Acer's CES 2025 Includes New Predator Helios Laptops and a 5K Monitor
Acer pushes 2025 gaming boundaries with new Predator Helios AI Laptops and 5K MonitorNews
Acer is ready for 2025 with three powerful, cutting-edge gaming laptops in its Predator Helios lineup, plus a brand-new 5K gaming monitor. Each laptop features Intel's Core Ultra processors, which have built-in neural processing unit (NPUs) for improved AI performance. They also each feature Nvidia G-Sync, which improves screen tearing, and Advanced Optimus, which toggles between integrated and dedicated GPUs to balance performance and battery life. Here’s a look at everything these upcoming devices feature.

Helios 16 AI and 18 AI
The Helios 16 AI lineup(arriving in June) features up to Intel’s Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and up to NVIDIA’s RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. It supports up to 64GB of RAM and 4TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage, meaning it can hold a ton of large AAA games. An impressive 16-inch OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate round out the offerings.

Its bigger sibling, the Helios 18 AI (landing in May), is even more impressive, with support up to 192GB of RAM and 6TB of storage. It's difficult to overstate how crazy these laptops specs are, but it goes even further with an 18-inch 4K Mini LED display hitting 1,000 nits of brightness at up to 240Hz refresh rate.
Helios Neo 16S AI and Predator XB323QX Monitor
For gamers who want high-end performance without fully breaking the bank, the Helios Neo 16S AI lineup (available in April) might be the best choice. It still packs a Core Ultra 9 275HX processor but opts for an RTX 5070 Ti. You can equip up to 32 GB of RAM, with a 16-inch OLED (WQXGA) that hits 240Hz and covers 100% DCI-P3. You also get G-SYNC, Advanced Optimus, and a sleeker sub-19.9 mm design that should make it easier to travel with.

Rounding out Acer’s new lineup is the Predator XB323QX gaming monitor, featuring a 31.5-inch 5K IPS panel at 144Hz with a 0.5 ms (GTG) response time. NVIDIA G-Sync help keep the visuals tear-free, while 95% DCI-P3 coverage and true 10-bit color should satisfy both gamers and content creators. It’ll drop in Q3 of 2025, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.
Acer’s leaning hard into AI and high refresh rates this year, and the Helios family is shaping up to offer an array of powerful configurations—from the laptop that maxes out on specs (Helios 18 AI) to one that hits a more accessible price (Neo 16S AI). And for gamers looking to push resolution beyond 4K, the Predator XB323QX might be just what they’ve been waiting for.
