I'm a 14 year old kid who likes tech and wanted something better than a crusty dell laptop that my dad's company tried to throw away 4 years ago. I play games like ironsight, polygon, asseto corsa, minecraft, and more. I also use this build to run a kind of recording studio in my closet. The whole build except for the GPU and motherboard is new and everything combined cost just under $450ish without tax (and without peripherals ofc).$423.99 -

I have been planning to do a pc build for many years, but never got around to it until now. I am upgrading from my Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (2020) gaming laptop to this amazing new PC! The pc has a NVidia RTX 4060 graphics card, with an Intel i7 13700K CPU. I put in 32GB of RAM as well as 1TB of SSD storage and another TB of HDD storage. The PC is water cooled with an AIO liquid cooler. All of this is inside of my mini-tower with a microATX motherboard. I use the PC mainly for gaming, and some editing for my YouTube channel as well! The games I play are mainly Minecraft, Destiny 2, Forza Horizon 5, and more. I indeed did build the entire computer on my own using a guide on YouTube, which I'm pretty proud of! Overall, I am 150% satisfied with my new computer, and I am hoping to keep it for a long time!$1,611.95 -

I built this rig to learn more about computers and to replace my laptop because it was really slow (turns out I accidentally disable onboard graphics). I primarily use it for gaming and schoolwork. I currently only play games like Fortnite and Roblox, but I'm planning to add more games in the future such as Apex, Warzone, Minecraft, etc. Also note that some of the pricing is inaccurate to what I paid as I purchased most parts on sale during Cyber Monday and Black Friday. I also understand budgeting wasn't great, but for a lot of items I just got the most expensive one on biggest sale lol.$1,132.98 -

I basically just wanted to take a crack and building another desktop and, during the process, by doing a few things I haven't done before. One of these new things was building on an AM5 socket. I mainly held off this long from trying AM5 due to initially high DDR5 prices, but those have thankfully already fallen a long way. Another thing I really wanted to try is the new North chassis by my favorite case manufacturer, Fractal Design. I'm pretty brand-loyal to Fractal ever since the Meshify came out several years ago. Anyway the North case does a really nice thing in two different ways. One, it matches the wooden furniture I have elsewhere in my living room. And two, the North case is ventilated is so many different ways, it really opens up near-limitless possibilities for fan customization and airflow optimization.$2,656.92 -

The Gigabyte Aorus Z790 Master X using Intel's 14700k CPU and Sapphire's 7900 xtx 24GB GPU has brought my gaming into the front lines of 2024. I currently play games like GTA V online, MWIII, Minecraft, and a little W.O.W. I haven't started streaming yet, but this was built with the best experience in mind. This machine should last me for the next 8+ years with enough capabilities to easily be relevant until the end. Without getting too deep into the metrics, I am able to run MWIII at maximum settings and still avg. ~230 FPS. I am only using dual 1080p monitors by the way, but that is going to be upgraded to 4k monitors to match the quality of my new build. On the side, I have an older model Yamaha receiver, HTR-6240, a 5.1 channel Surround sound experience like no other on a desktop PC.$2,837.86 -

I wanted to make the switch from console so I can play PC only games like Ready or NOT. Being a responsible adult, I had a $500 total budget and I bought the parts at the perfect time and walked out with $3 in my pocket. YUP including taxes I managed this build to be under $500. Gaming with the integrated graphics worked ok with COD: Warzone and Overwatch2 but pretty hard to play with others like Six Days in Fallujah since low settings made somethings hard to see. I managed and even started recording games for my Youtube channel. After a month and few weeks, a friend was selling his RTX 4060 so I picked it up at a steal. I picked up a ID Cooling Frostflow AIO same day . This build is perfect for beginners on $500 budget (not counting the GPU and AIO) Pics are without and with GPU and AIO installed$692.93 -

I was overdue for a graphics card upgrade (had previously been using an nvidia gtx 1060 6gb card). Actually, make that overdue for an everything upgrade. As a kid, I always wanted to have a gaming pc of my own, where I could crush any game I wanted and push the limits of performance. My build started in 2017, and I saved every penny I could find to afford it. It's carried me throughout the years to today, with some upgrades of course. Originally, the build consisted of an Intel Core i5-7600K, MSI Z270 Gaming M7, ASUS GTX 1070 STRIX OC, Samsung 850 PRO, and a Seagate Barracuda 2TB. I play indie games like Lethal Company and Undertale, and big games like Battlefield 2042, Mortal Kombat 1, Five Nights at Freddy's, and VRChat. Throughout the time I spent building my pc, I wish I had purchased the parts at once instead of incrementally buying a part when it was possible. I could've gotten newer hardware had I done the former. In the future, I definitely would like to get a 2TB NVME SSD to replace my Seagate hard drive, and upgrade to 32GB of DDR4 ram. I also foresee a switch to the AMD Ryzen 7000 processor line.$2,646.49 -

My first ever PC build, where I wanted to make absolutely no compromises on airflow, as I've had bad experiences in the past from premade systems. I was very pleased to find out I had no trouble getting the PC to work. The case was great to build in, and the video helped a ton in feeling secure as a newbie. I did have to replace the originally included side fans (non-RGB) out of necessity, because they made an uncomfortable humming sound, and also weren't PWM, which did not allow me the control that I wanted. Also, I didn't know originally, how much LEDs actually enhance the beauty of a build, if you don't use red, green or rainbow colors.$1,714.73 -

I've been gaming on a work PC for a while now, so I decided to treat myself after my first paycheck. I mostly play Apex and Valorant, but I got a RTX 3080 in case I want to play more GPU intensive games (Ready or Not, Cyberpunk 2077). I think the aesthetics of the case are pretty decent: hence the name form + function. I didn't go too crazy on RGB or aesthetics, but I think the case fans look pretty nice and minimalist. It might look a bit basic, but I think it has a certain charm. When my wallet recovers, I might get some Noctua fans since it's kind of loud right now. It's a pretty high end build, so I don't see myself making too many upgrades in the near future.$1,516.94 -

I am playing Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and Avatar now. Probably more later. I really am glad to have gone all AMD with it. the processor and graphics cards are basically sleeping even while playing on high graphics mode. I sometimes have the performance view of task manager up and I've yet to crack 50% usage. Only thing I may have done differently is a different motherboard. My youngest has always been asking for a PC since his sisters has one, so I've been searching the cyber web for various parts to build him a budget PC. Lots of the parts are used, but I purchased the 5800x3d from Microcenter. The best deal I got was for the Louqe Raw S1 case. The original owner had a custom paint job on it and had a hard time selling it, so I was able to scoop it up for $30. All we did was use paint remove and sanded all the paint off. We liked the bare metal so we left it at that. The only problem with this case is you're limited on the CPU cooler. The best you can fit is the Noctua NH-L12S, but I have future plans to cut down the case to allow a AIO radiator to mount in the back. He is still young so he's been mainly using the PC for learning apps. He's happy with his PC, but now asking about a custom keyboard like his sisters T_T.$1,119.97 -

If i remember this right, it's been over 13 years since I've built my first (and only) desktop PC, so I came into this one a little bit rusty and barely any experience. But then everything else started coming into play since the case/mobo just wasn't enough. Foolishly I asked the BYOP team if they had any 4090s in stock and they did. Mainly plays in competitive games, like Fortnite and CS GO2, plus doing home production. Mainly in software engineering. Thanks to Micro Center, I can build it with affordable parts. I was able to scrape this thing together by finding the absolute cheapest pieces of new technology that I possibly could, and it runs amazing! Faster than Sonic X!! Some of the parts aren't the best I would say. For example the case is huge but on the bright side this means upgrade-ability.$1,805.92 -

I was always interested in gaming and had a knack for tech, but was stuck with a crusty acer laptop and therefore could not do much. Finally, for my birthday I had the chance to build myself my own rig! Now I play all the games I want at a super smooth performance and could not be happier! I play THE FINALS, Minecraft, CS2, and many other games. In the future, I want to upgrade even further and add even more RGB to my setup, as everyone knows that’s what determines your computers true speed.$866.93 -

Its a complete mishmash of parts but I tried to keep it somewhat coherent. I pay on 1440p ulatrawide, and this pc is plenty for that. I play Desinty 2, BeamNG, and Rdr2 mostly, with some indie games as well. Ive had quite a bit of fun overclocking the 12900k, that chip is amazing.$1,614.90 -

I'm calling this a postapocalyptic build simply because it is a desktop that survived the catastrophic failure of a power supply. Initially this build was done using a few older components along with inexpensive modern parts sourced from my local microcenter. Specifically, this was built with an aging power supply and graphics card. After some testing, I realized the the system had a catastrophic partially because it was being left on carpet. The inside of the chassis looked like the aftermath of a dust explosion. Ultimately I had to clean, rebuild, and replace the power supply and motherboard with brand new units. Thankfully the cpu and graphics card weren't damaged during the apocalypse.$339.94 -

My wife bought me gift cards and a date day in Socal to visit Microcenter, and I was able to source 90% of the parts in store. This was a better experience even than I dreamed lol, I'm glad it isn't close to my house or I'd be broke! We have 2 PC's on wall on separate desks. To make it symmetrical I decided to do a reverse build, so the 0-11 XL EVO was it. I worked with a super knowledgeable guy in store who told me he was planning to do something similar, Jeremy I think? SUUPPPERR helpful and helped me pivot away from some bad ideas. Build was easier than I thought, I bought extra Corsair Hydro X PMMA so I could screw up some bends and be ok. I think I only wasted maybe a single 1-meter tube, this stuff once I got the hang of it was super easy. As you can see from the pictures, because this was my first custom loop, I wanted to limit myself to one bend per tube, and use fittings where necessary. Absolutely loved the experience, and the gaming is amazing. 10/10 Microcenter experience!$2,569.93 -
