This build is primarily for gaming but I do dabble a bit in content creation. I also do a steady amount of work from home here. For work I rent the cameras that shoot most major motion pictures and TV Shows. I am based in Los Angeles California. This is what I would consider revision #6 of my entire setup spanning from ~2011 to present day. Is a build ever really complete?$11,333.57 -

This is my third ever build, I purchased all the parts at the end of May this year and assembled all at once. While I know the machine is overkill for what I use it for and so many look better this was my dream PC and it feels so damned good using this beast! The reason I went all out for this build compared to my previous system (R7 3800x 2070 super) was I lost my Mother unexpectedly in May last year, I received a small amount of inheritance exactly one year after she passed and felt this would be the best way to immortalise my best friend. My first ever gaming PC was a Dell prebuilt with a 7600GS and a core 2 duo I belive, she bought me this when I was fourteen, even before this she encouraged my love of computers with a second hand commodore 64. Miss you!$9,188.90 -

This machine is a culmination of several years of saving and several months of hunting parts on every possible retailer. Sitting out in the lines in front of Micro Center on cold January mornings, watching dozens upon dozens of browser tabs from every possible online retailer refreshing across six displays. Finally, it runs. 2019/2020 were some pretty rough years so this is a present to myself. Cable management isn't complete because PCIE riser cable is not PCIE4.0 compatible, and the card has to come out again at some point, the radiator also has to be remounted because supplied screws weren't quite long enough, and there is temporary hardware installed for now. AIO head unit cover is not in place until radiator is remounted (need hose slack to install).Once all cable management is complete and parts are finally in place permanently, all the peel will come off. Practically 100% ASUS ROG build, hence the build name, ROG HARD.. Raid took some effort to get working as the documentation hasn't been updated for 5000 series CPU's. Currently the system is overclocked to 4.6ghz all cores, and GPU boosts to 2025. I built this monster for 3d/2d art, CAD, 3d printing, video editing, streaming, gaming, might try some mining too, just to learn the ropes. I live streamed the build form the living room while I am remodeling the spare room into a stream studio. Once I move it into the the studio I will set up the full triple monitor lay out.$7,531.93 -

Firsts: - Liquid Cooling - Custom PSU Cables - Custom Paint Job I built this machine to handle everything I could throw at it, all the while streaming without a 2 PC setup. This computer dabbles in a little bit of everything in my daily life. FPS, Creative games like Satisfactory, VR, Multi-camera tabletop gaming setups, 3D print design, etc. I'm pretty happy with everything I've put into this to suit my needs, so upgrade are minimal. - Complete cable management on backside, all the necessary extensions are sitting in a box, just need the motivation to re-wire everything - Troubleshoot LED lighting, it's such a pain to get everything dialed in, and the EKWB Hub is a little ball of constant issues - Upgrade NVME storage to take full advance of read/write speeds$6,934.75 -

I was on console for the longest time and I was finally convinced to get a PC by my friends (they were all on PC and I was the only one on PS4). So August of 2020 I bought my first PC a Cyberpower Pre-Built. It was super basic a Ryzen 3600 and 2060 Super but it got the job done for me and I was hooked. Fast forward to 2021 I moved back to Texas and sold my house in Nevada and made a good chunk of my money so.....I decided to build my dream PC! I started with the basics (case, AIO, Ram) but then I thought "I can afford it....why not build the most expensive, over the top, build I can......" So the hunt began.....I spent weeks refreshing best buy, newegg, microcenter, etc trying to find an RTX 3090 and a Ryzen 5900x or 5950x. Slowly but surely I was finding the parts I wanted. I needed fans so I looked for the most expensive fans I could find at the time they were Lian Li Unifans. My ram went from a 16gb 3200 kit to a 64gb 3600mhz Corsair kit. I looked at my current monitor, a spectre 1080p 24.5in 165hz budget monitor and I upgraded that to a ROG 27in 2560x1440p 175hz monitor to do this build justice. I was excited BUT when the time came to build it I was having a panic attack because I had never built a PC before and I didn't want to break anything. I played Bitwits "how to build a PC" video on my TV and I had that sucker on a loop. I was rewinding, fast forwarding, and watching everything he did with a fine tooth comb to make sure I didn't mess up. Total build time.....I spent a solid 8hrs building this PC. But turning it on for the first time and seeing her come alive was one of the best feelings I had ever had. 10/10 would do it again. I'm now at a point where I want to build a streaming PC just for fun, it's an addiction and I'm glad I went through it.$6,296.22 -

I built this rig for the primary purpose of 4K gaming, VR gaming, and learning overclocking. I built my first computer in 2007 in high school and since have dreamed of building another over the years. Being in school and while working my way up left me barely enough time to sleep and no money to eat. I now finally have the ability to work from home and I wanted to celebrate with a gaming pc. My brothers and best friends are big into gaming and I can finally join them! In process of building this pc I helped both of my brothers and two of my friends build their gaming pc, all with parts from microcenter at St. David’s! We can finally game together, these computers have brought us all together enduring the crazy year. About the build: Since I am a old counsel gamer I wanted my rig to be in my living room. So I paired the system with a 120hz 75” Samsung 4K 8 series tv and a bowers and Wilkins panaorama 2 sound bar. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5600x GPU: Strix 3090 OC RAM: trident z neo 32gb 3600cl16 Storage: 1tb xpg pcie 4.0 nvme, seagate 3tb hdd PSU: Corsair AX1200 MOBO: Asus TUF x570 plus WiFi Cooling: NZXT x73 Kraken push/pull configuration Case: NZXT H710i black, custom silver cable cover$5,967.94 -

I wanted to create my first hard line tubing build, and wanted to try to make rgb look good. So I went with a minimalist color palette to let the rgb shine, among the black, nickel, and clear components. I also wanted to try a vertical gpu mount, which lead me down the path of creating 3d printed parts as the stuck mount was unappealing to me. I also have included my fiber 10gbit nic behind the gpu, another factor that influenced my vertical bracket design. Lian Li provides the 3d model for my case freely, which made the prototyping phase much faster. In hindsight I wish I had incorporated a modification to the top cover plate to allow greater airflow, the system can get quite toasty with a few games like Cyberpunk. I work from home and game on the same pc, so I don't have any channel or such to promote. Since I am limited to a few photos here without context, I would like to share the forum link where I have my full build log you can check out for additional photos https://hardforum.com/threads/project-black-glass.2015333/$5,737.21 -

What started out as a simple build in late January, to help process photos in Lightroom and 4k drone footage, quickly got out of hand as March rolled around and everyone one was stuck inside. Next, after a 13 year hiatus Steam was installed back on the computer and CSGO with the old crew was back in full swing. The bones of this system in January were a Ryzen 9 3900, Asus TUF x570, Gskill 32gb, Raedeon 580, a Samsung Evo 970 pro n.2 and a Corsair HX Power supply pretty grand prix by some standards. With all the hours of usage added to the machine in March I couldn't go forward without making a couple of major upgrades. On more than one occasion (two) I maxed out the 32gb of ram in Lightroom and Premiere so that was the first upgrade 128gb ddr4 RGB Corsair Vengeance. Also, when I first bought the Ryzen 9 3900 I didn't fully realize what a powerhouse I was getting. Pairing the Ryzen 9 up with the Raedeon 580 felt like owning a Ferrari and putting regular gasoline in it. The next upgrade was the RTX 2080ti. It felt a little bit dangerous running all these components with a power supply that was 8 years old so after doing a bit of research I found that the Corsair RM850 had some of the best acoustics in the RM series. Other notable mentions in the computer are all Noctua coolers and fans also chosen for acoustic qualities. The last bit was I realized I still had an N.2 space to fill so I grabbed a 2TB XPG S50 NVME drive, this thing is a rocket, I regret not installing windows on it, that's the only regret I have with this system. Onto the most important parts of the computer, the peripherals. Having a powerful supercomputer is great but it's worth nothing if you're clicking a crappy mouse and using rubber doomed keyboard switches. For the keyboard and mouse I was pretty flexible for the most part with requirements but I did have one very import requirement that limited my available selection greatly, its 2020 and they have to be wireless, I can't have wires on my desk it's just in appropriate at this point. For the mouse it was between the Logitech G703 and the Corsair equivolent. I went Logitech just because it was a bit more low profile. Keyboard was a much more complex decision with a much more complex result. There are no to very few wireless keyboard options with Cherry MX brown. So after weeks of quarantine research I went with Keychron K2 with Gateron browns, it's a great keyboard but I dove down the rabbit hole on mechanical keyboards. The result was Keychron K6 hot-swap with Zealios V2 switches and Tai Hao PBT Keys definitely a very special board and lots of fun to put together. The last peripheral that I didn't get into yet is the monitor. I started with a 32 Samsung 4k Curved. This was fine for the level of editing I was doing when I first got the computer. Once I started gaming the 60hz just didn't cut it. I grabbed an Acer Predator 4k 120hz and it was great but expensive for a 27 inch monitor, it also didn't have every feature I was looking for like HDR 1000. The only monitor that does have that is the ASUS ROG 27 which is even more expensive. After another couple of weeks of research and decision trees I decided to give the LG C9 55 inch OLED TV a try as my computer monitor wall mounted, best decision I've ever made in my entire life. It's got all the features you want from the ASUS ROG 27" monitor for the same price and its OLED the best local dimming you can have, the contrast, colors and HRD are the BEST. Lastly I'll mention the case. I made this case custom in college 10 years ago as a Hack Pro. I took a G5 Apple Case, cut the back out and threw a Lian Li Motherboard tray in soldered some wires on the front panel. During Corona Virus quarantine I took the customization to the next level. I painted the interior Matte Black to bring it up to modern standards and made more modern cable routing possible under the motherboard tray,it was one of the best 3AM start time projects I've ever done. It really elevated the level of the system. The most fun part of the project was getting everything on the front panel working and getting a female USB-C working through an old Firewire port.$5,441.94 -

Walking through Micro Center one day to get a new fan for my good old Raidmax Smilodon case and made the mistake of walking past the cases, saw a core P3 black on the shelf and had to build one for myself, and so it began, which color which was a back and forth decision for some time. Had to bail on building it few times due to other circumstances and just kept researching and getting parts over I would say 2 to 3 years, some accessories are past over from last build though. Built it for gaming and just general use, do a little go-pro video editing from time to time. Really do not have any upgrade plans for the tower at this time but we all know how fast that can change. Definitely would like to in time upgrade old been through it all desk that started as a U desk and due to space keeps getting smaller and also some better cable management for the desk. Custom loop would also be a possible upgrade but do not like the idea of constantly changing the coolant and I like simple (LOL) so to be determined, that being said next will more then likely be VR. Types of games really I am all over the place, it is really whichever I got hooked on for the moment. Forth build I have technically done but always had a sidekick that honestly knows much more and this one is the first I was solo on other then texting questions and thoughts to said sidekick <(leader of what to get and do)(LOL), also is where the Klipsch 5.1 came from (great friend).$5,228.69 -

Most recent build a few years back utilized a 7700k paired with a 1080 TI and so I wanted to try an AMD CPU. Really fun building this one and I’m really pleased with the performance. I primarily wanted to have a build focused on gaming (Call of Duty, Borderlands 3, Battlefield, and other upcoming games) but also will need to support virtual machines and possibly video rendering. Also wanted room to overlock in the future. No problems with temps while gaming, pretty much upper 60’s c to 70’s c. *Samsung 960 Pro m.2 taken from my other build to use as a boot drive for OS (OS boot times are very fast). Used the Lian Li SL 120 fans for the case and Kraken Z73 (the daisy chaining is pretty cool). I do want to note that the case fans RGB cables are plugged into the fan controller that the 3x fan pack comes with, which is then plugged into the internal USB header (fan cables are then connected to fan ports on motherboard). The AIO is connected to CPU OPT and the radiator fans are connected to CPU Fan. Although the motherboard will fit in the standard Lian Li Dynamic case, I wanted more space (especially with the thicker PSU cables of the EVGA P2 1000!) so I opted for the XL. Highly recommended with the eATX board. Also happened to walk into Microcenter which had the RTX 3080 TI in stock, so I was glad to pick that up :).$4,807.94 -
