The AMD RX 9060 XT Build Guide
We put together a killer 1080p PC that won't blowout your budget.PC Build Guides
AMD's new RX 9060 XT, launching May 5, joins the current generation of AMD cards. This one's got its sights set on mainstream performance, specifically focusing on 1080p and even some light 1440p gaming. Available in both 8GB and 16GB VRAM options, this is a GPU that is sure to be high on many new builders’ parts list.

To celebrate the launch of these budget-friendly cards, we put together an all-white build that’ll run about $1,500 -- but will last as a 1080p gaming powerhouse for years to come.
The Build:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D Raphael AM5 4.1GHz 6-Core Boxed Processor
AMD’s lineup of X3D chips are beloved by gamers for their extended L3 cache, usingAMD’s V-Cache technology. That’s a lot of fancy tech jargon if you’re just getting into PC building. you don't necessarily have to know what that all means, but for more info, check out our launch guide for the Micro Center exclusive Ryzen 5 7600X3D. Otherwise, all you need to know is that the extended cache on the 7600X3D directly translates to more frames for better gaming performance.
Motherboard: ASUS B650-A ROG Strix Gaming WiFi AMD AM5 ATX Motherboard
Not only is the ASUS B650-A a great, budget-friendly motherboard, but it’ll look right at home in this all-white setup with a few pops of white accents throughout. And, with both DDR5 and WiFi 6e supported, this is a motherboard that will make the most of both our 7600X3D CPU and RX 9060 XT GPU.
Video Card: XFX AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT SWIFT White Overclocked Triple Fan 16GB GDDR6 PCIe 5.0 Graphics Card
The centerpiece of this build, this 16GB version of the AMD RX 6090 XT from XFX features an absolutely gorgeous white shroud as well as a triple fan design. While this GPU probably won’t push you into the 4K territory, it’s got more than enough oomph under the hood for 1080p for years to come and can even dip into 1440p in a lot of games.
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000 PC5-48000 CL36 Dual Channel Desktop Memory
Today, 32GB of RAM is the new gold standard for gaming, offering enough of a RAM buffer that you shouldn’t see any slowdown caused by bottlenecking. And a speed of 6000MHz, you’ll be getting blazing fast speeds as well.
Storage: WD Black SN850X 1TB 112L BiCS5 TLC NAND Flash PCIe Gen 4 x4 NVMe M.2 Internal SSD
While we might have recommended a traditional HDD for a build like this just a year or two, SSDs are becoming absolute must-haves for gaming, with recent hits like DOOM: The Dark Ages making them a requirement. This 1TB from WD is more than enough to get your OS and several games up and running, though if you need more space there’s plenty of room in the build for future expansions.
PSU: Corsair RM750 750 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply - White
Continuing the white theme of our build, we have the Corsair RM750, a 750-watt power supply that will be more than enough, with a little bit of headroom left for potential upgrades. And, being a modular power supply, you can simply add more cables in as you need them, rather than letting them dangle throughout the case like with traditional, non-modular PSUs.
Case: Lian Li CG237 Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case - White
The Lian Li CG237 is the final piece in this white build, featuring a gorgeous all-white design that we found super easy to build in. It also features a curved glass panel that seamlessly wraps around the case, showing off your new build both from the front and sides.
