AMD Ryzen 5 5600x CPU- Purchased at Microcenter with a special sale price of $129.99 using their credit card for an additional 5% off. Probably the best price to performance deal I’ve ever seen on a 6 core 12 thread CPU. Asus B550-F - Quality budget B550 board purchased at Microcenter with $20 bundle saving with the CPU and 5% off using their credit card. Has 4 RAM slots and both 5v ARGB and 12V RGB headers. XPG RGB 16gb DDR4 3600mhz - Purchased at Amazon with 3% off using the Amazon credit card. Solid speed for Ryzen 5600x and has RGB! Gigabyte 1tb SSD - Purchased at Amazon as well with 3% off using credit card. Can’t go wrong with any NVME drive honestly. Asus Strix Radeon 570 4gb - Purchased used on eBay. In my opinion, the RX 570 is still the budget king for 1080p gaming. NZXT S340 White - Standard mid-sized ATX case purchased on a long time ago and was used in a previous build, reusing it in this build. This has become my favorite budget case for “clean” builds. For $50 (I originally picked it up years ago) it has tempered glass and looks great. PowerSpec 650w Bronze - Power supply I had from my previous build. It doesn’t have black cables, but since I had sleeved cable extensions it didn’t matter. I assumed a price since I already had it laying around. Gigabyte Aorus ATC800 CPU Cooler - This thing is massive! I really liked the RGB look on this CPU Cooler and filled out the space nicely in this case. Previously had a Corsair H100i which ended up failing, so I wanted to try something different with using a large air CPU cooler. This turned out to be one of my favorite builds so far. I like the theme and it looks super clean!$589.97 -

Got the best APU for AM4 the 5700G with Noctua L9a. Always try to stick with Asus Strix Motherboards so got the best ITX available the Strix X570-I. Paired it up with the HyperX Predator 64GB 3600MHz and Samsung 980 Pro 1TB. I mainly use this as a HTPC connected to my LG OLED and use something called Moonlight/Sunshine to stream my games from my main build. I wanted to make the switch from console so I can play PC only games like Ready or NOT. Being a responsible adult, I had a $500 total budget and I bought the parts at the perfect time and walked out with $3 in my pocket. YUP including taxes I managed this build to be under $500. Gaming with the integrated graphics worked ok with COD: Warzone and Overwatch2 but pretty hard to play with others like Six Days in Fallujah since low settings made somethings hard to see. I managed and even started recording games for my Youtube channel. After a month and few weeks, a friend was selling his RTX 4060 so I picked it up at a steal. This was my first DIY build, and I went for a relatively middle of the road spec that's fairly well rounded and not... This was my first DIY build, and I went for a relatively middle of the road spec that's fairly well rounded and not optimized for any particular thing. CPU, RAM, and mobo were from a Micro Center bundle, while the other components were sourced wherever there were deals to be had. The only thing that is missing is a GPU, although the iGPU inside the 7700X has been sufficient in the meantime. The CPU undervolts easily, which allows it to draw only 65W compared to 144W previously and never getting hotter than 70C while only losing 10% performance. Meanwhile the iGPU overclocks pretty well, and was easily stable with a 500Mhz boost. The RAM ran on EXPO settings without any issues. I had originally planned for a 7900XTX and specced an 850W PSU, but my current plan now is to go with a lower end 7800XT or 4070 which has made the 850W a little overkill. In addition to a GPU, cooling will be upgraded with three more case fans, although for the current heat load the two fans are more than enough. The hard drive cage was removed to increase airflow for the expected 7900XTX, so the build uses SSDs only. Even with the change in plans, I'm not going to put the cage back in because it would involve unplugging and replugging the PSU, which is a bit of a pain to do. The room tends to be pretty dusty, and I have added a secondary filter to the front intake along with the built in filter from the case. One downside with this build is that the mobo's PCIe slot is one down, so it utilizes the second slot. However, the case only has room for four slots total, and therefore it limits the GPU to sub triple slot widths only. Coupled with the relatively short spacing available for length (306mm with front fan, 313mm with slim fan, 331mm without), it makes finding a suitably fitting GPU somewhat difficult with how big they have gotten. The front panel cable is also just long enough, but it's under a bit of tension so another inch would have helped greatly.$762.99 -

I do Blender rendering, Fusion 360, RAW photo editing and some pretty heavy MMORPG gaming on it as it has seen countless hours of Black Desert Online, Final Fantasy XIV, Planetside 2, World of Warships, World of Tanks, and Star Citizen when I could run it. I started out as an old cramped but stylish NZXT case with an i5-6600k cooled and OC'd on an original Hyper 212 EVO, 8g of RAM, and a Zotac AMP! 980ti and has evolved into a Corsair 5000D which just got the 5000D airflow panels in needed to cool an i7-11700k with a Lian Li Galahad 240mm AIO, 16g of RAM, and that same tireless 980ti which has been with me through thick and thin. After some more fans I plan to go with my first ever hardline loop at some point perhaps even a dual loop if I ever manage to get a 30 series GPU in this decade (maybe when my medical bills are paid off) The old parts are going to my roommate this Christmas who has been dutifully been playing on a barely working Asus laptop for several years and I knew he will get several good hours out of that computer especially that i5 6600k which was an absolute top of a processor. (pardon some of the shots, they were taken with my phone and I need to clean the glass on the side of the case proper, the closeups were taken with a Sony A7II with a 90mm Macro$780.97 -

I was able to buy the ASUS X299-E GAMING Motherboard for $70 locally a few months ago. Since then, it's been chilling in my basement collecting dust. I've wanted to build around it for awhile, but just got the chance when I saw a Core i9 7900x for $155 online. Once I secured those deals, the rest was the best parts I could find for the price. This PC was built to sell (which is why I bought the i9 - good selling feature) because I already have a decent ITX daily driver. Because of the 10 core CPU and 32gb of ram, most professional workstation tasks should work fine on this system. I have no idea what the future buyer will use it for, but judging it based on my previous sales, gaming is the most popular in my local area. The processor is i9 7900x, microcenter didn't have it available at the time. I put the 11900k as a placeholder. Also the GPU is a Gigabyte 1070ti 8gb Gaming OC that I bought a few years back.$792.00 -

I purpose built this PC for my two kids so that they could each have a computer/work station to do general homework and classes on zoom. The PC needed to be small, low key yet look good and clean, and fit into the bookshelf between their desk. I thought it would be a nice touch for the PC to be able to play games on the TV so I installed NES, Super NES, and N64 emulators on it with several games for each emulation. Everything is directly wired up to the PC including the TV. Because of their ages, I didn't want any wires to be seen since the room is also their play area. In the near future, I will put a multiseat software on the PC to complete the build out.$799.61 -

PURPOSE >> This computer was built for mainly general purpose use (i.e., emails, online meetings, presentations,... PURPOSE >> This computer was built for mainly general purpose use (i.e., emails, online meetings, presentations, Youtube, etc.) along with amateur graphic design + 3D modeling (i.e., Photoshop and eventually Blender with future plans to use with 3D printer) and light 1440p gaming (looking to get into Diablo 4 given Diablo2 nostalgia, NFS Unbound, maybe Starfield since it was included with CPU purchase, LoL, etc.) FORM & FUNCTION >> Foundational image of the build I had in mind was the mATX platform, making sure I wanted to avoid a full-tower and full-sized ATX motherboard (what was used in my last PC built back in 2007). I purchased the Antec NX200M case purely due to its design. From there, given the timely release of the most recent Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, I went with the energy-efficient yet still powerful Ryzen 7 7700 and associated ASRock B650M motherboard (which is mainly black with white accents). Given the relatively lower TDP, I went with a smaller dual-tower CPU cooler and purchased in white to accompany the motherboard accents and provide some contrast to the black internals of the case. From there, I made plans to eventually purchase a 7800XT GPU when released, and identified the ASRock Challenger as a perfect design fit for my system (to be purchased in the near future). An adequate PSU was purchased to accompany the 7800XT and overall power needs. RAM and storage were purchased with best affordable function in mind. After some consideration, I then built my own front cover to replace the Antec OEM plastic facade. Design mimics the Fractal North but utilizes my own desired wood stain/tone. TIMELINE//FUTURE PLANS >> Parts for this build were purchased over a period of 6-8 months, and this setup is still a work in progress, with future plans to purchase an AMD Radeon 7800XT and an extra 2TB NVME SSD.
