6750 XT upgrade
by George Posted on: 6/15/2023Build Description
i recently made a pretty significant investment in 12gb AMD RX 6750 XT video card. The problem I created is that the rest of my old, 7th gen Intel build ended up being a sever bottleneck to the performance I should have been getting from the 6750 XT. Consequently, I pretty much replaced everything else in the build so that I could have a machine that complimented the video card, not weigh its performance down. So far, so good! Right now I'm playing Resident Evil 4 at max settings.
Favorite Feature
I wasn't even expecting this, but when I bought my video card at Microcenter (AMD RX 6750 XT), there was a code on the receipt that redeems for a completely free game. So I've been enjoying playing the new remake of Resident Evil 4 at much higher visual quality that previously available in the initial RE4 release. Now do be aware that instead of straight-up giving you a game key, AMD first requires you to validate the cpu you have installed by running a specific installable program. I had a little trouble with the AMD rewards application detecting my hardware properly, but after contacting the customer service on the AMD rewards site, I was able to get the redemption processed correctly.
