Description: This technical article will show you how to manually perform a software update in OS X 10.7-10.8.

1. Click on the Apple icon, in the upper left-hand corner.
   
2. Choose Software Update
   
3. This will open up the App Store window and if any updates are available it will give you the option to update now.
   

Note: If there are multiple updates available you will have the choice to Update All or Update (which will update each program individually).
