I am the Director of Photography for a new production company called M. White Productions. What I lack in professional equipment, I make up for in knowledge and creativity. Plus, I do have one Black Magic 4k Micro Cinema camera that I rent from the studio... I have about 3 years of experience in videography, editing, and motion graphics with the Adobe Creative Cloud. I mostly just use photoshop, illustrator, after effects, and premier pro. Specs: Asus Tuf Gaming Plus Wifi X570 Ryzen 7 3800x 16gb DDR4 RAM 3200 GeForce GTX 1650 Super Corsair rm750x PSU 256gb Samsung 860 SSD 1tb HHD I want to upgrade the CPU to the Ryzen 9 3900x. I want to upgrade the RAM to Trident Neo 32gb 3600. She is a tatoo artist who loves Anime, gecko breeding, Adobe Photoshop, digital camera work and playing Final Fantasy. I have never done a water build before. Needless to say, this is not going to be easy but this is going to be a grand adventure. When taking on a build of epic proportions, the key is p-a-t-i-e-n-c-e. That is right, measure three times do it once. All in all, this has been an education and a pleasure. Remember research, research and more research are the prep you need. Water builds can be intimidating but the satisfaction you will feel afterward is glorious. Go take the plunge and build your own "aquarium".

He counted on my computer building and research experience to aid him with the new rig. Right now the build is a work in progress. We hit a snafu with the cpu water block and had to put the water build on hold. My son could not wait to get this baby up and gaming. So we stayed with an air cooled system (and a computer with no name). However in a few months if and when the RTX 3080 pops up, we will continue the water cooling half of the build. We scavenged from the old rig the Thermaltake 1050 watt power supply and Galax Hall of Fame 1070. In the mean time, enjoy the bright and clean look thus far.

I play World of Warcraft and wanted a high end gaming machine for the upcoming expansion. Also going to try MS Flight Simulator when it comes out in August to really push my new machine. In the future I may decide to swap out the two cooling fans in the case with RGB ones to add some more color! I will definitely be using Micro Center moving forward for ALL my computer part needs...no more big box store for me, lol. The associate (David) spent so much time answering all my questions and getting me all the right parts for what I wanted (especially his great recommendation on the GPU). He was not only helpful but his pleasant attitude made the whole experience a joy. Love the Wraith cooling that comes with the AMD Ryzen 7 that I bought. It is a very quiet fan and the colors make the interior of the computer look more like a gaming machine (which is what it is so that is what I was hoping for!) I was also happy to save a few buck when bundling the AORUS B550 PRO AC Motherboard with the Ryzen 7 processor together. Every bit saved helps in these challenging times. My expectations were met in every way for this build from pre-planning to buying to build to loading all programming. Build took approximately 5 hours from the time I laid the unopened boxes on the workspace until the final build was on my desk. Took about another hour and a half to update the BIOS, load Windows 10, and update drivers and install my key programs. My son is a big gamer and he is super jealous of the final product! Thank you Micro Center...I will be back!

I built this PC to replace my laptop - I initially thought I could get a slim gaming laptop and use it for both gaming and productivity, but ended up having to turn it in under warranty 4+ times for some catastrophic issues. This build now lives on my desk and is super quiet while under load playing Tarkov or while hammering away on PCB layout & CAD modeling!

It's dual purpose is both a dedicated workstation for creating content and streaming, as well as gaming. It also serves as a fast, stable workstation for my work as a teacher (I teach creative writing). I also work on a literary magazine. In short, I wear a lot of hats. The upgrade that I came from was an Intel Core i5 Kaby Lake Processor. It was a good quad core processor, but because of the pandemic, I ended up needing to work from a more powerful machine. I went with a Ryzen 7 3700X and I am incredibly glad that I did. This processor is simply incredible coming from a quad core processor. My CPU had been surprisingly the bottleneck for my system for the games that I was playing, which was awful until I upgraded (I currently am speedrunning Resident Evil 2 (2019) and wanted the system to run at 120 FPS (a specific speedrunning category). I also wanted to have an air-cooled PC. As awesome as water-cooled builds are, they are definitely not for me. So I optimized this PC build for both air-cooling and silence, which was great. If there was anything that I could change about this PC currently, it would be the graphics card. I definitely will be upgrading the GPU either late this year or early next year. I would like to see the ray tracing capabilities, but I am waiting on the newer generation of graphics cards to come out, and then make my decision. My EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW Card is an incredible card, and unless the performance jump is substantial, it doesn't make a lot of financial sense to upgrade until the next gen GPUs are out. I'd also like to add an M.2 drive as well, preferably 1TB to make any storage issues obsolete.

For the longest time, I was playing games like Fortnite and Minecraft on my 2016 13" MacBook Pro, dual-booted with Windows 10. However, gaming performance was subpar with this; I wanted to be able to enjoy games graphically but also wanted something portable since I was moving between my dorm room and my home a lot. About a year later, in August 2018, I bought an eGPU with a Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580. This was definitely a step up but it was a pain to maintain and keep operational, as Windows 10 updates constantly broke it and caused error 12. Shortly after buying my eGPU, I began doing research on building my own PC and saving up. I did research off and on for a couple years and then, this past spring after COVID hit and quarantine started, I finally decided to pull the trigger and build my own PC. I did a bunch of research on what the best parts were and how to actually build my computer. After I had my list of parts nailed down, I started watching prices. I saw my local Micro Center had only one Sapphire Nitro+ RX 5700 XT Special Edition in stock, so I went ahead and ordered it for pickup. I got to Micro Center and decided to look around for a bit, as it was my first time being in one. While I was there, I decided I might as well pick up my case too. However, an employee asked me if I needed any help. Long story short, I walked out of Micro Center that day with everything I needed to build my PC (whoops). Later that night, I began building my PC. It went fairly well, but I did struggle with getting the motherboard into the case. Being a first time builder, I attached the Z63 pump to the CPU right away-- that meant that I had to somehow get the motherboard in while also holding the radiator and not putting too much stress on the pump. I didn't want to take off the pump, as I feared messing up the pre-applied thermal paste. I was finally able to get the motherboard in and the rest of my build was pretty easy. Shortly after I completed the build, one of the lights went out in one of the fans on my RX 5700 XT. I took it back to Micro Center to replace, but they did not have the same one in stock, so I just decided to use my RX 580 from my eGPU and save up for when AMD releases new GPUs. The PC performs great and playing games on it is a blast. The white NZXT case is simple and pleasing to look at. I'm extremely pleased with my choice of parts. I mostly use the PC for gaming, playing anything from PVP games like Fortnite or Warzone, to other games like No Man's Sky or Satisfactory. I am able to run everything on high-ultra settings and get 60+ FPS. I would love to be able to get more frames, but my monitor is only a 60Hz monitor, so I am not too concerned about that right now. Next to upgrade will be the monitor and then the GPU. I'm hoping to find a nice 1440p 144Hz monitor during Black Friday or Amazon Prime Day. I am hoping to stick with AMD for my next GPU, but would also love to get a GPU capable of ray-tracing. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments!

Originally built this so my previous rig could go to my girlfriend since the old build I did for her finally ceased to work. Looking into possibly streaming, but I just wanted to be able to do 1440p gaming at high to ultra settings and stick with air cooling. Entertaining the idea of upgrading the GPU at some point but for the time being a 2060 Super will more than suffice, especially after trying out two 5700 XTs that gave me absolutely nothing but issues and headaches. May also look into getting a different PSU when the shortages end.

I bought all of the parts in the Westmost Microcenter. I built the PC mainly for gaming, and day to day use. Some examples of games I play are CS:GO, City Skylines, Warzone, and GTA. I feel like gaming really gives you a chance to connect with people who have the same hobbies and interests as you. Some upgrades I plan on doing in the future are some custom cables to go with my color scheme (Ones in my case right now were taken from another build), Vertical GPU Bracket, and probably upgrading components as they get outdated.

I had been using a MSI gaming laptop for 6 years but now things have changed! This was my first mini-ITX build and also the first time using rigid tubing! It was an exciting build to explore liquid cooling and create a system for 1440p gaming. Runs many games really smooth on 1440p. such as World of Tanks, Destiny 2, GTA 5, World of Warcraft, Overwatch, COD Warzone, and... I'll need more storage space for more games. For future upgrades, I would like to add two 1TB SATA SSDS and if necessary another 1TB NVMe Drive. I like playing all types of games and look forward to having a large library of games to choose from instead of uninstalling and reinstalling all the time. Doing the PETG tube bends in the H210i was a challenge but it was so satisfying to utilize most of the space in a small case. I'm thinking of adding one of the dyes that came with the Liquid Devil when I drain the distilled water to install Noctuas in the front of the case; currently using Cougar 120mms. CPU and GPU temps at idle are 40-45C, as ambient is above 32C since I built this PC. At loads, temps range from 55 to 65C depending on the game. Undervolted the 5700XT and not OC'ing the 3700x. Little worried about the CPU temps being higher than the GPU at idle but I will continue to monitor it.
