I built this as a new personal PC build since I sold my old personal build recently. I use it to play games like Minecraft, Genshin, League, Valorant, etc., and use it for CAD projects. If I were to do things differently I would've gotten the white version of the graphics card but nonetheless the PC has satisfied my expectations. I also only paid around $500 for the system which satisfies my budget expectations.$514.99 -

No case mod cables as well but still looks good with neat cable management.$845.95 -

I've been playing on a 10 year PC with a RX 290 on a 60 Hz monitor with dead pixels, so this is a huge upgrade for gaming experience. Meant to be a gaming rig/workstation to serve as a replacement for my old college laptop as I go off into the world. So far, I'm catching up on older titles I've been missing out on (Tomb Raider, Dark Souls, Doom, etc.), but I'm hoping to be able to run newer games like HZD and GotG without much trouble. Should be a perfect size though as I'll be moving around the country quite a bit.$930.82 -

I got an older retro case from my boss and decided to finally make a sleeper build. It was missing a side panel, so I modeled one and had it laser cut from plexiglass. Used all Noctua fans to try and match the beige case and for great cooling. The case also had minimal cooling (as the previous PC did not need it), so I needed to cut a hole in the top for a fan and get creative with some other fan placements. I play mostly last-gen games, so performance was chosen to be pretty middle ground. I also tend to do a lot of system admin related tasks, so having strange drives like a hot-swap SATA bay helps immensely. I also like retro PC tasks, so I added an adapter to make the floppy disk drive function as a USB device. Overall wonderful build, the only thing I would do differently is try to add more USB ports, as this case does not have any front-panel ports and not enough rear ones. I would like to eventually paint the two drives in front, but have yet to find the time.$1,118.42 -

I couldnt add the case fans in my parts list but they are cooler master mf120 halo. Also I have a western digital 2 tb m.2 ssd. In total i spent 1,300 plus tax which ends up being 1,500. This build is great for the consumer who is looking to build their very first PC without breaking the bank! The AMD AM4 platform is tested well tride and true. It is perfect for both general, business, and gaming use. You can expect quality 1080p or 1440p high frame rates. The two SSD can be swapped out for a singular drive. P.S.: the cpu cooling solution pictured is not necessary. the cooler that comes with the CPU works plenty fine and allows for cool operable temperatures.$1,130.92 -

I'm a graphic designer and work in esports so I dabble into both! I can't wait to get into PC games and continue playing with friends that are strictly only on PC. I built a Mini-ITX PC in 2018 to watch videos and practice Python programming. Fast forward 4 years, I have replaced the original case with a 4000D and switched in a 6700 XT to handle higher end games. Also I brought the RAM total to 32GB since I found websites were eating up more and more memory. If I must describe this build, I must say its been my very first pc handbuilt. The pc case has been with me since my college days and I've come to upgrade it several times. Its a gaming rig built to play some simple games, mmos and adventure games. Everything I've been upgrading has been but the thought: what could I upgrade or add to this build I've swapped out the innards once already and swapped out the gpus 2 times. Made the move from hdds to ssds Witnessed the of Intel, AMD and NVidia Honestly enough most of my parts are left overs from each generation of upgrades that I can't even find my pc case and my old hard drives /ssds Added 2 monitor mounts which made it look like a cockpit of a mech . I even shucked a 12 TB external hard drive as well and still have a cd drive Added 3 monitors for each generation of display. 720p to 2k and from 60hz to 165hz too And even decided to screw around with a projector too. (sadly I went too cheap with the projector I guess) The thrill of this mess and what each upgrade allowed me was no doubt a long journey of glee and Micro center indulged all my needs. The next thing I must upgrade is a new pc case... cuz its falling a bit apart.$1,271.95 -

Named after a mountain in my home state, partially built as a celebration of moving back to a place with alpine terrain. Used for software dev, basic 3d design, and gaming. I still have a lot of things that I want to do with this build, including a better custom cable sleeving job, better ram (hopefully Gigabyte gets their bios firmware figured out soon), custom gpu backplate, and I am thinking of making a custom engraved walnut accent in the space between the front panel fans and the motherboard. The case was a dream to build in, as has been my experience with the Lancools, although I did have one of the included rgb controller pins break off easier than I think it should have. And gigabyte still hasn't released a bios version that will let me run EXPO ram speeds stable so....$1,342.73 -

The GPU was secondhand from r/Hardwareswap. trying to get the best value from decent gear, which allowed me to budget for a new Monitor/Keyboard/Mouse - and a UPS @ 650VA Bought a wooden PC Case on a whim from Amazon - "CYBERWOOD Micro ATX Mini Tower Wooden Computer Case" - turned out better than expected! had issues with fitting the panels together but was able to in the end. the cable management was really tricky since the PSU was vertically mounted with the cables coming close to being in the way of my GPU - anything over 300mm will be a struggle. As i was researching parts i didnt necessarily buy parts for "future proofing" but rather making sure the parts i buy now aren't limited by current hardware limitations. I made sure my CPU/MOBO supported PCIe Gen4, as well as the NVMe SSDs. overall the researching and building was a lot more fun than i thought and i learned a lot about PC components.$1,351.30 -

Really happy with the 6700XT it gives great fps results in all games I play, like RDR2, Cyberpunk, and Project Cars 2, at High or Ultra settings. Granted, this is all at 1080p, but I personally think 1440p is highly overrated. The one thing I would have done different is to get a better water cooler. This one performs fine, but I think it would have made the build look nicer if I went for an A-RGB cooler, to sync with the lights on the front. I'm also planning on adding PSU extensions to make the inside look more tidy. The stock PSU cables aren't the most beautiful cables, haha.$1,594.22 -

The goal with this build was solid gaming performance, good cooling and low noise. I get all the performance I need with great visual fidelity in titles like Halo Infinite, Apex, and other fps games. With a budget less than $2K, I personally feel this build was worth it over equally priced prebuilds. An A tier power supply with a 10 year warrenty, great airflow and noise levels, and 16gb of 3600 CL16 ram are just a few things I wanted for this build. The AUS TUF 6700xt feels like a premium graphics card with a large and heavy cooler.$1,684.97 -

I just started graduate school and I realized it'd be very nice to have a dedicated machine for schoolwork. I'm studying Computer Science at the master's level with a focus on machine learning, so I wanted access to a GPU, which my laptop doesn't have. I had an RX 6700XT lying around so I built a machine around that. In the future I might try and swap it out for an Nvidia card since I'd like to learn CUDA for the purposes of my career, but for obvious reasons I didn't even bother trying to buy one right now... maybe I'll nab one up with the GPU crash that's coming any day now... right? :-) In hindsight I'd probably chose a different motherboard. I discovered while building the computer that the X570 doesn't have a USB 3.2 header. The motherboard I originally planned on getting was unfortunately out of stock so I grabbed this one without properly checking for compatibility.$1,707.92 -

The culmination of a couple years of researching, budgeting and selling stuff. I finally was able to fully upgrade the PC that i bought second hand a while back. I bought most of the parts from microcenter and went there every other week just to understand more and more about building a computer. The PC people were super helpful and helped me understand what i really needed for my uses. The rest of the parts were from GameStop because i had credit from a mistake they made 300$ purchase lol. In terms of my uses for it, I use it to stream, game and to do graphic design. I do a lot of photoshop and love to make photshop animations so having 32Gbs of ram is such a huge difference compared to 16Gbs which use to make my computer crash when i made a photshop file with more than 100 frames. In terms of games i play Apex, Destiny 2, Genshin Impact, Valorant, Fortnite and lots of other narrative graphically intense games such as AC valhalla or Horizon Zero Dawn. There is not much i can say about streaming because I just started doing it and i dont feel like ive gotten to a point where im taking it to the limits, but it does exactly what its supposed to do and doesnt impact my gameplay at all. I am also able to use Cloud stream flawlessly Xbox series X in case i want to use my Apex account with all my cosmetics on Xbox when i stream. Smartkinggg on twitch btw. All and all i am really happy with the build and proud of myself for putting it together all on my own with very few hickups. Theres nothing in hindsight that i might have done different other than maybe be a bit more patient and buy everything at once. Also i dont have good places to take a picture of the build from a far so i thought i would focus on the internals and different stages of me building it. Purple is my favorite color in case you couldnt tell lol.$1,736.66 -
