This system was designed as a high-performance gaming rig that also functions as a dedicated streaming and music production... This system was designed as a high-performance gaming rig that also functions as a dedicated streaming and music production studio for my daughter. The foundation of the build began with a Micro Center bundle featuring the ASUS ROG Strix X870E motherboard paired with the AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D processor. I also acquired a Lian Li DK-07 Desk PC chassis from the same source to serve as the centerpiece for the setup. For the GPU, I selected the ASUS TUF RTX 5090, currently utilizing an Alphacool water block while we await the official TUF-specific release from Watercool. The memory consists of a 128GB dual-slot kit, cooled with a Barrow block. The CPU is equipped with a Bykski (Granzon GAIS) block, ensuring optimal thermal performance. This build showcases a variety of components from several leading water cooling manufacturers. My goal was to create a truly customized, high-end system without being restricted to a single brand—while, of course, adhering to best practices such as metal compatibility. This is very much a dream build for me. I initially experimented with other water cooling components but found the result unsatisfactory. After a complete overhaul, I arrived at this final configuration, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.$5,574.92 -

This build was a replacement for my last build done approximately 4 years ago. I have always run with entry or low to mid... This build was a replacement for my last build done approximately 4 years ago. I have always run with entry or low to mid graphics card and sort of went budget not spending money that did not really give me a good bang for the buck. I decided I was going to get a 5090 and do a nice build, a dream build almost if you will. I spent the money and more importantly I put the work in to make sure I got a 5090. The build was all but done 2 weeks ago but was missing the 5090. Well, 24 hours outside of Microcenter, and I can happily say I was one of the few who didn't get in my car or leave in the 20-degree weather. I was lucky enough to be #4 and got myself an Aorus 5090. It was a crazy experience, made some new friends and had a great time despite having to put the work in. Overall, building this computer feels like it was so much more than just a computer build. It set the bar high for the next time I plan to do another build.$6,940.91 -

My initial motivation for building this PC two years ago was the anticipated release of Microsoft Flight Simulator. I had been playing other simulators for many years before then and wanted an upgrade for the new intense game. I've been wanting an upgrade from my Dell Optiplex retrofitted with a GTX 1050 Ti for a while, but this pushed me to actually go ahead and do it. I still play Microsoft Flight Simulator to this day, but most of my time on this machine has shifted to software engineering and, incidentally, developing addons for the simulator. I am a computer science student and use this computer to compile Rust libraries, run simulations in Python, and develop websites. A year after getting this computer, I replaced the stock heat sink on my RTX 2080 Super with an NZXT Kraken, and it was totally worth it as I haven't had any problems with thermals since then and the computer is pretty darn quiet. The only upgrade that I see myself making in the foreseeable future is a kit of custom white cables along with a modular PSU to replace the horrendous ketchup and mustard powering the rig.$1,732.91 -

The main reason for my build was to upgrade from my prebuild Ailenware that's been doing right by me for so many years. The second reason, after watching so many Youtube videos with hard tube water cooled builds, the urge to give it a shot myself grew into what you see today. This was my first ever attempt at a water cooled, hard tubed build, and it was challenging and frustrating sometimes. Oh it was so satisfying seeing the leak test pass, and filling the loop. I mainly game on my PC, while also using it to complete school work and other tech labs to improve skills. My main games right now are League of Legends, Fortnite, Warzone, Spellbreak, and Overwatch. I also stream on twitch from time to time, twitch.com/handsomemumbler, if anyone ever wanted to check out some ok gameplay and chat. In hindsight, and anyone else thinking of giving water cooling a shot use my mistake for your gain, I would of only leak tested with air and not coolant or water. I was not aware of an air leak tester at first and trust me when I say my heart was in my stomach during my first leak test. Use an air tester!$2,169.91 -
