Wanted to build a cheap gaming pc as I'm somewhat of a lighter gamer and don't need a ton of computing power. Decided on something with the 12100f, so here it is. Found a 1660 super for a decent price used, the case was on sale, and I had this PSU already from an earlier sale.$486.44 -

I built this as a new personal PC build since I sold my old personal build recently. I use it to play games like Minecraft, Genshin, League, Valorant, etc., and use it for CAD projects. If I were to do things differently I would've gotten the white version of the graphics card but nonetheless the PC has satisfied my expectations. I also only paid around $500 for the system which satisfies my budget expectations.$514.99 -

I'm still rocking my pretty MSI GTX 1060 on account of it never breaking a sweat being bottlenecked by my CPU so I'm excited to finally see what it can do on the modern more CPU intensive games! I'd totally recommend the items I purchased.$537.32 -

My daughter wanted a better computer and since she helps me upgrade mine from time to time she wanted to build her own. We told her if she could keep it around 500.00 budget we'd help her, so we scoured forums and youtube videos for less expensive builds. We found Toasty Bros there, and they in turn directed us to microcenter where we found a very nice cpu/motherboard/ram combo. with the combo and new case we came in around $570. She got her wish and I got a great father-daughter moment to cherish the rest of my life. :D$574.95 -

This build was 100% motivated by a random impulse purchase at my local Microcenter. I noticed that the newest gen from Intel (13th gen) now had an i3 quad core (4 cores, 8 threads) available and the price at Microcenter was only $99. I decided to grab it and see how much it would bottleneck an older RX 5600 XT that I had going unused. Turns out, the answer is "not at all!"$593.93 -

When I saw that the new Intel i3 13100 was available at mircocenter, I couldn't help but to upgrade. Right now I'm using this machine for everything BUT gaming. The reason for this is that I plan to acquire a 3060 Ti graphics card in the coming weeks to fully round out the new build. But for now, I'm up and running without it. One thing that turned out not so great was the color scheme I was going for. I noticed that all-white components tend to cost more for some reason, so I talked myself into buying some parts that looked mostly gray online. This was a mistake, because inside a white case, all the gray parts all pretty much look completely black.$680.94 -

He had never built a PC before, and his $400 laptop bought for schoolwork would not cut it. He gave me a budget of $700 and already had a monitor and accessories. Now, I could have just bought the parts himself but I instead decided to indoctrinate him into the world of PC building! I took him to the micro center, helped him find the parts, and taught him what everything did. When it came to building the PC he did everything himself with my guidance, and in the end he had a great PC he was satisfied with. Now we play Helldivers and Deep rock together along with other friends. This PC would not be possible without Microcenter's CPU bundles. I have not found parts with similar specs for a better price.$694.94 -

The i5 beats the previous-gen Core i9 part in gaming for cheap, so great value there. And the RX 6600 is the absolute best value midrange GPU of this generation, maybe ever, if you get it at the right price: I got this MSI model for $260, which is honestly amazing for this level of performance.$747.94
