This "Special Edition" chip for the LGA 1700 socket represents the current top of the line for Intel's 14th Gen Raptor Lake processors.
Priced at $749, this is the premium end of the consumer CPU market, reflecting its advanced specs and performance capabilities, and is a direct replacement for the previous 13900KS.
For specs, the Core i9 14900KS has a base clock of 3.2 GHz, ramping up to a hefty 6.2 GHz. It has 8 Performance cores and 16 Efficient cores, complemented by 32 threads, providing a multifaceted powerhouse capable of tackling the demanding applications and games. The processor also features an expansive cache with 36 MB L3 and 32 MB L2, which should be good for rapid data access.
