Basic Gaming PC that I have built for general purpose - programming, light e-sport gaming and study. It still can run many games in med settings and is very good for production. It has plenty of SSD storage of 1TB, in the future, I may update RAM for 32GB dual channel and GPU. Want to upgrade to RX 6600.$284.95 -

The options would be that I either build a new pc for a good price (~$300) with some parts I have or a new macbook for like 1k. This would just be for general use$387.96 -

I had an (probably 10 years) old computer that I built and have been using it daily ever since. At two separate points throughout it's lifecycle, I made two massive upgrades - 1) going from an HDD boot drive to an SSD, and 2) upgrading the video card from one that was mid-range at the time of installation to a modern mid-range card. The video card upgrade was probably 3-4 years ago. Now that I am permanently remote in my day job, I get to spend an enormous amount of time on sitting at my computer. With new lines of CPUs having just been released, I figured now was as good of time as any to do a full, much-needed rebuild of my daily PC. I work on my computer for the full day, every day, and work on side projects (web development, writing, etc.) in the evenings. I do some gaming, but haven't really had a capable machine to really enjoy it in many years. With that, I am many years behind on PC games, so I don't need to play the latest and greatest. With that, and a budget, in mind, I built the whole system from the ground up, but decided to reuse the existing video card. GPU prices are ever-so-slightly beginning to come down, so I thought I'd wait a bit to buy one while catching up on the past 6-8 years of games I haven't been able to play.$869.93 -

My primary use for this is video editing in DaVinci Resolve, and some photo editing, as well as everyday browsing and such. I was shooting for a $1200 budget, $2000 with monitors, and just about met it. Performance has been great with DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop and Lightroom. My only quibble has been that sometimes it's a little slow to wake the monitors from sleep.$2,064.87 -

Typical games are Sim Racing titles such as Assetto Corsa, iRacing, Project Cars 2; Battle Royales, and The Division 2 (with cool lighting effects supported by iCue). Ultimately will be Twitch streaming my racing career. Halfway through piecing it together I realized that I had a lot of Corsair components (case, PSU, rgb lights) I went ahead with the HD series RGB fans over the case-included stock fans and the newly released A100 CPU air cooler (dropped Ryzen 3600 temps from stock cooled 45C idle to 26C idle!) to complement my K63 TKL board and Nightsword and XL sized desk mat. Latest components to the build include the add-on LS100 kits for very cool, smooth lighting effects to complement the original RGB strips. Along the way I was inspired to add the LS100 strips directly to my GPU support tower not as subtle lighting, but making it full up-front and visible. The 275R Airflow case is lightyears better than my old 2008 Newegg case, with way better cable management and expansion options. The mesh front, top, and PSU are easy to clean and keeps the case relatively dust-free.$1,092.92 -
