Got tired of opening up my Q58 all the time to let my gpu and cpu breath, and really wanted something different. Got lucky and someone local was selling a XTIA Proto-L. Ordered some extra parts for the XTIA and went to work on 3D printing some pieces and sleeving some custom cables for the build. Made a orange set, then a purple set, and it just didn't sit well with my brand new strix 3090. So I decided to try something different and went with gunmetal paracord 425 vs the typical 550 to get some tighter sleeving. As for 3D mods, I knew I needed to add a front/side I/O since I didn't want to tilt the pc everytime I needed to plug something in, so I grabbed a cheap USB C hub from amazon and went to work tinkercading a cover/support for the side. I probably printed 5-6 different variation to finally settle with this one. I also did simple mod of creating a cover for the ugly red riser.$2,219.96 -

I was coming from a full tower with a 5950x with 128gb of Ram and wanted to go to a newer platform. Going to 3D print some legs just to raise it a bit for the bottom fan to me more useful. I have a 3080 in this build but will be changing to a 4080 ProArt one they are available. I also added 3 Noctua NF-A12x15. 2 at the bottom for and 1 at the top near the psu, all on exhaust.$2,922.67 -

I primarily wanted my desktop to take up as small a space as possible and found building out of the NR200 case to be very satisfying. 7900 XT plays anything thrown at it - blew through Starfield at max settings. Highly recommend undervolting the GPU to save thermals. A less power hungry CPU would be even better to reduce heat. As much as I like the SFX-L Asus Loki PSU I chose, I recommend an SFX to gain GPU clearance. Highly advise against an ATX PSU as airflow becomes very difficult to manage. I would also recommend a shorter cooler than the Noctua NH-D15 as I had to force the mesh side panel closed.$2,345.89 -

I saved tons by buying RAM, cooling, and CPU used online. I also managed to find an Aorus Master for $110, which was a steal, even though it doesn’t have CPU OCing. I didn’t want to go too crazy with RGB, but when you keep your lighting at white, blue, and purple, it looks pretty slick, and not like something a 10-year-old drew. I haven’t gotten three of the fans yet, but my temps are honestly doing just fine without them, and I love the NZXT cooling, because it keeps my temps low without being too loud. I’ve been using this for CAD, some 4K gaming at relatively high settings(the GPU is doing fine), programming(hence the i9 and 32GB of RAM), and work/online school. No problems, except that I was considering going for the pricier 6950(which is $200 more expensive, but has 150% the performance of the 6750), and I might eventually upgrade my GPU. Also, the SSD is the slowest m.2 SSD on the market, but it’s still faster than most HDDs, and it was $30. If I were to do it again, I would go for a Samsung SSD for maybe $60, with much better performance. I don’t mind the SSD too much, though.$1,397.91 -

After building my first rig, I was headfirst into the world of PC building. I didn't know my next gaming computer was going to be a space heater though. This build I went for the all white with silver finish aesthetic, and it came out better than I expected. Although it was a bit nerve wracking to troubleshoot the overheating cpu, it was a really enjoyable experience. I use the computer mainly for gaming, I enjoy playing hyper realistic simulation games like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, Forza Horizon 5, and PC building simulator 2 (yes when I said I went headfirst into PC building I meant it), and some other games that this computer is too powerful for. One upgrade I definitely need to consider is getting more storage, because nowadays games somehow manage to take up half an ssd.$2,239.59 -

After extensive research and numerous days and nights dedicated to finding the optimal components within my budget, I was able to successfully assemble it! The performance of this build is great! This CPU and GPU combination I chose is great for intermediate and advanced gaming, consistently achieving frame rates well above 144Hz at 1080p, which is the maximum refresh rate and resolution of my monitor. The temperatures are pretty chill with the cpu maxing at about 60 degree celsius on cinebench and idling at 35 to 40 celsius. The gpu is a little toastier with temps going from 62 to 66 celsius on heaven benchmark and 38 to 43 celsius on idle. I am glad I purchased AIO watercooling for my CPU!$1,610.95 -

The problem I created is that the rest of my old, 7th gen Intel build ended up being a sever bottleneck to the performance I should have been getting from the 6750 XT. Consequently, I pretty much replaced everything else in the build so that I could have a machine that complimented the video card, not weigh its performance down. So far, so good! Right now I'm playing Resident Evil 4 at max settings.$1,439.92 -

I built this PC primarily for gaming, as gaming is my passion and a way for me to relax and connect with friends. I enjoy playing a wide range of games like Apex Legends, Destiny 2, Valorant, and many more. My brother wanted to upgrade from his 3 years old gaming laptop to a proper gaming PC because his laptop is getting old and overheating often. He wanted something fairly powerful and can handle FPS games in 2K resolution. He also wanted it to be a small footprint PC, so he can move it around, so I decided to build him a pc in mini-ITX case. This is my first time building in a such small pc case, so it took me a while to research and make sure the parts I picked fit in nicely. Overall, the building process went smoothly. The cable management was a big mess because it was such a small PC case, but I got it sorted.$2,214.92 -

I built this computer for my husband since his computer was crashing, having weird glitches, and running poorly. Troubleshooting listed a handful of potentially different hardware issues. This computer is built to handle gaming (co-op, survival, FPS, RPG, open world, puzzle, action) some programming, and some CAD for 3d printing (running Atom3d). Build Purpose: I day trade using Thinkorswim, bookmap, and tradingview on two 1440p widescreen monitors. I also run a smaller monitor with OBS set to record the two larger ones. Thinkorswim is mostly a single core application so I wanted a processor with great single core performance. Bookmap is extremely RAM hungry so I went with 64gb to give me some headroom with everything else I'm running. I saved some money on the GPU front; bookmap does benefit from GPU acceleration but I just really needed the GPU to run 3 monitors. I've been wanting to put some of my profits to use. Building thoughts: I had to RMA my first Asrock Z790, the I/O shield was bent and a part that was screwed in had broken off the board. The 2nd one was perfect. Also, I was worried about clearing the AIO tubing around the Dominators because they're so tall, but I saw another post with the tubes routing over the RAM heatsinks and they ended up fitting well. Finally, I went with an 850W PSU just in case I want to upgrade my GPU eventually. Overall, I'm very happy with my build!$2,184.92 -

Also, a shocking display of poor financial decisions, but darn if it isn't a beauty. Very portable thanks to the Lian Li TU150's folding handle! Nice glass side to see the the goods inside. Note that one of the pictures doesn't have a glass side (it's aluminum); I originally bought the Lian Li TU150 without the glass panel, then decided I wanted RGB, so I bought the glass panel version. Included the aluminum panel picture to show a different angle/perspective. Originally I didn't plan on RGB because I wanted to be a cool, smug redditor with an overinflated sense of pride for not hopping on the RGB train. I'm a videographer with the State Department and have always used either an iMac or Mac Pro for editing in Premiere and AfterEffects. After experiencing a forced reboot to Mojave because of driver incompatibility with Catalina, I decided I needed more control and frankly power. So I converted to PC. Since my primary workflow is in Premiere I decided to go with the Ryzen 9 3950X paired with an RTX 2060 Super SC Ultra 8gb. Since I usually travel for work (pre-COVID) I also needed something portable. Hence choosing the Sliger SM580. At 15.8 liters it's pretty compact and easy to transport when I need my workstation mobile. MOBO is a Gigabyte B550 I AORUS PRO AX, with Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200, SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 2280 1TB, Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 on the back. PSU is a Seasonic FOCUS SGX-650, 650W 80+, and to keep things cool I'm using the NZXT Kraken X63. OC is 4.35 at 1.15v with XMP enabled (Mem & FCLK @1600) This is my first build and fortunately, it has been put to work as quickly as I could get it running! Looking forward to maybe trying to go smaller... ;)$2,294.91
