Samsung 9100 PRO SSD Benchmarks
Whether you’re working with AI, productivity apps, or just gaming, high-speed storage is an absolute must have and you’ll be hard-pressed to find an SSD faster than Samsung’s brand-new 9100 PRO line of drives. Samsung says that these new Gen 5.0 M.2 SSDs have read/write speeds of up to 14,800MB/s and 13,400MB/s respectively, and we’re here to put that to the test with real-world benchmarks.

Samsung’s 9100 PRO drives make full use of PCIe 5.0 for speeds up to 2x faster than the previous 990 PRO series. Available in sizes up to 8TB, the 9100 PRO drives are fantastic options for any PC, no matter the use case.
For gamers, SSDs are practically required for modern games, like the new Monster Hunter Wilds. SSDs help cut down on load times and create seamless transitions, like in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. Even games that don’t require SSDs, like Helldivers 2, can see a huge boost in load times thanks to the increased speeds of SSDs.
