Gaming rig that I've recently put some finishing touches on. Before November of 2019 I had an i5-650, 1060 3gb, an ancient... Gaming rig that I've recently put some finishing touches on. Before November of 2019 I had an i5-650, 1060 3gb, an ancient motherboard and ram sticks, and a pretty old HDD (which is still being used in my current build). However in November-December 2019 I spent a decent amount of money to upgrade to a Lian Li Lancool II case, and majority of what is in my current build (except for the 3060 ti and Arctic Freezer II, I was still using my 1060 and the wraith prism cooler that came with the 3900x). Only then in October 2021, amidst the GPU Crisis, I was able to buy a 3060 ti from microcenter for a pretty penny, but a better deal than most other places. Then this past summer I was able to finally tweak everything to my preference, buying the 5000D airflow, Arctic Freezer II, and a decent amount of case fans, and some extra storage. I scrapped majority of RGB since It's gotten a little old but the black-grey color scheme looks awesome. The only thing i regret from my first purchase in 2019 was that I didn't really plan it out to well, like a case with not so great but okay airflow and a mismatched color scheme and few components with RGB. I play a variety of games like Black ops 3 zombies, GTA V, Valorant, Terraria, Apex Legends, No Man's Sky, Assetto Corsa, and many other single player and multiplayer games. It sure took some time, but I really enjoy bulding PCs and wanna build a lot more in the future.$2,131.94 -

I don't play around with PCs taking up valuable desk space, or risk water damage by keeping a PC on the floor; everything goes into a rack. This rack contains most of my servers, which I use for working on personal projects, experimenting, learning, and flaunting, and the PC is most likely the quietest system I've got in there! This PC was initially made from dumpster parts, i.e. components I found by gutting and salvaging computers found in dumpsters, or systems that were otherwise condemned and forlorn. The absolute BEST that I got from all of that searching and hunting was a Z77 motherboard and i7-3770. Oh, and a GTX 680 that I absolutely wore into the ground. A little while ago, I had adequate budget, so I set off on a PC build that Microcenter helped me throw together: CASE: iStarUSA D-400 -4U CPU: Intel i7-12700K Motherboard: MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk DDR4 WiFi Power Supply: Corsair RM850X AiO Cooler: BeQuiet! Pure Loop 280mm DDR4 Modules: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2x16GB kit @3200 MT/s SSD: Samsung 1TB 980 Pro AND Crucial MX500 2.5in SATA SSD GPU: ASUS Dual OC 8GB GDDR6 RTX 3060ti Case Fans: 2x 120mm Foxconn 12V, 0.9A Fans AND 2x Noctua Redux 80mm fans. I got my CPU, Motherboard, and Power Supply from MicroCenter (thanks). I use the PC for some light gaming and video editing for my YouTube channel, Thomas Computes. As far as Gaming is concerned, I suck. I lasted a whole 3 hours in Valorant, and never played again. Minecraft is cool, but boy is it time-consuming. However, I've been playing Team Fortress 2 since I was 12, so it's fun to jump in once in a while. Since I know the game so well, it's not hard to get back up to speed quickly! #SaveTF2 by the way. As far as the machine is concerned, it's wonderful. It's sleek and quiet, and can perform when I need it to. Rendering used to take 4-5 hours, but now a 15-minute 4K video exports in a few minutes. That 12700K is menacingly powerful! I'm constantly starting new and exciting projects in the realm of hardware and software (and where they intersect), so join me for the ride! I built this rig for the purpose of gaming and sometimes streaming on twitch. I came from console gaming so I knew I wanted... Overall I'm extremely happy with my build, and my entire set up. I have a MSI 3060ti but i originally wanted a 3070 or 3080, but shortages have made it hard. I'm not complaining at all about my GPU i have now, just cant wait till inventory comes more readily available. My 360mm AIO h150i from corsair keeps my 3900xt at temps around 70c overclocked. Looking to upgrade my ram sometime soon to match the theme. Crucial makes amazing RAM, but the RGB software is a nightmare. Hope everyone enjoys the build as much as I do. This was the first PC I ever built back in July of 2020. I use this PC for gaming, streaming, photoshop, and premiere pro in... This was the first PC I ever built back in July of 2020. I use this PC for gaming, streaming, photoshop, and premiere pro in hopes to actually try to make some money off streaming (My Twitch is PiddleTV). First, let's start off with the gem of the build... My Ryzen 9 3900X. This CPU, although loves to suck power, is a BEAST! Multitasks effortlessly, runs decently cool considering its power draw, and rarely ULTRA FAST. I have it overclocked to 4.4GHz on all 12 cores and could go higher if necessary. Next, perhaps the most underrated part of my build is my motherboard. From ASRock, the B550M Steel Legend is a Budget Badass! Easy overclocking, 2 M.2's, plenty of SATA ports, and great RGB lighting on the board too. This MoBo is by far one of my favorite pieces of my entire build, does everything right and looks beautiful at a discounted rate. Lastly, I originally had bought a Radeon 5700XT from Gigabyte (I do not recommend it), but it artifacted countless times, even after RMA'ing it (Gigabytes support is also very bad I have learned). So after 5ish months, I decided I needed a new one and fortunately, I was able to snag this 3060ti on launch day. Works like a charm... Isn't the fastest in terms of clock speeds, but who cares... the thing tanks all games 4k Ultra @ 90+fps (one monitor active), and when streaming, it runs all games 1080p High @ 144fps (streaming and two active monitors). Presenting what the name of the build is all about... My "Corsair Theme", my build features 32 GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB 3600 MHz RAM. The only issue I have run into with these sticks is that the RGB sometimes does not want to cooperate with Corsair's iCUE software... Don't know why, just is what it is. Besides that, these sticks are fast and reliable, hardware-wise, never a doubt, never an issue. STILL staying on the Corsair Theme, my CPU cooler is the ever-so-popular, H100i RGB Platinum AiO. It's sleek, it's elegant, it's effective, it's everything. Plus I got it at a discount :) Almost done with Corsair... I promise. To power all of this, I am featuring the Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold PSU. (please comment if you guys feel like this is not enough power). As far as I am concerned, it gets the job done. Super reliable, powerful, and quiet. The last and most apparent Corsair feature of my build is the case. The Corsair Crystal 280X RGB is a popular and beautiful case. When first planning out my PC, I wanted something that was small, beautiful, and easy to build in, and this case hit every wish I could've asked for. There really isn't much else to say about this case, I just let the looks speak for themself. Onto some of the other components of my build: CableMod Custom White and Black Sleeved Cables (Absolutely beautiful) 1TB SSD WD Blue (Durable, quick, cheap) 1TB M.2 NVMe Samsung 970 EVO (lightning-quick) 500GB M.2 NVMe Samsung 970 EVO (see above) Corsair iCUE Commander Pro (Convenient for all my RGB Components) 2 Corsair SP120mm RGB White Fans (Quiet, gentle, stunning) AND LAST, but not least. My Elgato 4k60 Capture Card w/ Playstation 5. These two things were the latest additions to my collection. I waited so long to get my hands on the PS5, I couldn't believe it when I finally snagged one. Runs effortlessly and quietly (a huge contrast to its predecessor, the JetEngine4. Once again... Not much to comment on, I let the hardware do the talking. That finished my PC (and PS5), my build also features: Samsung C27HG70 27" 4k 144Hz Curved Monitor Samsung C24F390 24" 1080p 60Hz Curved Monitor Fifine USB Streaming Microphone Logitech StreamCam Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Cherry MX Speed Silver Corsair DARK CORE RGB PRO SE Wireless Mouse Pecham Desk Mat For being my first build, I definitely made some mistakes along the way... Something I am going to change for my next build, whenever that is, is probably not go with Corsair... I love the company, I own a TON of Corsair products; however, iCUE just isn't cutting it for me, wayyyyyy to many issues and bugs with its software... I have troubleshooted everything, no solutions. I am also considering a new backplate for the 3060ti, so HMU if you all have any suggestions. All-in-all, I loved building it and putting it together, it brought me so much joy in the middle of an event where joy was not easily found. I am so glad I am able to be apart of this community and love for y'all to give me some feedback on my build so I can continue to improve this beaut. This build is designed for high-performance gaming in 2560x1440p, which calls for a 3060 Ti. Higher resolutions are supported as well, but not at peak performance (that would call for a 3080). 4k gaming is typically not feasible except with the RTX 4000 series, which is thousands of dollars more expensive and in my opinion not necessarily worth the price. 2k is the most delicious price point. The powerful i7-12700K picks up the slack for CPU-intensive games that don't use GPU, as well as editing programs and any other applications. This processor does not come with a stock cooler so the best choice is DeepCool AK620 which has significantly more cooling power than the industry standard Hyper 212 Black Edition. For the same price, it gives you 2 more heatpipes and 1 more fan. This means an ultra long lifespan for your CPU and major overclocking performance. The motherboard is durable and has quality heatsinks. ATX gives you plenty of space for the oversized cooler and GPU. The power supply is way more than you need. This build consumes like 450-500W, so 850W is overkill, but get no less than 600W. PSU's operate at peak efficiency (97%) around 50% of their total load, which doesn't really matter because it's still 95% efficient from like 30-100% of load range. Check Wikipedia. RAM is generic. Pick anything. Don't go DDR5, it's buggy, untested, and the reviews are atrocious. Buggy RAM will ruin your life because it's so hard to diagnose. SSD gives super fast boot times. Mine is like 30 seconds. May your framerates be high and your latency low. Good luck boys.$1,817.92 -
