The name of my system is Challenger because when I started my build back in 2013 it was a challenge to build. Eventually it was challenger to build it better and faster. The performance got better and better every generation. The purpose of my build is for gaming, photo editing, Video editing, light graphic design, web design, and some crypto mining when I'm not using it for watching movies. As you can tell my system has always been put to the test, that is why I have a 1000 watt PSU and 32gb or RAM to make sure I can support anything I throw at it. Before this new model I had a an intel i9-990K and that did great until this 12th gen of CPU's. The 3080ti really comes alive when it comes to games like Red Dead II and Far Cry 6. I didn't my best could get better but it did when I up graded my system to the 12th Gen CPU. All of this performance is viewed by my Alienware 34" Ultra wide 4k Monitor at 120hz. I was truly amazed when I was playing Far Cry 6 at an average of 110fps at 4k when I first played it on this system. I haven't edited any video yet but the moment I get a product I know it will go by in a flash. The Corsair 4000D case was a tight fit for this rig but it really made a complex system look super clean and simple. I was never really into RGB fans but since everything had RGB I had to buy them and now I'm a fan. lol I'm used to full PC cases but now there is no such thing as a full size case any more since they cover the bottom end with a PSU cover. So if you are like me and had an old full size case with no PSU cover, keep it if you ever want to add a second card for any reason. The Corsair 4000D fits a full size ATX motherboard but that last PCIE slot is going to be just for show. Nothing more than one card fits ion this mid size tower and that also goes for the full size frame as well. This the first time time that I have bought an Asus ROG Maximus Hero motherboard and this board is nothing but high class. You truly get what you pay for in this board. The only thing you'll be sorry about is the price but once you open the box and see all the cool features it comes with you'll be excited to plug it in. The board comes with so many features it would take too long for me to list them but I will say that there is a button that helps you release your GPU from the board which is super helpful. The board also support about 4 NVME SSD's, Two on the board and two on an addition PCIE attachment that comes with the board. This board also has a pretty interesting display that is not that bright but very cool to look at. The board also has plenty of slots for those of you that like to build custom water cooled rigs. I personally use a Corsair AIO cooler H100I Elite Capellix and it does just fine. Mixed with 3 RGB 120mm Fans in the front and 2 120 fans on the cooler and 1 to the rear of the case. So there is RGB all over this Challenger. The only place that doesn't have RGB is my Gigabyte 3080ti and my Corsair RAM. This leads me to remind everyone that if you are upgrading to the 12th Gen CPU's you can't use DDR4 RAM you need DDR 5. I had to learn that the hard way and they aren't cheap right now, so to save some money I purchased the Corsair 32GB 5200mhz RAM kit without RGB at around $300. Anything at that size with RGB will cost you an arm and a leg right now.$4,025.93 -

Upon needing a whole new rig I decided to give a shot at building it myself. Disappointed with the mid-range offerings of the Nvidia 4000 series, I decided to go big and get an RTX 4090. From there, I picked a core i9-13900K to match - which introduced the need for an AIO cooling solution. This system was built with practical gaming performance as the top priority, but with the black 5000D Airflow case and a few unavoidable RGB accents I think it looks beautiful as well.$3,727.88 -

An upgrade from my 2010 build, this computer is primarily meant to last another 10 years with Photoshop, web browsing, video-watching, and the occasional video game playing on it. I wanted a solid foundation with the latest Intel processor, DDR5 RAM, SSDs for system and primary storage, and 8TB HDDs in RAID 1 for backup of years of art files and the likes. The GPU is fairly underwhelming, all things considered with this build, but GPU isn't my primary concern and it's also about the easiest thing to swap out when I need to upgrade it. Since I'm not doing water-cooling, I went with a well-ventilated case a Noctua CPU air cooler, and added Noctua's budget fans to the front (using the case's included two fans for a rear and top ventilation.) I also am going with a stealth build... everything is all-black (except the Noctua budget fans... which I may swap or paint later), and I've turned off all lighting (except for the power light.) I do have a slight buzzing from the glass panel of the case that I need to remedy at some point though. I also mis-read the mouse packaging and thought it was a wireless-charging mouse. Instead, it's a standard AA battery. The Keyboard is nice, except that the D key illumination LED is already miscolored days after initial use, and it doesn't keep its key-lighting setting after power-cycles (FN+F12)$3,205.68 -

With inspirations taken from the Corsair Vengeance pre-built PC lineup, I decided to not take any compromises on hardware parts. The games I had in mind when building this PC were Microsoft Flight Simulator and Forza Horizon 5. Both of these games ran flawlessly, easily exceeding over 144 FPS in ultra settings in 1440p. I intend to keep this PC for the long run as I will keep upgrading it throughout it's lifetime. Some parts I do plan on upgrading when I want to switch over to high-end 4K gaming in the future are faster RAM and GPU. The build process was easy and I didn't run into any difficulties as this is my first PC build ever. Overall, this PC has exceeded my expectations when it comes to gaming from FPS, simulations, to racing games.$2,598.88 -

Admittedly, it is a tad bit overkill, but I wanted to give myself some wiggle room for future upgrades. My previous PC build, Perseverance, fit my need and frankly, didn't need an upgrade. However, after a room setup makeover and getting my hands on an Xbox Series X and noticing the console's fans were extremely quiet, I began planning my next PC build with a focus on performance, looks, and silence. Introducing: Proximus! To begin, let's see what he consists of: Proximus is packed with black 120mm and 140mm Noctua fans in the black Corsair 5000D Airflow case, replacing the Cooler Master fans and TD500 Mesh case of the previous build. As is, the case operates nearly as quiet as the Xbox Series X, leaving the GPU the only loudest part of the system (more on that later). At the heart of the system, Proximus is equipped with an Intel Core i7 12700K. He will be the first of my systems to experience Intel's hyperthreading technology. It will be replacing the Core i7 9700K and will be the reason why I will be running Windows 11 Pro. Pairing the CPU will be Gigabyte's Aorus Z690 Elite AX DDR4 motherboard. Strictly speaking, at the time of writing this, DDR5 is still in its infancy. As I already have 64 GB of CL16 Crucial Ballistix RGB RAM running at 3200 MHZ (4x16), I decided that Proximus will still benefit from DDR4's more mature and established technology. When he needs an upgrade in the near future, replacing the motherboard with DDR5 support and using DDR5 RAM will be the first thing I do. For CPU cooling, the Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler is more than enough to tame Intel's Core i7 12700K whilst staying silent and stylish. The 1000 watt EVGA PSU powers Proximus and is chosen with future upgrades in mind. To add more personality, he wears white Cablemod cables with 90 degree fittings to give the overall aesthetic a more minimalistic look. To pair the 12700K, Proximus is equipped with the RTX 3070 Ti Founders Edition to power nearly all of my workloads. When upgrading Perseverance's RTX 2070 Super to the 3070 Ti, the 9700K became a slight bottleneck, hence the need (and desire) to upgrade to Intel 12th gen. I am fortunate enough to have bought this GPU at MSRP (~$599.99) at my local Best Buy. Despite working there for the past 3 months (at the time of writing), employees cannot buy hot commodity items until they are off their shift. During that fateful morning I was called in to do some morning training for 2 hours. I managed to complete most of my tasks ahead of schedule and didn't even realize people were waiting outside for GPUs. I didn't even know that we had GPUs in stock either! It was when one of my coworkers told me that we had exactly 17 GPUs in stock. Since I was almost done with my training and I was about to clock off, the timing couldn't have been more perfect. In the end, I was the last customer that was allowed into the store and snagged the last GPU that was available. Anyway, back to Proximus! Since Noctua doesn't make RGB fans, you would think Proximus wouldn't stand out. Not in this case (pun not intended lol)! Using Phanteks' excellent Halos Lux RGB fan frames and neon smooth lighting RGB strips, he is able to glow and not be too obnoxious thanks to the dark tinted tempered glass. Add in the RGB GPU sag bracket along with SignalRGB, he is able to be configured in cool and creative ways.$2,566.29 -

I will 100% add some RGB lighting on the inside top to illuminate the case better though the tinted glass side panel. It started off as a low end computer because I didn't have much money to be able to afford what I desired. And the only reason I was able to afford those PC parts was because I decided to sell some of my electronics. Those electronics include, a Nintendo Switch with all of its games and a few other things I can't remember. And after I save up enough money and bought all my parts from Amazon, only because I didn't know about Micro Center at that time. I know it sucks, and I feel bad for myself for not knowing about it. And that was the worst time for me to start building a computer since it was 2021, when the prices were too high. So my first parts were a Ryzen 3 3200g CPU, an AsRock B450M Pro4 motherboard, Viper rgb 8 GB 3200 Mhz ram, Crucial P2 500GB ssd, Aresgame 450W power supply, and a cheap MSI case. I didn't buy a GPU until 5 months later when I was able to afford one. That was when I found out about Micro Center, so I bought an AMD Radeon RX 6600 MSI MECH 2X GPU for around $460. From there on I started to slowly upgrade my PC. I changed my ram sticks to Crucial RGB 2x8 16GB 3600Mhz. I bought an AIO from cooler master, which lasted me all those months until just recently I upgraded it because my new CPU needed better cooling. Next I upgraded almost everything with the money I saved up from one of the jobs I worked at. I bought a new case, Motherboard, CPU, and new fans. The case was a Fractal design Meshify C, the Motherboard was an MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus, and the CPU was a Ryzen 5 5600g. I was finally able to play more demanding games, which is good because I love playing Campaign open world games like Far cry and Cyberpunk; and multiplayer games like Call Of Duty. And I was not done, I still wanted better gaming quality and performance. I then decided to go big or go home; Once again I saved up money from work and bought an EVGA RTX 3070 Ti, but I wasn't pleased. So I saved up a little more and bought a EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming 10Gb GPU for the low price of $770 US. And i'm not even joking, that price at Micro Center beat every other retailer, so I was very happy. Also another reason why I was able to afford all the upgrades was because I sold all my old parts to friends or other people, and I would help them put the computer together if they needed it. Then I changed my Ram again to some G.Skill Trident Z Rgb 4x8 32Gb 3200Mhz CL16 because why not. And so this year I made my last PC upgrades until I feel the need to change it up. I received an email from Micro Center of a CPU & Motherboard combo deal for an Intel platform, and I've been wanting to upgrade my CPU so that was my chance to which I took. And that was what caused me to change my AIO to a 360 mm for much better cooling. I also forgot to mention a few other parts I added and changed, which were a new case and more SSD storage. I will have all my recent parts listed, so there is no need for me to list them here. Lastly, the name Rem comes from a female from one of my favorite anime, at first sight she isn't so great but over time she becomes a lovable person just like my PC. And her hair is blue which is my favorite color. Finally, all of this happened because I was bored of playing games on console and I wanted to become better since I wasn't making anymore progress on controller. And I was inspired by Linus Tech Tips to build my own rig. I learned almost everything from his YouTube channel. I want to thank you Micro Center for all the amazing deals and for reading my rant of my long journey that lead me here.$2,276.85 -

My goal in building was to update my primary gaming pc so that it shouldn't need any upgrading over the next five years. I'm happy to say that I think this was accomplished and am curious to see exactly how many years I can get out of the current setup. One thing I probably would have done differently, now that I'm looking back on it, is cpu selection. I chose the 12700k over the 13600k because I, at the time, believed that the i7 cpu would be superior over the i5 cpu since the gap between 12th and 13th gen intel cpu's isn't huge. This was a mistake. I now have learned that the 13600k is in every way superior to the i7 12700k, both in core architecture and in thermal performance. Live and learn.$2,221.90 -

I built this one about a week ago after having one build for 5 years and the only upgrade being the GPU. I realized that the PC was getting old and decided to build a new one! The PC got its name because of the Z690-A Prime motherboard that's inside. All of the parts in it are brand new, except the GPU which is only a RTX 2060, but hope to upgrade to a 3080ti or 3070ti soon. Optimus Prime is pretty much good at everything: Recording, streaming, and gaming. Runs every game like a champion, just would like to upgrade the GPU.$2,179.91 -

I decided after years and years of using a gaming laptop that enough was enough and it was time to do a proper PC upgrade so I could play whatever I wanted while having as many internet browser tabs open without the fans sounding like a rocket at liftoff. Originally had in mind a smaller case and a cheaper build but as the GPU shortage affected what I could get and with the launch of Intel's 12th gen CPUs I decided to spec it higher. I was a bit limited by what I had already bought at that point (primarily the AIO, would get a 360mm if I could go back and redo it). I knew I wanted a white build and since I've been playing Genshin Impact since day one, I decided to theme this build around Celestia / Mondstadt and my favourite characters. The Corsair 5000D Airflow comes with a grey bezel and feet which I removed and spray painted gold.$2,019.90 -
