Built for virtual machines, gaming, video / photo editing, bench marking, and general purpose. This thing is a montster. I built a second tower for twin tower setup out of the previous 2990wx rig , that will be uploaded when I get a chance as well. I shouldn't need to upgrade anything for an extremely long time. When I built this monster it held down the #1 Timespy extreme cpu only record on 3dmark for a month. I was able to get a 4.6ghz all core overclock stable for the 3990x which is insane. I might move for a chiller setup to see how much further I can push the processor, Anything beyond 4.6 even on a custom loop is just not worth the risk. My daily usage is running PBO (no real need to run it OC since PBO does an amazing job). Anyone who needs a lot of cores and computing power, the 3990x is great. I would not recommend dropping that kind of money for a simple gaming machine though. Anyone that is considering going chrome plated copper, Go for it, takes a little more time and planning but the results are amazing.

This rig is used for everything from everyday use to streaming, to PLEX server, to hardcore flight simming. It's my do everything rig and Im proud that everything works with no issues no matter what I through at it. I had multiple machines that I used for various tasks around the house and gaming, but decided to consolidate into single machine which is now what you see here; Vader. Vader is an Intel 10900K 5.4ghz behemoth boasting 64gb of G.Skill Ripjaws overclocked to 4000mhz cl15, an ASUS Strix OC 2080ti with a 1060 daughter card for more displays, 50tb of HDD disk space, 4tb of Samsung Evo powered NVME goodness, and more monitors than most people can handle - 7 (65in Oled, 2 LG 34in, 1 Acer 38in, and 4 ASUS 22in touchscreens). Audio for this machine is power by a Matrix Audio X-Sabre Pro MQA DAC that feeds a Monoprice 887 amp leading to the reference level Sennheiser HD800S with seat attached bass shakers and a Jet Seat for rumble immersion. Input devices are led by an iKBC MF87 keyboard, Corsair m65 mouse, 3 Elgato Stream Decks - Mini, Default, and XL, a Real Simulator joystick, Thrustmaster TPR pedals, Winwing Throttle, 2 DSD button boxes, and a TrackIR This whole machine is a never ending upgrading monster. I always tell my wife that Ill be done after the next upgrade, but low and behold there is always one more over the next horizon.

A perfect example of something going well beyond the original intent. This all started from my corsair 500d case not fitting two 360mm rads, an AIO for the CPU and the rad for my RTX 3090 K|NGP|N hybrid card. I determined I needed a bigger case to fit them both thus came the 1000d. Plenty big enough right? Sure. Actually it was too big because hoses on the AIOs were too SHORT! Then I decided to research and understand what this 1000d case really was. Of course this thing is targeting custom water cooling. A year later we have the bohemoth.

I decided to just go all out and get mostly ASUS ROG products. Little overkill from what I'm told but I'm really happy with it all. The fact that I switched over from Xbox specifically for VR is hilarious. I will never buy another console. I sadly paid a scalper for my Strix 3090 because I did not want to wait for the unseeable future. Very happy to have the help of Greg and David to help build this monster! Definitely going to update all the wires. Sorry to your eyes >.<

I wanted to build try SLI but I my allowance didn't allow me. Fast forward several years, I was able to build it for gaming and video editing. The games I play are Hitman II, GTA V, Genshin Impact, Bloons TD6, TF2 and Maplestory. I am still trying to financially recover from this. I would like to get some large hard drives in the future and perhaps install an HBA to increase the number of drives I can have or possibly a 10 gig card so I can potentially use my PC as a NAS. I am considering getting some RGB strips because you gotta have them. My system is kinda dark since I bought Noctuas over something like LLs from Corsair since cooling is a bigger priority and lighting can be done separately. The biggest mistake was getting cable extensions and not buying sleeved cables. I have a crazy amount of cable length to manage. The ARGB on my cooler master was loose with my motherboard and I cannot control the RGB through software. I really wish it were a better fit so I wouldn't have to pop the side panel off when I want to change colors.

I am a gamer, and I focus on graphics and smooth game play, so the games I play take up a lot of room and computing power. With a game library of over 1,000 games and constantly getting more, I have to keep adding and/or replacing parts to my rig. Anything from older Command and Conquer games, Mass Effect, Starcraft; to new hits like Cyberpunk 2077, Starfield, Destiny 2, Battlefield. With this in mind I am always looking at new gear and reviews (even when not planning an upgrade) so I am able to keep up with new games while making sure I can still play the old favorites. I am looking into the streaming field as well, just not sure how to start getting followers.

I stream Halo infinite, CoD, Apex, OW, FF15/11/7, runescape. All I need now is to get a proper keyboard, and upgrade my monitor to the newer 2160p Neo G9. This is the completed build. Paul & Austin in Deluth help me determine what I needed for what I wanted. Because it was my first custom loop I chose to do soft tubing...It would look better aesthetically had I done hard tubing. I also now regret getting the 4090. It's a monster of itself but it doesn't support DP 2.1 which limits video bandwidth. I did upload this build to PC parts picker to see most of the stuff in this build. https://pcpartpicker.com/b/myxcCJ

This machine is a culmination of several years of saving and several months of hunting parts on every possible retailer. Sitting out in the lines in front of Micro Center on cold January mornings, watching dozens upon dozens of browser tabs from every possible online retailer refreshing across six displays. Finally, it runs. 2019/2020 were some pretty rough years so this is a present to myself. Cable management isn't complete because PCIE riser cable is not PCIE4.0 compatible, and the card has to come out again at some point, the radiator also has to be remounted because supplied screws weren't quite long enough, and there is temporary hardware installed for now. AIO head unit cover is not in place until radiator is remounted (need hose slack to install).Once all cable management is complete and parts are finally in place permanently, all the peel will come off. Practically 100% ASUS ROG build, hence the build name, ROG HARD.. Raid took some effort to get working as the documentation hasn't been updated for 5000 series CPU's. Currently the system is overclocked to 4.6ghz all cores, and GPU boosts to 2025. I built this monster for 3d/2d art, CAD, 3d printing, video editing, streaming, gaming, might try some mining too, just to learn the ropes. I live streamed the build form the living room while I am remodeling the spare room into a stream studio. Once I move it into the the studio I will set up the full triple monitor lay out.

It was there I first noticed the "Extreme gaming Rig" giveaways. Despite my best efforts at winning what I thought was the pinnacle gaming experience. I was never able to win one for myself. Years went by and I started building budget systems. They got the job done but I was always anxious to jump into the next project. One day while I was planning out my next build and I saw this ridiculously over the top PC build on youtube. The type with an absurd amount of fans, RGB lighting, and a PSU large enough to power a small city. It brought me back to the lazy days when I was browsing through gaming magazines, signing up for anything with a free entry. I decided I had waited long enough; rearranged my budget and went to work. If I couldn't win that gaming PC I was going to build it. Chungus Ultra was born. At it's core it's a Gaming PC, but I use it's extra power to stand up VMs, RDP for my Apple stuff, and to send/receive phone calls. (I get Imessages on Windows through bluebubble server/app) and to a lesser extent control my Hue smart lighting. The system initially had an RTX 3080, and I recently upgraded to a 4090 Strix OC. I pulled out the old Corsair lighting and replace it with Lian Li Unifans (Corsair RGB cable management is a NIGHTMARE), and I'm looking to replace my DDR5 memory kit. I will be throwing in a 1200w ATX 3.0 PSU once it arrives (yay cable management!). In one of my pics the fans are reversed. I'm aware, I was testing something and they have been fixed.

Firsts: - Liquid Cooling - Custom PSU Cables - Custom Paint Job I built this machine to handle everything I could throw at it, all the while streaming without a 2 PC setup. This computer dabbles in a little bit of everything in my daily life. FPS, Creative games like Satisfactory, VR, Multi-camera tabletop gaming setups, 3D print design, etc. I'm pretty happy with everything I've put into this to suit my needs, so upgrade are minimal. - Complete cable management on backside, all the necessary extensions are sitting in a box, just need the motivation to re-wire everything - Troubleshoot LED lighting, it's such a pain to get everything dialed in, and the EKWB Hub is a little ball of constant issues - Upgrade NVME storage to take full advance of read/write speeds
