Acer's New Swift Laptops: AI-Enhanced for CES 2024
At CES 2024, Acer expanded its Swift series with new Swift Go AI PCs and an updated Swift X 14, both incorporating new Intel Core Ultra processors and cutting-edge AI capabilities.
Swift Go Laptops: High Performance Meets AI Innovation
The Swift Go series, consisting of the 16-inch Swift Go 16 and the 14-inch Swift Go 14, stands out with its Intel Core Ultra processors and Intel Arc GPUs. These are both Intel Evo certified, and promise up to 12.5 hours of battery life.
As with many new PCs at CES, AI features are central to the Swift Go line, and are built from the ground up to work with Microsoft's Copilot. Copilot, accessible via a dedicated key, enables users to utilize AI for more efficient and effective PC use, especially around work.
The laptops also feature a 1440p QHD webcam with Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) for higher-quality video. Higher-res webcams are becoming standard on more and more systems and are a welcome addition. The addition of Intel Wi-Fi 7 provides faster connection speeds, and is part of the new Intel Core Ultra spec.
The Swift Go laptops are built into a thin-and-light aluminum chassis, capable of opening to a full 180 degrees for collaborative use. The 16-inch Swift Go 16 features a 3.2K OLED display with 3,200x2,000 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate; while the 14-inch model has a 2.8K OLED display with a 2,880x1,800 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
Swift X 14: A Creative Powerhouse
The Swift X 14 is positioned as a creative powerhouse, shipping with Intel Core Ultra H-Series processors and up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. This combination allows for AI-enhanced workflows, essential for high-quality live streaming, video editing, and 3D rendering.
The Swift X 14 features a Calman-verified 2.8K OLED display, paired with a FHD webcam. Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and Wi-Fi 6E.
Pricing and Availability
The Acer Swift Go 16 and Swift Go 14 are coming in March, starting at $799 and $749, respectively. The Acer Swift X 14 will be available in February, starting at $1,399.
