My dad and I built the room together and worked on everything together. We hangout here, watch movies, to shows, to gaming. It has been a long journey that took a lot of time but it was a lot of fun and well worth it in the end. The only thing I would change regarding the pc is the motherboard and go with a z590 but this was a year ago when z590 did not exsist. Not a fan of current mobo looks but it does the job and then some overall. Really happy with everything

I wanted to go with a white theme so I could use the RGB to make any color theme I wanted. The upgrade was the same, just keep the majority of the system white in order to maintain the ability to make any color theme I want. It’s a gaming rig most importantly. I enjoy first person shooter games mostly. I’ve played almost the entire far cry series on it. I also enjoy games similar to GTA and Watchdogs as well. The only upgrade I desperately want for it is a GPU. It has a 2070 super currently which is very capable. I would like to put a white card in it of course and at the same time, a 30 series card would be wonderful.

I'm building this pc because I was going to buy a ps5 since my ps4 is outdated but since I couldn't get a ps5 I decided to go for a pc since It will have more then 1 use other than gaming but now I can't get a gpu so I'm just stuck turning it on every day just to admire the rgb and turning it right back off. I probably should've bought the gpu first since I've been contemplating this build since like January. Other than that I love it. It has so much more use than a ps5 and I'll probably have it for longer due to the upgradability of all the components. (Images posted are screen shots from a video I took of the build)

It's been over 20 years since I've messed with computers, and i wanted to build a desktop PC. I recently decided to wade into video production, so i changed my build plan from general mid grade PC to future proof video editing PC. The most challenging part was finding a sufficient GPU for a decent price. Because of Covid lockdowns and Bitcoin mining, the GPU was the most difficult to obtain. I got screwed on Amazon once and again on Ebay. Definitely shop around and be wary of shady sellers. In fact, I'm still waiting for my GPU. It's supposed to be here tomorrow!

I had to grab and change up my budget build a little bit. All in all I was able to keep it all under $1000 (considering I already had a case and a Seagate 2TB 7200RPM HDD). The picture of the rig is just built and went through bios. Cable management was okay but I think i can pretty it up just a little bit but overall it works as intended.

Sooo the current market is rough right now so I bought everything and anything whether I needed it or not then returned what I don't use or need. However, it's been 10yrs since my last build Ryzen is all new to me and when I initially walked in to purchase parts I went in with a casual head of "ladadada building a new PC what to get what to get" not knowing it's the 5600x release and everyone is buying everything sooo I went into panic mode of "what do I get uhh excuse me sir. u got any recommendations on what to go for? Or Soo what u grabbing today? Or "wow man today is crazy what build u building?" Obviously to not sound like a noob and I kind of went off that. However, now that I've built, seen everything, and we'll informed here are the things I'd do differently. Ryzen 7 5800x EVGA 3080 360 cappelix 5000D Airflow or lian li lo xl QL FANS Corsair rgb ram Don't get me wrong I'm more than satisfied with my build 1000% speaking if I could go back in time then this is more the route I'd go.

So I been building & messing around with computers since high-school, overall been amazed by them & thought they're so cool. So over the years of having a home pre-built stock pc, I took it upon myself to start opening them and looking at the insides of what makes it. Then my freshmen year in hs I actually took 1 of them apart & customized the case by drawing cut shapes and having my father cut & paint it then I would install those tube neon lights inside the case & stuck a piece of arcylic behind the door so the cut out pieces weren't open. That's where it all began, after seeing that outcome of that I knew I loved it and always wanted to build my own 1 day. Unfortunately I don't have a photo of the pc because I didn't think to take a photo of it sadly but I remember it very clearly. It was a tall case with 3 cut triangles on 1 side with a fan in the middle of them. The paint was all dark blue with black speckles all over, it was my favorite case. Anyways when I was working I kinda got lost from computers and got into sneakers therefore I was spending pay checks on sneakers instead of pc parts. I would always play world of warcraft on the pc whenever it would run cause the pc wasn't top tier to spec it was still stock in the inside just fancy on the outside. After the fact I got out of pc & switched to sneakers I obviously stopped playing pc because I would work & school. After those 5 years at bestbuy my friend & brother asked if I wanted to play world of warcraft again & I said yeah sure. So I would play on this dell laptop my mom got me for school & to be honest it ran really well & to this day I still have that dell laptop & it still runs amazing. The laptop isn't that old prolly 3years or so. Then I was like I need to build a desktop, I always wanted the alienware area 51 alx desktop but couldn't afford 1 brand new so I recently purchase 1 on ebay for $200 used and with a bit of damage. I was always looking at alienware pics because I thought they were so cool but just over priced for me. So when it arrived in a large box that weighted like 90 pounds I was star strucked when I opened it. It was like a dream come true. Then over time I gamed on that then sold the internals of it and purchased everything else that makes a pc besides the case, brand new. After that happened I had a daughter then moved in with my girlfriend but couldn't bring the pc over because it was too huge so I was forced to leave it at my parents house. Eventually I was able to convince her to bring it over if I put it into a smaller case, so I put it in 1 of those open cases because just a stand that holds all the components together. Then time passes & I put it in a lian li o11 dynamic razer edition case but it has to sit on a chair so it not taking up space. I had to customize the doors for this case because I have a noctua cooler which is huge & the glass doors wouldn't clear them so I brought 2 sheets of black tinted arcylic & cut them to shape & took the bracket off the glass door & slap them on the arcylic doors with a hole cut where it wasn't clearing & now fits. So here's my pc that was a mission to complete but finally is done for now. For updates in the future, I am currently now looking for a new motherboard to update the msi board I have cause for me it makes the build look kinda cheap lol but it works great & the board has been good to me. But I do wanna upgrade that to a Asus rog maximus xi formula z390 board because I want the usb c front panel to work on the case & I want built in wifi instead of having that extra card for wifi.

I use this pc for my school work and gaming and talking to friends and all the hobbies I have. I multitask a lot, and the orientation of my double monitors really helps with that. I'm not a pro at anything to be honest. I stream just for the fun of it, and I game just to spend time with friends. My PC is capable of most things, and I have yet to come across something that puts any stress on my computer. I play games like Valorant and GTA every here and there. I also at night leave my pc on to mine crypto. It makes like 2$ only, but it adds up and is actually enough to cover the entire electricity bill of everything in my home :) I've always wanted to build my pc and have a nice setup, and while writing this, I'm just now noticing how far I really came. A few years ago, I wouldn't have even imagined my setup would look like this lol. But part by part, minor upgrades here and there really showed a big difference in the long run, which I'm grateful for. Also my We Bare Bear funkos are part of my setup, they mean a lot to me. The laptop I have on my right of my desk I don't use much since that was actually what I used to use before I had a decent PC. I also feel like there might be some controversy with the parts I have, either its cause of pricing or performance. But when I upgrade my PC I do consider having better performance but having it look good matters more to me since I'm not really doing anything that needs a lot of good specs.

This is my mess of a workbench and gaming area with sub-par storage techniques, I need more shelves and boxes. I play games, do research, and tinker with tech. The PC I'm currently using is a minor upgrade from a previous build which featured a 2nd gen I5 with essentially all the same other specs. I built it because I needed something with even a marginal amount of performance improvement. I call it a placeholder because I have stared a build around the Ryzen 5800x and an MSI Tomahawk X570 WIFI motherboard and I'm waiting on an RTX 3080 like soo many others. I intend to upgrade the ram to 16GB if the motherboard will accept a 4x4GB RAM configuration.

This led me to learn more about computer hardware so I spent two weeks reading articles, manuals, and watching youtube video's so that I could learn more about the different components that make up a computer. After indoctrinating myself, I set out to build my rig with the intent of creating something that would help me compile code, run virtual machines, and lightly play video games (when I'm not studying of course!!). Since I was only interested in light gaming I didn't mind having a lower end graphics card. Also, considering the shortage of GPU's I was wiling to settle for any GPU that would render things on my monitor. Once the chip shortage mellows out and GPU prices start to normalize I will consider buying a better graphics card so I can play some serious games breh!! Even though I don't have a high end graphics card I'm still very proud of my build because it has a very powerful 12 core AMD processor, 32 gb of ram, 1 TB SSD, and a 2TB HDD. My 12 core processor helps me compile my code at a fast rate and the 32gb of ram gives me the ability to run memory intensive virtual machines in tandem with my host operating system. One of my favorite features is my SSD + HDD combo. I'm planning on keeping my coding files on my SSD so that I can read and write to them at a faster rate and the HDD will be used to store larger files like photo's, movies, and games. Even though HDD's are pegged as slower media, I've found that they can recall files faster when it's not used to hold my primary OS. This small technical loophole allows me to draw greater speed and performance from my HDD. Another great thing about this build is my Lancool II Mesh Tempered Glass eATX Full Tower Computer Case. Even though this case runs on the bigger side, it's size makes it very easy to install all of my components and makes it very easy to cable manage. Also, the two tempered glass side panels make it easy to reach in and make necessary adjustments. Other than it's size, this case has two amazing frontal stock fans that provide outstanding frontal airflow. Even though this case has amazing airflow, I may consider adding a radiator at the top of my case so that I can have air blowing down onto my horizontally placed graphics card. Building a computer during a global pandemic is a daunting task because their is a shortage of computer parts, however I don't regret this experience and I had fun along the way!!

This is my 3rd build since I started PC Gaming, I've built everyone! Shout-out to Microcenter for always having what I need! I play everything from CoD, to League of Legends, to Minecraft. this beautiful machine handles it all! I was hoping to upgrade my GPUs that I took from my last build, but things are a bit crazy in that regards right now! Though my current setup still gets the job done extremely nicely! So far I've overclocked the CPU to 5.0GHz, the highest I was able to get it was 5.4, but I feel safer at 5.0 with a lower voltage, for daily use. I love that my PC is able to handle anything I throw at it and the temperatures are beautiful too. CPU and GPUs are liquid cooled and it sure makes a difference! **For some reason whenever I upload a photo it keeps flipping them T_T

Five years ago I joined the world of building custom gaming PCs with my very first gaming desktop containing a Core i5-4690K and a GTX 960 2GB. Ironically enough this was also my very first time visiting my local Micro Center location about an hour drive away. I knew that this wouldn't be the final form of that system and have been upgrading on a roughly annual basis little by little; new CPU cooler here, new GPU there, real standard stuff. By the end of 2020 AMD and NVIDIA both dropped their massive architecture improvements; namely Zen 3 and Ampere. With my recent paychecks from my new part-time job saved up from Christmas break, I knew I wanted to go all out on upgrades and decided to restart from the ground up to build the ultimate system of my dreams. Behold Eclipse; my Ryzen 9 5900X and RTX 3090 FE gaming and editing PC. Yes I know the CPU and GPU are super hard to get ahold of, I feel you 100%. But let this just be a reminder to not give in to scalpers. The CPU was bought from Micro Center at MSRP and the GPU was bought from a guy looking to trade for an RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT. He dropped the price to $1600 when I offered to meet him halfway so even if I'd have bought this GPU myself, the total would've only been $11 cheaper after tax. Even if he wanted the $1589 the card costed after tax I probably would've brought him $11 worth of food for his troubles anyway haha. I really hope you all like this rig as it was my first build with this magnitude of hardware and I think it turned out fantastic. If you wanna see the build process, I highly recommend you check out the video I made on my YouTube channel which can be found here: https://youtu.be/RJSADalELNg I do a lot of fun PC builds and other PC-tech related stuff on my channel so I'd really appreciate if you took a look. I'd like to thank "Diego M" at the Denver Micro Center who helped me (by complete coincidence) during two different trips a couple of months apart while I was gathering parts for this system. I have named this build "Sign of the Times". When you see the picture and spot the sign, you will understand why! Currently I play a variety of strategy games, such as Endless Space 2, Civilization VI, Rome Total War 2. Also some older first person games such as Tomb Raider. I'd like to play newer first person games as well but that will need to wait (see the previously mentioned sign). Almost all the parts were bought at the Denver Micro Center except for items they simply don't carry.

Around 3 years ago, I started planning a build to replace my aging i5-3570K PC. I wanted something unique - something that couldn't be simply purchased off the shelf. RGB was just getting big, so I went against the RGB trend and started looking into other ways to make my build stand out. Eventually, I was led to research transparent LCD side panel mods. 2 years ago I put together the initial PC. I picked up a Ryzen 7 1700x for $150 as a placeholder for Ryzen 3000 for this build. That release came, and to my surprise AMD was still lagging behind Intel in gaming performance. But with Ryzen 5000, that's a different story! The Ryzen 5 5600X is a beast, with huge uplifts in single core performance compared to my old 1700X. Heck, it even beats it in multi core. You can find a full build log here, which includes more pictures and even videos of it in action: https://forum.level1techs.com/t/time-for-my-second-build-a-project-lcd-case-v2-v3/135450/

Custom water cooled build with a 5950x OC'd to 5.1ghz, EVGA FTW3 ultra 3090 and Corsair Vengeance RGB 32gb ram @4000mhz. Funny story about my CPU. Micro Center in Rockville Md. was showing one in stock. So I drove 2hrs and once I got there they told me it was a error on the website. I was so bummed out.. I started driving home and decided to check at another Micro Center in Parkville Md. I jokingly ask a sales person if they had a 5950's expecting him to say no. He then said that he think's they just received a handful just a few minutes ago. I almost fell over with excitement. OK, this is my second pc build and my first custom water pc. I built this rig for gaming mainly, But also have been flirting with xoc. Best port royal score is 14028. Wanna break that 15,000. Time Spy Extreme 10543. I consider my self a hard core gamer, have about 4000 hours in destiny. I play a lot of story driven games Witcher3, Cyberpunk, Ghost of Tsushima, Nier Automata and Half Life Alex. I built this PC just to be able to play Cyberpunk in 4k. Lol Kind of let down by the game. One thing I wish I would have done different was use all EK parts. Rads and CPU cooler. But I'm proud of the job I did on this pc. I had a lot of fun planning out the build and mapping out the piping. And I hope you enjoy the pictures. Cheers.

I just wanted a good rig to game on, process photos or video content and maybe even do some 3D design work for my long list of hobbies. My intent was to make it nice to look at and I've never done a custom build before. No matter what i did the 3090 seemed to be in the way of showing off the nice looking X570. So I decided to vertical mount the card and so began the challenge. What followed was a lot of planning, trips to the hardware store and locating a brake to bend sheet metal that thick. Build FAQ: Custom made the bracket by hand, I have a 40cm link up riser cable twisted meticulously to reduce visibility. Also used a display port 90 adapter and two extension cables to avoid having my hdmi and Display port cables from tv coming through the case. (No loss in frame rate) Temperatures on everything runs from 5-10c cooler including the 3090. Hot air exits out the rear side of case and the top instead of blowing directly on MB. Also as a result of the 3090 not being in the way of the fans the M.2's and Ballistic Max also run a tad cooler.

The best part about this build is not the build itself but the experience I had building it. I waited outside microcenter overnight for the 3080 launch and it was the most fun I had since the pandemic started. I am mostly a star citizen player and a run a large community called Borealis Industries. This PC has been an absolute beast for work and gaming. I would change the motherboard, cpu, and aio if i could go back though.

I have some cables showing but covered my mouse cable on the floor so i don't trip over it. i built bane back when the 6700k was new with a 1080. since than i added 64Gb of gskill ram. planning on upgrading when the 40 cards come out and cpu's are at 5Ghz. or might settle for a 5900x. i never really liked desk gaming. i went from a 1970 wing-back lay-z-boy to a raid-max gaming chair i love and added a back message. With this setup i have my mini fridge and coffee maker right here. i want to get a better 2nd monitor but that tv i had since college. i do a lot of gaming cod, puzzles, math, shooters, rts, and some mmorpg after i got banned from wow in classic. I built myself a 3d printer and have been filling the wall up with masks from some of my favorite games and movies. still have my 360 for guitar hero and modded a wii so i can always have some nintendo fun since they are not on pc or steam =..< been an active creater on thingiverse making auto badges and modding others makes to help people with smaller printers. i love my big screen, i never could find a monitor this big since i like to sit back and be comfy while gaming, cad-ing, watching movies and chillin in my discord.

Stealth is an all gaming and streaming PC. Packing lots of great parts like an NVIDIA 3080 And Ryzen 9 3900x. I play anything I desire on the PC from simple not high-demanding games like Minecraft all the way up to high-demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty Warzone, Forza, and even Assassins Creed. I'm planning to start streaming and become a YouTuber. It's always been my dream. My goal is to have 5k-10k Subscribers by the end of this year and build a great community and have a great fan base. I hope to make people happy even if it means it's a single person that smiles because I know that one smile could make that person's day and make them happy. Thanks to the help of my PC I hope to reach these dreams and make people happy and put out interesting and funny videos for people to watch. The reason I built this PC was that I needed an upgrade from my 2014 iMac that wasn't helping me get too far besides editing videos but the app would constantly crash which was very annoying. I also had a ps4 but I wanted to make the mouse and keyboard change and have better mechanics. The story behind this PC started last year when the pandemic hit. Most people were lazy and didn't think of ways they could change things but not me. I worked super hard during the summer to raise enough money to buy myself a gaming PC. I would wake up early in the mornings and go to garage sales. From there I would look for valuable items I could resell and make a profit from. After many months of hard work and dedication, I finally had all the money I needed to build my dream PC “Stealth”. This was also the first time I had ever built a PC but I did lots of research and watched many videos to know everything about PCs from simple things like what is and isn’t compatible to learning what everything does and everything that is unique about that part. For cable management, I think I did a great job for it being my first time there are barely any cables visible besides the 24 Pin and the ugly 12 to two 8 PCIe. But there was one problem when I decided to buy my parts I decided wait to get on of the new 3000 series cards that had been announced. I waited and when the day came they were released but were all sold out in seconds. This kept going on for months and months until 3 months later I was finally able to get a 3080 Founders Edition of BestBuy. The wait was long but 100% worth it. I hope with my hard work and dedication that I put into streaming and uploading videos I'm able to change lifes and help people be happy. That is the reason I build “Stealth” and is my one and only dream. Background Information: The reason I call my PC “Stealth” is because of the black, white, and grey colors that match the name “Stealth” and also because of how amazing the computer can run just like the plane named “Stealth”. The little lamborgini adventador was just for decoration I took it apart and spray painted it white and I also painted the interior seats white. It was a little touch to make things look a little nicer inside the PC and not be so plain for the inside. Upgrades: 16 More Gigabytes Of G.Skill Neo 3600MHz CL16 Ram 2TB Seagate Hard Drive 1TB M.2 NVMe Samsung 970 EVO

I built because my friends and family told me I couldn't they said it couldn't be done, O boy did I prove all of them wrong. Not too bad for a counsel player. So with this build I wanted to go above and beyond what my friends who are PC gamers had. So I opted for a 3090 and AMD 5900x along with 64GBs of Gskillz Trident Royal Z. It's safe to say I got the last laugh. With all these rare and hard to find pieces I can probably say that the hardest pieces were the Lian Li SL Unifans as I needed 10 total. I had to wait 3 months to assemble it plus I didnt want to pay scalper prices. The next step is to get matching monitors.
