I built this to replace a 10+ year old gaming PC that was starting to show it's age. I mostly play older games like Unreal Tournament 2004, COD, etc., and wanted something reliable that would run smoothly on my 2K monitors. I also wanted to go RGB for the "coolness" factor (don't judge me) and provide some ambient lighting in the room while playing. In addition to the components listed below, I went with Corsair iCUE LINK QX120 RGB fans and a Corsair iCUE Link RGB LCD AIO because I liked the LCD screen showing system temps or pictures. I also purchased a custom 12VHPR cable with a right angle connection for the GPU and also plugs directly into the PSU (not an extender). The length on it is perfect so there are no sharp bends which is highly recommended with these HPR cables. These extra components added about $550 to the cost, so the total cost for the system was about $2,500.$1,938.94 -

After we changed out a lot of different furniture pieces, we needed to move to a build footprint that was rougly half the size of the old atx mid tower case. Thankfully this wasn't much of a problem since the previous build was 80% empty space. This is not a gaming pc and performance needs are very casual for the use of occasional guests we have stay in our home. The focus was condesing the overall size to fit on a small desk. Many pieces of the previous build we re-used. The previous atx sized motherboard was replaced with a motherboard of mini itx size.$418.93 -

With 4k not being too relevant just yet, this was an affordable option without giving up too much performance, but still look good and perform well! At only 13 liters volume, the Jonsbo N1 case is a solid 2.5 mm aluminum alloy shell on top a 1.0 mm thick steel frameset with 2.0 mm structual beams. The heafty 8.36 LB metal data vault fits a Mini-ITX board, an SFX PSU, and five 3.5-in. SATA/SAS hard drives. Easy 100+ TB NAS and/or Proxmox VE in a compact 8.5-in. x 6.5-in. vertical footprint. My home office now runs on this one combined Proxmox NAS. It sports a Ryzen 5700G processor and a 4-drive ZFS RAID-Z1 array. Enough compute to provide basic services to a small network. The N1 with just one fan gets warm, so I'd recommend remove or change out the front panel for better airflow. In the future, I may populate its one PCIe expansion slot with a PCIe to 4x M.2 card, then add on a M.2 to 5-SATA card to use all five drive bays, add an M.2 2.5GbE card, (or 10GbE), and add extra M.2 NVMe drives.$1,144.98 -

Case was great to build in and had no issues with MC or any of their parts. Good prices for the parts imo but the cooler was a bit pricey. Great MB with onboard WiFi for the B550 chipset. This is my sff PC that I built for general work but is capable of PC gaming! I wanted to go with a sff PC since space is limited and I liked the idea of having something compact but powerful. When I was first thinking of building a pc, I only had a budget of $1200 . I love to Stream on Twitch and play intense FPS games like Warzone ,any call of duty game , Fortnite, etc. I thought I would've had to spend $1400+ for the parts I have, but Microcenter really hooked it up with the CPU bundle deal ! This Pc can run any game u want in max frames and resolution. I also wanted the color theme to be as much white as possible because I just think white looks really clean and it stands out more. The graphics card is really good for its price , I just wish it had more then 8gbs of ram. Its not a problem at all with the games I run, but the more GB's of ram u have the better obviously. I also want to upgrade to 32 GB's of ram instead of 16 in the future. My case I chose is really cheap but I love it a lot. Very easy installation and I like the stock rgb fans it comes with and the usb-c port on top is useful . The only downside of this case is that you wont be able to add any fans on the bottom. This Pc was worth every penny !$1,228.99 -

I originally built this comuter to play more casual games like Sims 4, Minecraft with RTX, Stardew Valley, and other emulation. Later when I entered my tech school, I began to use it to learn AutoCad, Blender, Revit, and 3dsmax. None of which I am good at yet lol. Starting last month I got a Quest 2 headset so I could play PCVR games using a link cable like Job Sim, Blade & Sorcery, Vivecraft, and Beat Saber. I use it for 3D printing and Silhouette Studio for crafting and stuff. I wish I didn't cheap out on my motherboard and storage because 1.5 TB isn't really enough anymore and my RAM is only running at 3333 Mhz instead of 3600. There also isn't very many USB ports and RGB headers for everything I would like to connect. Soon I am going to be doing a Snowblind mod whenever the monitor I ordered comes in the mail.$1,329.92 -

I built it in order to break into PC gaming a year or two ago and I've been very happy with it. I feel as though I could've made better choices back then and possibly have gotten a better build out of it but what can you do. I enjoy the occasional triple A and although I can't run them at 4K 120FPS I'm happy with just laying back and locking my frames to 60 to forget about it. The one area where I feel like it leaves much to be desired is in emulation as it really demand a lot from your CPU. Overall decent build could've made better choices but for what it's worth it's served me well.$1,080.90 -

This is a high end 4090 gaming build that is technically a "Budget 4090 Build" where I use some open box items and used components to save money. I am upgrading from a PC that is 9 years old and wanted to build a new one that will last me another 9 years. This is a gaming rig that can handle almost anything even though I mostly use it for productivity. Still in the process, but I will get back into streaming content online soon playing random games and drawing while hoping to do some game production. My goal is to fully utilize this PC with my 4K monitors. Besides that, it looks cool to look at! What a wonderful journey and it all started from buying the Microcenter Bundle!$4,090.69 -

I wanted to use minimal RGB, so the parts wouldn’t be extremely saturated with RGB, and so I could play more comfortably at night. I chose these parts with a $1300 budget in mind. There were definitely things I believe I could’ve done to improve the build, such as a PSU without daisy-chained PCIE connectors, but it’s the price you pay for a quality unit, I suppose.$1,213.11 -

Things have changed a lot over the years. I made some small changes with a case swap, new cooler, and storage back in 2021. Now it's been completely refreshed with a new platform and GPU. It's basically a new build at this point and I'm so glad with how it turned out. Also I 100% needed a GPU sag bracket, this card is HUGE. I mainly use this build for gaming and talking to friends. I recently just finished playing Nier Replicant and Nier Automata. Those were extremely fun! I also upgraded to a 1440p monitor which has been a crazy change. I bought the 7700x, RAM, and Mobo combo deal at Microcenter since that seemed like the most effective way to upgrade from my old 8600k platform. Saved a good 200 ish dollars there. As for my GPU, it is an insane improvement over my previous GTX 1070. Overall I'm happy with how this build as turned out!$1,470.90 -
