A Teaching Moment

I have an 11-year old in my family who is addicted to game Roblox. Until recently, he always assumed the the monitor itself was "the computer." He was overdue for a teaching moment. So when he expressed a desire to play on a larger screen than his mobile device, I took the opportunity. A lot of basica information was passed on and the 11-year old was actually to do nearly all of the physical assembly with his own hands (under detailed instruction). I only handled the cpu installation because, you know, delicate cpu pins and such. Sadly, the pc is still primarily being used for games like Minecraft and Roblox. But I hope over time he will learn to appreciate what this system can do in the context of new games.
