Watch: eufyMake E1 UV Printer Tested! Custom Keycaps, 3D Prints & More
We put the eufyMake E1 UV Printer to the test, customizing keycaps, texturing a 3D print, and printing a mug.Maker Projects
In this episode of the Micro Center Lab, we put the eufyMake E1 UV Printer through its paces, and it turns out the real question isn't what this printer can put ink on, it's what it can't. Over the course of the video, the team customizes a set of mechanical keycaps, adds an AI-generated texture to a 3D-printed box, and turns a plain mug into a one-of-a-kind gift, all with the same machine.
First up: keycaps. The E1 lays down UV-curable ink directly onto mechanical keyboard keys, curing each layer with UV light as it goes. Because the printer uses built-in cameras and lasers to detect the exact shape and position of whatever it's printing on, it can register artwork precisely even on small, oddly shaped objects.
Next, the team takes a 3D-printed box and adds a raised, textured relief pattern, a good look at how UV printing goes beyond flat color, building up physical texture layer by layer instead of just staining a surface.
The last project brings in the E1's rotary printing attachment, which lets the printer wrap artwork around a curved surface. That's how a plain mug becomes a fully customized one, printed with the same precision as the flat projects.
Along the way, the video breaks down what's actually happening under the hood: UV-curable ink that sets instantly under UV light, camera-and-laser alignment for object detection, raised and textured printing for a tactile finish, and that rotary stage for anything with a curve.
Whether you want to add some flair to your own 3D prints, make custom gifts, or start selling personalized products, the eufyMake E1 opens up a lot of doors.
