NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Benchmarks
4K, 1440p, and 1080p ResultsBuying Guides
NVIDIA just released the GeForce RTX 3060, which is their newest entry-to-mid level gaming graphics card. We’re going to be taking a look at how it performs and offer some in-game benchmarks that you can use as a comparison and better help you make a clear choice as to whether or not you should be upgrading your GPU.
For these benchmarks, we’re using the same base system that we used in our review of the GeForce RTX 3070 - the Maingear Vybe 2, but with a GeForce RTX 3060. The Vybe 2 has an AMD Ryzen 3900X and 32GB of 3200MHz DDR4 memory. We chose a system with a lot of headroom on the CPU and RAM to avoid bottlenecks.
Since NVIDIA has not released a reference version of the GeForce RTX 3060, we used the ASUS RTX 3060 TUF Gaming OC.
We chose a few recent titles as well as some that were a bit older to show the performance across a variety of games that you may own or consider playing. As always, If you think of a game with a built-in benchmark that we should add to our list, let us know what you’d like to see in future discussions!

First impressions of the GeForce RTX 3060 are solid. The ASUS TUF OC model was extremely quiet; even under max load with high temperatures, it never exceeded 57 degrees Celsius. While the GeForce RTX 3060 is definitely not a graphics card with 4K gaming in mind, it can handle 1440p gaming in several titles. If you're gaming at 1080p, you're more than set to have a great time.
