G.Skill Breaks Barriers with DDR5-8133 CSO-DIMM RAM
G.Skill’s dual announcements highlight the rapid evolution of DDR5 technology.News

Amid all the big news from CES 2025 about new GPUs and CPUs, we shouldn't overlook the critically important role of components like RAM and the advances being made by brands like G.Skill, with its new DDR5-8133 CSO-DIMM modules and DDR5-6400 CL30 high-capacity kits.
Pushing the Limits: DDR5-8133 CSO-DIMM
In collaboration with ASRock, G.Skill has showcased the overclocking prowess of its DDR5-8133 CSO-DIMM (Clock Signal On-Module Dual Inline Memory Module). This type of memory is usually found in laptops, but also is suited for compact systems like the upcoming ASRock DeskMini B860.
This 48GB (2x24GB) memory kit works with new Intel Core Ultra 200 series processors and integrates a clock driver directly onto the module for enhanced speed, up to 8133 MT/s (megatransfers per second) with a latency timing of CL46-52-52-130 (a measure of how long it takes for a RAM module to perform specific operations). That makes for better stability and headroom for overlocking, even in a smaller PC case.
High-Capacity Performance: DDR5-6400 CL30
It's not just about small form factor PCs. G.Skill has also announced a new DDR5-6400 kit, offering capacities up to 96GB (2x48GB). Available under the Trident Z5 RGB and Trident Z5 Royal series, this memory kit combines low latency with large capacity, making it ideal for memory-intensive applications.

Compatible with both Intel Z890 and AMD X870 chipset motherboards, the DDR5-6400 CL30 memory kits have been tested with flagship processors like the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K and AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, offering flexibility across platforms, especially for creative professionals or heavy multitaskers.
The kits also support Intel XMP 3.0 memory overclock profiles, allowing users to fine-tune performance easily through motherboard BIOS settings. Overlockers have already shown impressive results. Alongside the flagship 96GB kits, G.Skill plans to release 64GB (2x32GB) and 48GB (2x24GB) configurations.
Both of these new G.Skill products slated for release in Q1 2025.
