Iceberg

The story of this build starts with an X601 prebuilt with a 9600K and 1070Ti. I wanted something watercooled, and that was an excellent entry-level water cooled PC. It has morphed and molded to be what it is today - some of the changes include switching to copper parts, upgrading CPU / GPU / RAM, a number of part mods (described below) and even switching to the white PC-011 just because :) The only pieces left from the original prebuilt are the mobo, 970 NVME SSD, the distro block / pump, and a few of the tubes.

I mainly built this PC to use with a Valve Index, but I've thoroughly enjoyed using it for flat games like Control, Tomb Raider, and A Plague Tale. I also like to tell my wife how productive it makes me to have such a fast computer :)

I also love overclocking my components. The CPU can hit 5.2 GHz at 1.34V and is an absolute beast. The 2080 Ti is actually a non-A variant, but I flashed the bios to improve the power limit (from 250W to 310W). This allows the card to run stable at 2070MHz in most games (except anything with ray tracing). Finally, the Dominator RGB ram runs stock at 3200MHz, but I was able to get it comfortably up to 3600MHz.
