NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Build Guide
We put together a desktop build that’s perfect for mid-to-high-end gaming.PC Build Guides
The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, NVIDIA’s brand-new graphics card, launches February 20th. The 5070 Ti is the latest in the 50 Series lineup and features the mainstays of the series, including Blackwell Architecture, DLSS 4, and, of course, plenty of Cuda Cores.

The Build:
Video Card: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti TUF Gaming Overclocked Triple Fan 16GB GDDR7 PCIe 5.0 Graphics Card
ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti TUF Gaming Overclocked Triple Fan 16GB GDDR7 PCIe 5.0 Graphics CardThe centerpiece of our build, the just-released ASUS GeForce RTX 5070 Ti TUF is a gorgeous, minimalist card that fits perfectly in our stripped down, low-key aesthetic. It’s also a great card for anyone looking to get into 2K gaming. While the 5070 Ti absolutely can handle 4K gaming (especially with the help of DLSS 4), 2K is where it will truly sing with consistently high frame rates, even at higher settings.
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Raphael AM5 4.2GHz 8-Core Boxed Processor
The X3D lineup of processors from AMD are well known for their gaming capabilities and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is no exception. With eight cores, 16 threads, and nearly 100MB of L2 cache, the 7800X3D is the perfect mid-high-end complement to the 5070 Ti, delivering more than enough oomph to support the latest AAA titles with blazing fast frame rates. This is also part of a motherboard/RAM/CPU bundle that’ll help keep costs down on this build
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB CPU Air Cooler
We talk a lot about how good AIO’s have gotten in the past years, but traditional air coolers are undeniably keeping up. The Thermalright Phantom Spirit ARGB adds just a bit of color to our build while keeping our processor nice and cool without any added radiator blocks to take up space. Without the connecting tubes, the whole case feels just a little bit more open.
Motherboard: ASUS B650-A ROG Strix Gaming Motherboard
Part of our bundle, the ASUS B650-A ROG Strix is a fantastic option for any PC builder looking for a motherboard that is going to do work with minimal setup. Quick release M.2 screws, onboard WiFi 6E, and a button release for the GPU slot make this motherboard a breeze to build with, set up, and upgrade.
RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5-6000 PC5-48000 CL36 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit
The last piece of our bundle, 32GB of G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 RAM, is more than enough for most average gamers. With 16GB becoming the bare minimum required, 32GB offers plenty of headroom for more intense tasks like video and audio editing. And if you need more, you can easily add two more sticks of RAM and double your capacity.
Storage: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1TB Samsung V NAND TLC NAND PCIe Gen 4 x4 and PCIe Gen 5 x2 NVMe M.2 Internal SSD
SSD’s are officially a requirement when building a PC. While you could, theoretically, get by with an old-school spinning platter hard drive, using an SSD means that your computer -- and games! -- will boot faster than ever. And, if you are gaming, solid state is becoming mandatory for certain games. And beyond older Sata SSD drives, a 1TB NVMe M.2 from Samsung is easier to install and run faster.
PSU: MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply
You should definitely check your power supply before picking up a new graphics card, as the power requirements for GPUs continue to rise. The MSI MAG AB50GL 850W has more than enough wattage to handle all the power a 5070 Ti/7800X3D build puts out and still leaves a bit of headroom for potential future upgrades.
Case: Phanteks Eclipse G400A Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case - Black
The Phanteks G400A is the first case that I’ve used that includes back channels for motherboards that feature their connectors on the back of the board. This new form factor will let builders skip having to pull the massive 24 pin cables through their case, instead connected directly to the motherboard via back connectors, saving space and making the build easier than ever. Plus, with its single RGB strip at the base of the tempered-glass window, the Phanteks is a great looking case.
