Dell's New Curved Ultrasharp Monitors Can Be Your Office Hub

Dell kicks off CES 2024 with the introduction of two new monitors: the Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Hub Monitor and the Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved Hub Monitor, promising not just high-quality visuals but also prioritizing user comfort and connectivity.
Innovative Design and Eye Comfort
The Dell UltraSharp 40, which I got a chance to see in-person shortly before CES, is a standout with its 40-inch 5K curved IPS display. This monitor, alongside the Dell UltraSharp 34, places a strong emphasis on eye comfort. Dell has worked to reduce eye strain by increasing the refresh rate to 120Hz and integrating an ambient light sensor that adjusts screen brightness and color temperature, as well as reducing blue light exposure.
Both monitors boast impressive color spaces, with the Dell UltraSharp 40 covering 99% of the DCI-P3 / Display P3 color space. That's key for professionals whose work relies on color accuracy. Users can fine-tune the colors with Dell's color management software, ensuring precision in color-critical tasks.
These are both curbed displays, and the larger 40-inch version has a 2500R curve, while the 34-inch version has a 1900R curve. Curbed displays are measured by the radius, or R, of their curves, and a smaller R measurement means a greater curve.

Enhanced Connectivity and Hub Features
Focusing on connectivity, these monitors stand out as more than just displays; they are central hubs for a modern office or work-from-home workspace.
The Dell UltraSharp 40 offers Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, allowing for a single-cable sending up to 140W of power. It also supports high-speed Ethernet connectivity and multiple port options for seamless integration of your devices. The monitor's design includes intuitively placed pop-out front-facing ports under the screen for easy access.
Similarly, the Dell UltraSharp 34 provides a comprehensive range of connectivity options, with Thunderbolt 4, high refresh rates, and color accuracy. Both monitors use post-consumer recycled plastics and recycled aluminum and both meet the EnergyStar and EPEAT Gold standards.
