Apple MacBook Air 15-inch (2024)
Apple’s line of MacBook Air laptops continues to provide a lot of power in a small package. The M3 chip offers more power than older Intel MacBook Air laptops and is 1.6 times faster than a MacBook Air with the Apple M1 chip. Despite having a big 15-inch Retina display, at just over 3 lbs., it’s truly ultra-portable and has up to 18 hours of battery life. Customers call it a “Great value.”

Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G6
For well under $800, the 16-inch WUXGA IPS Anti-Glare display has a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, along with an Intel Core i7 13th Gen 1355U 1.2GHz CPU, 16GB DDR5-5200 RAM, and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD. The RAM is also upgradeable with one Micro Center customer reporting that they bumped up the memory to 64GB and another saying “Love the form factor and build quality.”

Dell Latitude 5550
A sturdy laptop that can do double duty as a work or home machine, this 15-inch Latitude from Dell has Intel’s latest AI-capable Core Ultra 7 CPU, plus 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. The built-in NPU (neural processing unit) saves battery life on AI tasks, while there’s also a TPM chip (trusted platform module) for workplaces that require extra security.
