The thermals were awful and the PSU / MB were non-standard, so I transferred the CPU, GPU, RAM and drives to a new case with a new MB and PSU. As parts were on sale (or available) I swapped out a bit at a time. Grabbed an i9 9900k when Microcenter clearanced them (and an Arctic AIO w/ VRM cooling). Needed overclocked RAM then, so picked up 32gb of Ballistix 3600 DDR4. Swapped out the 256gb NVME w/ a 1tb WD SN750 and added four 1tb SATA HDDs I had lying around into a RAID10 array for anything that didn't need SSD speeds. Finally managed to get a Gigabyte Waterforce Extreme RTX 3080 w/ AIO, which also required a PSU upgrade. Now the HP is back together for my kids to use!$2,277.90 -

When I moved from west coast to east in 2019, I sold my previous PC (4790K, but I kept GTX 970 alone). Then I need a new one to play Dota 2 and do PS on my personal photos (some subscription on Instagram). I decided to build with the latest CPU at that time. I bought all the parts (9900k + RTX 2070 + 970 pro) in Micro Center in mid 2019 and built the current one. After I assembled them, I regret only bought 16GB(2*8) memory. So I bought another set of 32GB(2*16) and added them to the PC. So it is wired that I got 48GB memory, With the 2070 and 970, I got good performance. But now I gave 970 to my friend for temporary usage as the graphic card now is super high. I changed the case to 5000D this year.$2,164.89 -

I am a college student, and just a mid-level gaming guys, only do some GTAV, World of Warships, FFxiv and Assassin Creed games. I also need to run some programs on Unity. I understood I wont have a lot of money to buy all the greatest parts for the best gaming experience, but I still can enjoy most of them in a lower quality. I am also not a LED lover, so some LEDs will be enough for me. I am looking for some upgrades via Micro Center Atlanta for a better CPU(i5-12600K), which will need to buy a new motherboard(z690). They can be easy to find in Micro Center with good price which lower than anywhere else.$1,504.93 -

My old build wasn't hitting high enough fps. I was cpu bottlenecked so the 3700x was a huge upgrade! I play a lot of single player games, mostly RPGs. Fallout, Grim Dawn, Psychonauts 2, THPS 1+2.$1,124.95 -

It can easily play most games thrown at it in 1080p and 1440p. E-sports titles will run flawlessly at ultra frame rates (this can easily handle Fortnite, Valorant, League of Legends, CSGO, GTA5, Minecraft, etc.) and really any new AAA titles will to be run at high for a 60 FPS experience. This computer can also play cyberpunk 2077.$1,287.93 -

My primary use for this is video editing in DaVinci Resolve, and some photo editing, as well as everyday browsing and such. I was shooting for a $1200 budget, $2000 with monitors, and just about met it. Performance has been great with DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop and Lightroom. My only quibble has been that sometimes it's a little slow to wake the monitors from sleep.$2,064.87 -
