First Home PC build for under $400
by Bobby B Posted on: 4/14/2020Build Description
Just trying to build something semi-decent for around $400 to use for basic household browsing and light gaming. Just a filler system until a graphics card can be added or to build something better. Suggestions are kindly welcomed

I feel like this is the best budget CPU currently

ASUS Motherboard B450M-PLUS TUF Gaming AMD AM4 mATX Motherboard

Upgraded the board a bit from the lower B450's. This one seems pretty nice.

Starting with 2x16 ram, decent speeds to overclock later and can add 2 more down the line to match for not much.

Cooler Master Case MasterBox Q300L mATX Mini Tower Computer Case - Black

$49.99
Just cheap and decent looking. My favorite option.

Thermaltake Power Supply Smart Series 500 Watt 80 Plus ATX Non-Modular Power Supply

Cheap 500W power supply. Not running a GPU so 500 should be overkill and maybe even fine with a card later..
