13th Gen Upgrade

by Joe Posted on: 5/18/2023

Build Description

When I saw that the new Intel i3 13100 was available at mircocenter, I couldn't help but to upgrade. Right now I'm using this machine for everything BUT gaming. The reason for this is that I plan to acquire a 3060 Ti graphics card in the coming weeks to fully round out the new build. But for now, I'm up and running without it. One thing that turned out not so great was the color scheme I was going for. I noticed that all-white components tend to cost more for some reason, so I talked myself into buying some parts that looked mostly gray online. This was a mistake, because inside a white case, all the gray parts all pretty much look completely black.

Favorite Feature

Right now I'm really appreciating two specific things about my new 13th gen cpu. First, I didn't even need to buy a separate cooler because there was one included in the retail box. Second, this processor has onboard graphics capability, something I didn't have during 12th gen when I had a a cpu model that ended in -F.
