enthralled in making a PC work. so after 3 back to back deployments (and some money in the bank) I decided to pull the trigger and do a new rig build. I am not going to lie to you this build took away from gym time but was well worth it. I built my first PC when I was 14. That would be 1996. A Pentium 286 and it was awesome lol. fast forward to now and components are readily available and there is a monopoly now. Don't get me wrong I still think everything is pretty overpriced but compared to paying $300 for 8mb of "gold tip" RAM its kind of status quo.$6,208.82 -

I built this rig for the primary purpose of 4K gaming, VR gaming, and learning overclocking. I built my first computer in 2007 in high school and since have dreamed of building another over the years. Being in school and while working my way up left me barely enough time to sleep and no money to eat. I now finally have the ability to work from home and I wanted to celebrate with a gaming pc. My brothers and best friends are big into gaming and I can finally join them! In process of building this pc I helped both of my brothers and two of my friends build their gaming pc, all with parts from microcenter at St. David’s! We can finally game together, these computers have brought us all together enduring the crazy year. About the build: Since I am a old counsel gamer I wanted my rig to be in my living room. So I paired the system with a 120hz 75” Samsung 4K 8 series tv and a bowers and Wilkins panaorama 2 sound bar. Built this rig to play my many games at high frame rates while maintaining stellar graphics. I aimed for the 2K resolution as it was the best of both worlds in terms of high refresh rate and still having good-looking graphics. Mainly though, I play games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, Overwatch 2, Wreckfest, Cyberpunk 2077, and many more. For MP games I tend to keep RTX off for the added bump in frames, but for any coop/SP games, I crank everything to 11 and enjoy the beauty. The LG OLED monitor was a perfect choice for me as it provided the refresh rate I wanted while having an incredibly stunning color range and depth of black. Pair that with the 13700K and RTX 4090, and the games not only play super smooth but look incredible while doing so. All this sit on top of the Secretlab Magnus metal desk as I needed something right around this length while having prime cable management and this checked off all the boxes I needed while looking sleek. All in all, everything worked out right the first time, and luckily I planned everything out well enough to where I did not need to reconsider choices. One thing I will change/add in the future is adding my LG 34" UW back into the mix and probably put that on top, just for some extra real estate.$5,869.79 -

This gaming rig has been one of those projects that's been in the making for a lifetime. I've always wanted a gaming rig that matched what I've always seen from "art" looking builds. Big glass panels, fans all over the place, water cooling, and just overkilled for the sake of overkill. Over the last few years I had experimented with water cooling with custom loops, AIO's and all other configurations to get to this point. Honestly this build only happened because the 011 XL came out. At that point I had majority of my parts but in a Define R7. Swapping out and putting into a new home was priority number 1 for me. Moving everything out, and planning the loop the way I wanted with the blocks I wanted was a months long project at the beginning of the year. What sucked was going through multiple iterations of this build, as there was always something else i wanted to add or change. Over the course of this year, I got COVID just as I was starting to perform the build. It sucked because as I finished the first round of the build, I ended up in the hospital. Upon my recovery, it right there waiting for me, but I still wasn't satisfied. Found new mobo, swapped that out, went with monoblock, decided on clear tubing, and decided to veritcally mount the GPU. This PC has gone through multiple iterations, but I think where it's at now, is probably peak of what I'll reach with the current hardware I have. I would love to get my hands on a 3080 founders and a new EK waterblock for those founders, but I will need to be a patient bee for that one for now lol. As of now though, this gaming machine was a lifelong project turned reality all thanks to a new case that met all of my needs. Add that the time it took to gather the hardware, and BAM. We have what we have here. I am adding pictures of the buildout process as well as where it was, and where it's now.$5,758.95 -

I wanted to create my first hard line tubing build, and wanted to try to make rgb look good. So I went with a minimalist color palette to let the rgb shine, among the black, nickel, and clear components. I also wanted to try a vertical gpu mount, which lead me down the path of creating 3d printed parts as the stuck mount was unappealing to me. I also have included my fiber 10gbit nic behind the gpu, another factor that influenced my vertical bracket design. Lian Li provides the 3d model for my case freely, which made the prototyping phase much faster. In hindsight I wish I had incorporated a modification to the top cover plate to allow greater airflow, the system can get quite toasty with a few games like Cyberpunk. I work from home and game on the same pc, so I don't have any channel or such to promote. Since I am limited to a few photos here without context, I would like to share the forum link where I have my full build log you can check out for additional photos https://hardforum.com/threads/project-black-glass.2015333/$5,737.21 -

I wanted something that looked better in the room than a desk with 2 monitors on it. I "joke" with people that I took my inspiration from Donatello's computer in the Ninja Turtles movie. I may be done adding monitors for a while. Everything is mounted to the wall and the desk raises and rolls out. Mostly I use it to watch Netflix and help developers build code. After a while, I also decided that I wanted to game on that computer, what's the point of having two graphic cards if you won't play a couple of games. Plus, everything looks so impressive on a 5k screen, so crisp! I needed specifics parts that were compatible with Hackintosh; it was a lot of research but fun! This build is primarily built for gaming, such as playing CyberPunk 2077, GTA V, Forza Motorsport Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, Death Loop, and others. I don't play online much as I have always preferred playing offline at my own pace. I'm a diehard campaign guy. When I'm not gaming on this its lots of surfing the internet and streaming videos on YouTube. I am not a streamer on Twitch or anything though I am contemplating doing so in the future. Would buy the Elgato face camera. With a rig like this why not take advantage of it? Case is built in the Corsair 5000D airflow in white along with black computer parts. Always loved Corsairs computer cases and this one caught my eye right away once I started seeing advertisements for it on YouTube. I have always been a fan of the black parts on white case contrast vs the "whiteout" or "blackout" builds everyone else seems to be doing. The fans I chose to use are the new Lian Li UNI AL120mm fans, which are AWESOME. Every other manufacture needs to create daisy chain-able fans like this. Game changer for cable management. I did decide to take advantage of the extra side fans the 5000d airflow allows you to use, bringing my total number of fans to 10. This is more of an experiment by me as I'm honestly not sure how much they will truly help my thermals. Will probably keep them just for the look more than anything. Makes the case seem much more full. I am never settled with my rig and am always tweaking it (currently talking myself out of Intel 12th gen as my CPU still is awesome). The next change I see myself doing is getting some custom power supply cables from Cable Mod to really give this build a professional look. Haven't pulled the trigger yet though.$5,580.93 -

What started out as a simple build in late January, to help process photos in Lightroom and 4k drone footage, quickly got out of hand as March rolled around and everyone one was stuck inside. Next, after a 13 year hiatus Steam was installed back on the computer and CSGO with the old crew was back in full swing. The bones of this system in January were a Ryzen 9 3900, Asus TUF x570, Gskill 32gb, Raedeon 580, a Samsung Evo 970 pro n.2 and a Corsair HX Power supply pretty grand prix by some standards. With all the hours of usage added to the machine in March I couldn't go forward without making a couple of major upgrades. On more than one occasion (two) I maxed out the 32gb of ram in Lightroom and Premiere so that was the first upgrade 128gb ddr4 RGB Corsair Vengeance. Also, when I first bought the Ryzen 9 3900 I didn't fully realize what a powerhouse I was getting. Pairing the Ryzen 9 up with the Raedeon 580 felt like owning a Ferrari and putting regular gasoline in it. The next upgrade was the RTX 2080ti. It felt a little bit dangerous running all these components with a power supply that was 8 years old so after doing a bit of research I found that the Corsair RM850 had some of the best acoustics in the RM series. Other notable mentions in the computer are all Noctua coolers and fans also chosen for acoustic qualities. The last bit was I realized I still had an N.2 space to fill so I grabbed a 2TB XPG S50 NVME drive, this thing is a rocket, I regret not installing windows on it, that's the only regret I have with this system. Onto the most important parts of the computer, the peripherals. Having a powerful supercomputer is great but it's worth nothing if you're clicking a crappy mouse and using rubber doomed keyboard switches. For the keyboard and mouse I was pretty flexible for the most part with requirements but I did have one very import requirement that limited my available selection greatly, its 2020 and they have to be wireless, I can't have wires on my desk it's just in appropriate at this point. For the mouse it was between the Logitech G703 and the Corsair equivolent. I went Logitech just because it was a bit more low profile. Keyboard was a much more complex decision with a much more complex result. There are no to very few wireless keyboard options with Cherry MX brown. So after weeks of quarantine research I went with Keychron K2 with Gateron browns, it's a great keyboard but I dove down the rabbit hole on mechanical keyboards. The result was Keychron K6 hot-swap with Zealios V2 switches and Tai Hao PBT Keys definitely a very special board and lots of fun to put together. The last peripheral that I didn't get into yet is the monitor. I started with a 32 Samsung 4k Curved. This was fine for the level of editing I was doing when I first got the computer. Once I started gaming the 60hz just didn't cut it. I grabbed an Acer Predator 4k 120hz and it was great but expensive for a 27 inch monitor, it also didn't have every feature I was looking for like HDR 1000. The only monitor that does have that is the ASUS ROG 27 which is even more expensive. After another couple of weeks of research and decision trees I decided to give the LG C9 55 inch OLED TV a try as my computer monitor wall mounted, best decision I've ever made in my entire life. It's got all the features you want from the ASUS ROG 27" monitor for the same price and its OLED the best local dimming you can have, the contrast, colors and HRD are the BEST. Lastly I'll mention the case. I made this case custom in college 10 years ago as a Hack Pro. I took a G5 Apple Case, cut the back out and threw a Lian Li Motherboard tray in soldered some wires on the front panel. During Corona Virus quarantine I took the customization to the next level. I painted the interior Matte Black to bring it up to modern standards and made more modern cable routing possible under the motherboard tray,it was one of the best 3AM start time projects I've ever done. It really elevated the level of the system. Started this build in August to be prepared for the RTX30 launch, just waiting to get my hands on one. I mostly use it for VR racing and flight sims but play a wide range of games. This was my 3rd custom build to start from scratch and I'm ecstatic how this one turned out and how well it runs even with a 2 generation old GPU. Will be including the new graphics card in the custom loop. *I'm working out of town and haven't been able to set it up in my office so I submitted a picture of my home setup to which this pc will trade places with once I'm back home*$5,321.94 -

Games played on this involves Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon, Overwatch, Valorant and the Witcher Series. I run a small Youtube channel named Cobiestech, and with the power of this machine, I am able to produce content easily with no hiccups. I use Adobe Premier Pro to render my videos and it handles that like a dream. At first I was using lesser parts, but as my channel grew, so have the components and I have finalized my build with the recent inclusion of the Ryzen 5800x. Red Storm is built on a Gigabyte Z390 Xtreme board with an Intel i9-9900K CPU, 32gig of Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB RAM (3600MHz); 5 Samsung SSD's (2 NVMe, 3 SATA), an AMD Radeon VII GPU. For the OS, I’m running the latest 64-bit version of Windows 10 Pro, ver. 2004, build 19041.388. My Monitor is a 24-inch NEC wide gamut monitor @ 1920 x 1200. I tend to organize my files/media by drives so I use a 512gig NVME 970 Pro for my OS drive, a 1TB 970 Pro NVME for my finalized photos/work images. A 2TB 960 EVO for games, 1TB 860 EVO for music files, and 2 TB 860 EVO for on-site minor backups. This is a multimedia build used for photo editing via Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, gaming (Division 2, Metro Exodus, Skyrim), audio rips (dBpoweramp), music streaming (Plex, JRiver Media Center), and school/work (Office 365). While the system is capable of overclocks of 5.1gig, I keep it at base settings (XMP enabled) to not only insure stability, but quietness. It’s is housed in a Cooler Master H500M (mesh front) case, which has 3 case fans – a real Corsair 140mm ML (Magnetic Levitation) RGB fan, two front stock Cooler Master 200mm LED fans. The CPU cooler is a Corsair H115i Pro RGB platinum AIO with two stock 140mm ML RGB fans. The 1000-watt EVGA power supply has an Eco mode that prevents the fan from running unless the power supply is pushed. And the AMD Radeon VII (16gig of HBM VRAM) has 3 stock 75mm fans that constantly run but are silent unless pushed as in gaming (Example Division 2). The end result is an incredibly quiet build that keeps temps at bay (idle 30, loads 78ish while gaming). My room ambient temps average 76F/25C (78 summer, 74ish winter) Also connected to the PC is a Teac UD-503 USB DAC which has inputs for USB, Analogue, and Digital. I USB for clean musical sounds, and the motherboard’s built in ESS Sabre HiFi DAC (using Realtek drivers) for gaming or YouTube. I'm really happy with this build :)$5,230.15 -

Walking through Micro Center one day to get a new fan for my good old Raidmax Smilodon case and made the mistake of walking past the cases, saw a core P3 black on the shelf and had to build one for myself, and so it began, which color which was a back and forth decision for some time. Had to bail on building it few times due to other circumstances and just kept researching and getting parts over I would say 2 to 3 years, some accessories are past over from last build though. Built it for gaming and just general use, do a little go-pro video editing from time to time. Really do not have any upgrade plans for the tower at this time but we all know how fast that can change. Definitely would like to in time upgrade old been through it all desk that started as a U desk and due to space keeps getting smaller and also some better cable management for the desk. Custom loop would also be a possible upgrade but do not like the idea of constantly changing the coolant and I like simple (LOL) so to be determined, that being said next will more then likely be VR. Types of games really I am all over the place, it is really whichever I got hooked on for the moment. Forth build I have technically done but always had a sidekick that honestly knows much more and this one is the first I was solo on other then texting questions and thoughts to said sidekick <(leader of what to get and do)(LOL), also is where the Klipsch 5.1 came from (great friend).$5,228.69 -

The Maximus z790 HERO, Ryujin II, and Lian Li infinity fans were chosen for their looks. Noctua A14 fans were carried over from the previous build, I don't see them so they're not getting replaced with Lian Li fans. The Strix 4090 is very nice, I got an open box from Microcenter. No complaints! Tackles any game with high frames at the moment. There was a G.Skill Trident RGB ram kit initially, but it seems the motherboard didn't like the kit in XMP and would spit out error code 55 whenever I rebooted the system. The corsair kit works perfectly. I had issues with the RGB on the G.Skill kit as well where it would not sync with the motherboard, so I opted to go with no RGB on the current kit. I did double check my contact frame on the CPU, that did not seem to be an issue for the error code. The SATA SSDs are from previous builds over the years, if anything were to be upgraded, these would be swapped out for NVME drives. They're used for older games at the moment, with newer releases being installed on the NVME OS drive. The Evolv X looks great and is carried over from a past build. Cable management was a bit difficult with the 2 different hubs needed for the Lian Li fans and the Ryujin II cooler. I'd choose a different case with a bit more space for cable management and better airflow in the future. The ROG Thor P2 1200w is overkill and the last power supply I plan to buy. It is a bit long for the Evolv X's PSU cut out, with the RGB being cut off. Both hard drive cages are removed in the bottom to accommodate for the PSU length and cable slack.$5,121.45 -

For Work: Lightroom Photoshop Premier Pro After Effects Blender Handbrake For Play: DCS World MSFS 2020 Cyberpunk 2077 Baldurs Gate This thing is a beast and blow my old intel setup away. I need to get a better GPU support. The dowel rod is a little out of place. I am trying to come up with something to print, but I haven’t found anything yet. I may look to upgrade the cooling system in the future. It works pretty well but I think there is room for improvement. Gaming it hits low 60’s and under heavy load in video work it will get into the low 70’s. I am considering getting 2 more fan control and rgb boards. It works fine on my current set up but I can clean up the wiring in the back a lot more if I didn’t have all of it going to a single point.$5,114.85 -
