CES 2025: The Best Creator Tech We Saw
There was ton of new creator tech at CES this year. Here's some of our favorites.News
CES 2025 is always a massive showcase of the latest computer tech, but tucked away in the corners are some incredible tech for content creators. Finding everything cool can be a bit of a challenge, but I’ve pulled together six standouts from CES 2025 that will help any aspiring creator.
Shure MV7i Smart Microphone and Interface
The Shure MV7i Smart Microphone and Interface is a game-changer for creators looking to remove complexity from recording scenarios. This cardioid microphone eliminates the need for a separate audio interface in two-source situations, thanks to its built-in audio interface and an additional XLR-1/4" combo input embedded into the rear of the mic. It can record two channels simultaneously, making it perfect for podcasters who take to the road or want to maintain a simple setup at home.
Modeled after the ridiculously popular Shure SM7B microphone, the MV7i's input provides up to 60dB of gain, ideal for powering the gain-hungry SM7B mic if you happen to have one lying around. It connects to your computer via USB, with headphone monitoring done on the mic itself. This versatile mic is also useful for recording vocals while plugging an instrument into the physical input, offering flexibility and portability for musicians as well. The Shure MV7i is available now.
SanDisk Creator Phone SSD
The SanDisk Creator Phone SSD is a clever portable storage solution designed with on-the-go creators in mind. This innovative device snaps to the back of MagSafe-compatible devices, offering up to 2TB of storage capacity with impressive transfer speeds of 1000MB/s read and 950MB/s write.
When attached to an Apple iPhone, it supports direct recording of 4K 60fps videos in Apple ProRes format, allowing users to edit right away without the need for transcoding. The SSD is also compatible with Android, Windows, and macOS, making it versatile for a wide range of devices. As a bonus, creators will be happy to find an included one-month subscription to the powerful Adobe Creative Cloud service. The SanDisk Creator Phone SSD will be available this Spring.
Govee Gaming Pixel Light

The panel can be programmed to display a variety of unique and colorful pictures, including more than 150 presets, and users can create their own or bring GIFs to life in pixelated glory. AI is also in the mix with Govee's AI Lighting Bot app, which can create unique imagery for the device. The Govee Gaming Pixel Light can sit on a desk or be mounted on the wall, and features a music mode that can sync color and imagery to music and sound. Available in two sizes, it will hit the market in Q2 2025.

For creators on the go, the Anker Power Bank is a must-have accessory. This mammoth power bank boasts a massive 25,000mAh battery capacity and supports up to 165W of output. It features three USB-C ports, one USB-A port, and two retractable USB-C cables for charging multiple devices simultaneously.
The TFT color screen displays real-time power charging stats, including output power, temperature, and expected charging time, with a touch of emoji for good measure. Its TSA approved and incorporates Anker's proprietary ActiveShield 2.0 technology, which monitors battery temperature throughout the day. While it's big and a little heavy, it's sure to eliminate battery anxiety for the creator on the go. The Anker Power Bank is available now.
UnifyDrive UP6
Backup is crucial when dealing with large amounts of audio and video files, especially for one-time shooting opportunities. The UnifyDrive UP6 is a hybrid storage device that acts as a portable high-capacity NAS server, allowing creators to automatically move a copy of their media to their own private cloud.
Offering up to 48TB of storage and transfer speeds of 8000MB/s through its 10GbE Ethernet and dual 40G Thunderbolt ports, the UnifyDrive UP6 is a powerhouse. It features an HDR display for on-device access to media as well as an HDMI output if a larger screen is needed. The UP6 also offers a suite of AI features that drive sophisticated search, facial recognition, and video AI capabilities while keeping all AI processing on-device. With one-click backup, it keeps the process simple – well, as simple as a NAS can be. Availability and pricing for the UnifyDrive UP6 will be revealed later this year.
Honorable Mention: Osmo Pocket 3

While not announced or released at CES 2025, the Osmo Pocket 3 was undeniably ubiquitous among creators roaming the halls. Yes, that includes yours truly. This pocket-sized gimbal camera captures 4K/120fps video and features a small 2-inch full-color touchscreen that rotates between horizontal and vertical 16:9, making it easy to switch between shooting formats.
The Osmo Pocket 3 connects seamlessly with DJI's Mic 2 Bluetooth mics and incorporates advanced tracking features, including a Product Showcase mode that keeps focus locked on the product in your hand rather than your face. Although it was released before this year's CES, its prevalence at the event demonstrated the power of great technology. Being in Vegas this week, it was unmistakably obvious that creators absolutely love this little camera. The Osmo Pocket 3 is available now.
