There are two distinct feature sets to the Vive Eagle glasses, though they do work in harmony: the hardware and the software. So, it makes sense to break this guide into two sections as well, one to go over the digital features and one to go over the design and hardware of the glasses. So, let's start with those physical features.
HTC VIVE Eagle Smart Glasses
The Hardware
The Vive Eagle glasses come in two distinct shapes, each with further options for lenses. The Square model features, as the name implies, a more square shape for the frame, most notably at the base of the lenses. The Pantos model is far more rounded with a smooth, gentle curve around the lenses. The lenses range from traditional clear to adaptive lenses all the way up to full-protection sunglass lenses.

Just underneath is the tech that makes these glasses so smart; a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 12 megapixel camera capable of recording up to 3K quality video. Each arm of the glasses include a speaker designed so that only you can hear it without losing ambient awareness.
The on-board 235mAH battery supports up to 36 hours in a single charge. That charge can go even further with the clip-on HTC VIVE Eagle Power Boost, adding up to an extra 80% charge to the glasses. Of course, all of this tech isn’t for nothing, as it powers the plethora of digital services the VIVE Eagle smart glasses can provide.
The Software
If you need an assistant that can keep up with a fast-paced lifestyle, the VIVE Eagle glasses can provide. They can be used with either Google Gemini or ChatGPT, whichever AI you may prefer, and support a wide range of helpful daily-use features, including visual and audio queries. In more layman’s terms, the glasses can make use of both camera and microphone to help answer questions about the world around you. Take a picture of the fridge in the morning, then ask the on-board assistant about what’s available at home for dinner hours later at work.

The VIVE Eagle also supports live translation, making those trips abroad a little bit easier. Pick up a menu in Mandarin and the glasses can help you understand what exactly it is you’re about to eat. Or, use the Listening or Conversate mode for quick audio translations to help cross communication barriers easier than ever before.
There is a lot that the VIVE Eagle can do, but most of it is going to be down to your own use case. Maybe that means taking first-person footage of skiing Vale or your child’s tenth birthday, or maybe that means getting a live translation during a mid-flight business call. Either way, Micro Center has the VIVE Eagle in-store and ready for your next adventure, meeting, or party.
