AMD 7600X3D Bundle: The Black Friday Build
Boost your latest PC build with this just-in-time Black Friday bundle.PC Build Guides
Do you have an aspiring PC builder on your holiday wish list, but don’t know where to start? The Micro Center exclusive Ryzen 5 7600X3D CPU is one of the best deals in gaming right now, and we’re making it even better with this 7600X3D Bundle. Not only does the bundle include the excellent 7600X3D, but it also comes with an ASUS TUF B650 Motherboard and 32GB of DDR5 RAM, all for $399.99 -- perfect for anyone looking to get into the world of PC building.
But that’s not all. If you’re looking for a bit more oomph from your build, you can upgrade the motherboard to the ASUS B650-A ROG Strix for only $50 more, getting you improved on-board audio as well as some style points.
If you’re not sure what to choose, read on for a great entry-level build using the upgraded bundle. Or, check out our YouTube channel for a walkthrough build using the base 7600X3D bundle (with some help from an unlikely assistant!)
The Build:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D
The main piece of our X3D bundle, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D is the best way to get into gaming on a custom PC. AMD’s X3D line is known for being the best in the business when it comes to gaming, making use of 3D V-Cache to provide a boost to your gaming performance. The 7600X3D is a budget-friendly way to take advantage of all the boosts afforded by that 3D V-Cache -- even more so when you bundle it with a motherboard and RAM. Speaking of which….
Motherboard: ASUS B650-A ROG Strix Gaming WiFi AMD AM5 ATX Motherboard
We’ll be upgrading the motherboard in the bundle to the ASUS B650-A ROG Strix for two reasons. One: the audio boost can give you a serious leg up in games that rely heavily on sound, like the excellent Hunt: Showdown. Two: it will look absolutely stunning in our case of choice, a white Fractal North. When the build comes together, you’ll have a beautiful all-white build with some black highlights and a soft RGB glow.
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000
The final piece of our bundle: 32GB of DDR5-6000 RAM. A minimum of 32GB is quickly becoming industry standard as games and programs become more RAM-hungry, but thankfully 32GB is still just enough overkill that you shouldn’t need to get additional sticks for at least a few years. But, if you do need more, you’ll be left with two open slots to easily double your RAM capacity.
Video Card: Sapphire Technology AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT PURE Frostpunk 2
When the theme of the build is “budget-friendly gaming” and “white color scheme,” there’s only really one card for the job: the Radeon RX 7700XT PURE Frostpunk 2 from Sapphire Technology. The 7700XT is an upper-mid-range card that will handle 1080p gaming without breaking a sweat and can easily push into 1440p. And, at only $439.99, it's a perfect fit for this build.
Storage: Samsung 980 Pro SSD 2TB M.2
Don’t build a computer without SSD storage. Not only are they must-haves for more and more games, but nobody wants to sit and wait for their computer to boot for five minutes. SSDs make just about everything lightning fast, and 2TB is more than enough to store an OS and your favorite games. If you do need more, HDDs are great budget-friendly backup drives, but keep the important stuff on your SSD.
PSU: Corsair RM750 750 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply - White
Don’t think our white theming won’t also extend to the PSU. Corsair’s RM750 is a gorgeous white, fully-modular power supply. That “fully-modular” is important too, as it will keep your case looking clean; non-modular power supplies have all their cables permanently attached. A modular power supply means you can pick and choose your cables, so you won’t have five Molex cords dangling uselessly at the bottom of your case.
Case: Fractal Design North XL Tempered Tinted Glass eATX Mid-Tower Computer Case - White/Oak
The North XL from Fractal Designs is one of my favorite cases right now. This sleek white case features real oak slats on the front, so the case looks as much like high-design furniture as technology. Rather than standing out like a glowing thumb, it’ll blend into your office, living room, or wherever you put it -- an inconspicuous piece of furniture hiding a powerful computer inside.
