This is most likely a result of a security feature in ESET Cyber Security called Removable Media Blocking. This feature allows you to disable access to removable media volumes such as USB drives or devices. This setting is disabled by default in ESET, but if it is turned on it can be configured by going to Setup, Computer Protection, Media Blocking, Setup.
