New Socket
by gospelman Posted on: 12/23/2022Build Description
The primary motivation for updating this build was to move to Intel's socket 1700. I wanted to get established with a relatively affordable cpu so I chose the 12400. I can upgrade to a 13th gen chip down the road. The 12400 holds its own in gaming though. It hasn't held back performance from my 6700 at all so far.
Favorite Feature
My favorite feature currently is felixiblity. For example, I upgraded to a new cpu and socket but will continue to use my existing ddr4. I was happy that MSI made a ddr4 variant that allows me to do so.
