I had it for about 4 years, and did the best I could to upgrade it. After years of suffering through ungodly slow daily use, I finally became old enough to get a job. I worked all summer long and saved enough money that I could buy the computer and only spend half of the money I had saved. I decided that I would go all out, in the hopes that this build would last me a long time. I went with, at the time, all the latest and greatest parts that I could buy, without spending so much that I am approaching the point of diminishing returns. And so the Space Heater was born, it keeps me warm during winters and makes me sweat during the summer. Gaming aside, the quality of life of being able to restart your computer in under a minute, not have to wait for 45 minutes to render a single frame in blender, and to just play any game I want without having to think about whether or not I can run it has been absolutely life changing.$1,730.94 -

Built it specifically for 1440p gaming, running virtual machines, general office work and web browsing. The most demanding games I've thrown at it so far are Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 both of which ran amazing at Ultra Settings. The 32GB of ram is used occasionally to run Cisco lab simulators in VMWare. The remainder of the time it's mostly used for web browsing and to play League of Legends. I should have gotten a faster SSD in the beginning and also more of it. Will have to add another 1TB in the near future. Love the case and RGB but Corsair software can be annoying at times. Strimer cables would have made it a bit neater, but I feel that pulling the GPU cables over the top helps a lot already. Built at the height of the GPU shortage. Cost me an arm and a leg but I regret nothing. Would gladly do it all over again.$3,020.00 -

I originally built my first pc for gaming but I did not treat it right I ignored driver updates and refused to clean it I was in the mentality that if it still turned on it was fine and I would check my temps with my hand ✋️ and had no idea what "fan orientation" was . The good old days . Then it overheated for reasons unknown to me. My pc had died from heatstroke. Yet I turned to salvation (pc reddit forums pcmr) and learned the error of my ways. To me my second build way about trying and learning. Alot of learning. Now I mess with cpu and gpu overclocks (attempting ram) not cause I need to but it's become just as fun as gaming.$2,046.92 -

I used to be a big gamer back in the 90's when Counterstrike, Quake III Arena and lan parties were a thing. I used to work for the old Comp USA in FL in the upgrades dept. and I was a big NFS fan also back in the days. As I got older I faded away from PC's and technology. A few years back I ended getting my dream PC (Alienware Area-51 R5) and after a few years I ended getting a MSI 6900XT gaming Z trio and my R5 was having some issues with it and Alienware was not doing anymore bios updates for the Area-51. I was frustrated as I spent so much money on this video card and was not able really see what its full potential was. Little by little I had build my dream gaming room setup and I was lacking a PC to showcase. I started to reaserch PC components and also started watching youtube videos on CPU's, GPU's, benchmarks, memory, motherboards and started to get back into things and catch up with PC technology. I said to myself " I used to build PC's back in the days and I used to help people build PC's" . I took my time and decided I wanted something different so I decided to build a AMD system as I already had the 6900XT video card and I based my build around that. One day I went to Microcenter and met Andy Robertson and I told him what I was planninng and what I had in mind and after almost 2 hours of asking questions and showing me the differences and educating me he gave me his insights on some components and helped me pick up everything down to the case and I could not be happier. I recycled some componets I had aready bought to upgrade my Alienware Area-51 R5 and combined everything with the new build. A few more trips to Microcenter and the amazing help that Andy provided and also the patience he had with me while I was showing him pictures of my gaming room and what I had already had setup he gave me more suggestions and the build was finally complete. I cannot thank Andy enough for his patiance and time and for helping me build such an amazing PC.$3,170.87 -

Playing Cyberpunk, Dirt Rally 2.0, Assetto Corsa. Occasionally used for admin. GFX card was just too tall so used a piece of acrylic as a spacer and added a addressable LED for some color. Originally upgraded with the goal of being able to edit photos and video quicker with less stuttering - heavily edited automotive photography and videography, as a hobby for now and professionally very soon. I would like to upgrade the GPU to something a bit more powerful in the future like an RTX 3080 to keep up with the CPU. Finally decided to make myself a high end gaming machine after spending most of my life with mid/low tier machines that would upgraded over time. Figured since I would be building a better machine why not customize it a bit while I am it. Yea I know, 011d but its just a nice looking and functioning case. As for what games I play? Just about everything but these days I have been on a bit of a survival kick. Me and a friend just beat co-op Green Hell. Great little game. As for future plans, really don't think I have much really, although I saw an amazing infinity mirror mod a few weeks ago that I really want to build but other than that maybe an in case display of some kind but I think I its pretty much done for a few years, it does what I want and with the new tech coming in the next few years it's probably better to wait anyway. Who knows, maybe by the time I need a new GPU the world will have gone back to normal and I can just drive up to MC and get me one without having to get up at 4am and camp outside when its 28 (&*(#$@ degrees out. Comments and suggestions welcome.$3,443.86 -
