I decided that I did not want to spend money on a pc so I went to facebook marketplace and Letgo where over the course of the last few months I was able to get free pc parts from various different sellers. So the following pictures and parts are the culmination of my work of collecting free PC parts that I will eventually turn into my own server. The CPU and motherboard are from an old Lenovo Erazer prebuilt PC. I plan to add more hard drives so that it can function as a true server.$0.00 -

I got this HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop a year ago, well I know OEM rebuilt is very bad but because I need a computer with good specs that can run AAA games but there was no option than buying a rebuilt that time because GPU price was sky rocket high. The build has a 1660 Super with Ryzen 5 4600G (Ryzen 5 3600), it decent for 1080p gaming with medium-high settings. After a year, the computer works fine and really well, all I need is better power supply because it only 400w and new ram (it having 2x4gb 3200mhz ddr4) because recommended ram nowadays is 16gb, and I can see it myself that sometime I get some lag spikes. But this prebuilt HP is not easy to upgrade since the motherboard and power supply are OEMs, it has different design from normal custom build, so I have to get rid of the case, motherboard, power supply and get a new one and put the gpu, cpu, ram and storage in the build. I also have 512gb + 256gb ssd so I don't really need a storage upgrade.$306.95 -

I built this computer mainly to play games with my friends, as my old Dell Vostro couldn't hold up anymore, even to basic tasks. I mainly play Minecraft, Roblox, and occasionally Apex Legends. Now thinking about it, I definitely would have gotten a better graphics card, as I got it right before the prices spiked up and could have gotten a better deal. I also would have gotten a graphics card without a blower style fan, as my graphics card runs LOUD.$346.96 -

They've recently gotten really interested in playing simulation games like Rollercoaster Tycoon and Cooking Simulator. They contacted me recently and were distraught that these two games they recently purchased do not run well on the laptop they've been using. As a result, we decided to do a cheap pc build was thrown together for the purposes of their light gaming.$444.94 -

Budget AMD gaming build (using one of the best iGPUs around), under $500 (that has room for upgrading, such a faster CPU, more RAM, a dedicated graphics card). Made this build for a friend in order for him to play fighting games with discord open at a tight budget. Had to work around the budget but honestly came out better than expected. It was able to run warzone which was the most surprising part of the build. I eventually upgraded the gpu to a 1650 super but I like the original build as it was a decently powerful build for a cheap price.$457.92 -

It all started out with a smol dual-core Pentium, 4GB of ram, and a Strix 1050 Ti. Over the years, I have been slowly upgrading the components like the CPU, motherboard, ram, storage, and swapped out the first GPU for my brother's old 1060. I mainly use my computer for games such as Valorant, Overwatch, and RS2: Vietnam. Currently, I am looking forward to get some major upgrades for my PC over the holidays. I've been eyeing the RX 6700 XT to eventually do some 1440p gaming and swapping out my case and old PSU. I may also get a small CPU upgrade if that R5 3600 bundle is still available.$469.97 -

Found someone local selling computer components for $250 for CPU+MB+RAM+CPUCooler+GPU and ended up picking up a Cooler Master TD500 Mesh and the power supply seperately in order to get everything together. This will be setup for someone who has been looking to start using a computer and of course having the GPU will be able to play some games that is age appropriate for them. Their parents were looking to buy a cheap computer and this build came out to be a lot less than their set budget (was 700).$480.00 -
