I built this computer 6 years ago when I was watching a bunch of PC building channels like Linus Tech Tips and OzTalksHw. Previously, I was gaming on a used Optiplex 780 from ebay that I put an HD7570 in. That rig was a great step up from integrated graphics and allowed me to play many indie titles (Cuphead, Ori and the Blind Forest, Sonic Mania, Dead Cells) and old classics (Black Ops 2, Half Life 2, Far Cry 2). However, I wanted to play some of the more demanding RPG games that the 7570 couldn't handle. The Rx 570 on this build allowed me to play even more titles such as The Witcher 3, Left 4 Dead 2 with mods, Warframe, and almost every FromSoftware game which have become unforgettable experiences. Originally, my PC had a Ryzen 3 2200g (It still has the stickers on the front) and I was using the iGPU for a bit before I got the RX570. I upgraded to a Ryzen 5 5500 recently so I am probably going to get a new GPU soon. The only thing I would change is getting a bigger power supply, since I would need to replace mine with one with 600+ watts if I wanted to comfortably install a card like an RX 6700XT.$499.99 -

Built this pc in 2022 after I bought the parts from Micro Center and some parts from other retailers. I had a crappy laptop that barely worked and I needed an upgrade. I wasn't willing to spend a lot on a pc and wanted to build something that could get the job done while still playing 1080p games smoothly. I play Valorant and FC24 on this pc :)$744.94 -

Nevertheless, the pc works wonderfully and looks aesthetically pleasing too.$794.96 -

So after a much needed revamp and redo of my wife's music room/office, she decided she wanted me to build her a PC of her own. Who am I to turn down a chance to build a new PC? So of course I said yes. She said she wanted something simple, that would allow her to do basic work stuff (Microsoft Office, etc), play a few retro game emulators, and also play around with some basic music creation software. She also wanted a mostly white build, as well as a lot of RGB just for fun. Also to keep the price down, we decided go with an AMD "G" series with onboard graphics so we wouldn't have to buy a video card. After assessing what this PC will be used for, we decided that for now, that would be ok. It's possible we might add a dedicated GPU in the future. This is what we came up with for her PC build.$519.94 -

I mostly play competitive games like Fortnite, CS2, and Valorant so the highest of specs aren’t necessary. Some future upgrades might be the CPU and GPU first, along with some extra storage as 1 TB might be enough now, but maybe not in the future.$650.88 -

Noodles of wires link a ASRock Mini-ITX board and AMD 5600GT CPU, to a Corsair 600W PSU, to two Seagate HDDs and to a NVIDIA Tesla P40 GPU. The case, with all side mesh panels and 5 expansion slots, comfortably holds the hot P40 and is ready for another P40 (with an Micro-ATX upgrade) or other larger GPUs. Optionally, a tophat can be added (expands to 29L) for extra drive capacity. The budget setup with NVIDIA P40 24GB VRAM is good enough for basic local AI inferencing like Meta LLaMA 3. Two P40s will let it load larger 70B models.$821.98
