Description: This article will show how to enable or disable Windows Defender in Windows 10.
- Choose the Start button in the lower left corner, and then select Settings.
- Choose Update & Security.
- Choose Windows Defender located on the left side.
- Under Real-time protection toggle the switch to enable or disable. Changes will be saved automatically.
- If the switch is greyed out and unable to be changed, Windows Defender may already be disabled due to another antivirus program being installed on the computer.
