It was under $2000 without tax, but came up to around $2500 with tax and the great Micro Center warranty to cover all the parts. This was a huge learning experience. It was my first AIO and vertical GPU mount. It was fun to build with new components. Was someone limited by what was in stock, but was able to get all parts in one day with the guidance of the Micro Center Westmont staff. Combo deals were great.$2,049.92 -

Booted it up the first time no problem. I have been replaying death stranding 1 on this to prepare for death stranding 2 release in June. Overall, I’m very happy. The goal of this build is to be able to handle modern games running with high graphics settings like Monster Hunter: Wilds and Atelier Yumia without tanking performance and to be ready for GTA 6 next year. As expected for this price point: I'm facing no issues with it whatsoever and am very happy with how it looks and how its performance blows whatever I could previously do before totally out of the water.$1,957.92 -

Most of the savings came from having a microcenter near me. I will be using it for mainly gaming with the occasional web browsing and YouTube. Runs pretty quiet I would say. Super easy to build in, especially with help from YouTube videos. I did run out of 3-pin rgb headers, so the cpu cooler fan's rgb aren't on, but I'll be getting an extension at some point. It's just not that important to me right now. Overall just an amazing PC.$1,494.93 -

With all the recent consoles and console games price hikes, it's no longer cheaper to game on consoles. So I thought might as well build a gaming pc to enjoy all the Steam discount games and superior graphics. With the help of my friend, I got all the parts and built it together. I am very happy with how it turned out. PC looks dreamy with all the LEDs on the fans. The performance is pretty good too. I don't have a big Steam library to test it all out yet, but I am getting smooth FPS with Red Dead Redemption. Now time to build up my Steam library.$1,884.92 -

My first PC build I built myself to replace my old gaming laptop with an RTX 2060. Got a pretty good deal from Microcenter bundle and picked up 9070 xt GPU from them as well. The build went smoothly overall, but the only odd moment was during the first boot. The USB port in the front didn't work for loading up the Windows installation drive. I had to use the USB port in the back to boot it up. After tuning the settings and benchmarking, it scored 19685 on Cinebench R23.$1,754.93 -

I've never built a gaming PC before, always played on my laptop that could barely run CSGO and valorant. I spent around 6 months preping for this, learning from youtube videos and reddit posts and gathering parts. Everything works good, hopefully for a long time. For a long time I had been using my laptop on RTX 2050, which was not enough for me, till I decided to build this PC. Initially I wanted to buy RTX 5070 TI but its disappointing availability and price just changed my mind so that I switched back to AMD and bought one of the most beautiful RX 9070 XT from XFX Mercury. It is already my 4th AMD graphic card and I have not regretted buying any of them. Even though I actually think that XFX Mercury is overpriced a little in terms of cooling/noise, lack of new 1 x 16-pin (if compare with Nitro+) and OC versions of this cards just don't make sense. Better just reduce power limit for 10% and enjoy if you have OC sample. The other parts as you can see I bought white as well. Even PSU is white. And someone could ask me why I am using air cooler with such powerful CPU as Ryzen 7 7800x3d. Come on people that is 95w processor, it is OK with air. Yes it is noisy a bit but not annoying. Btw I tried putting AIO (Artic liquid freezer 3 pro) in that case and It just hasn't fitted because of thick radiator I guess.$1,962.92 -

In the bustling town where I grew up, there weren't many options for computer enthusiasts like me. Sure, there were a handful of small computer shops scattered around, each offering a mishmash of components, but none could compare to the tech haven that is Microcenter. My journey into the world of building PCs began amidst these humble surroundings. Armed with determination and a modest budget, I scoured the shelves of these local stores, piecing together my first rig. It wasn't perfect, but it was mine—a testament to my budding passion for all things tech. As I tinkered with my creation, learning the ins and outs of hardware assembly, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more out there, something beyond the limitations of my small town's offerings. That something turned out to be Microcenter. The first time I set foot in that gleaming megastore, I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Row upon row of pristine components stretched out before me, gleaming under the fluorescent lights. It was a paradise for any PC enthusiast, with shelves stocked high with the latest processors, graphics cards, and peripherals. But it wasn't just the sheer variety of products that captivated me—it was the expertise of the staff. Unlike the often clueless employees at the local shops, the Microcenter team were true professionals, eager to share their knowledge and offer advice on even the most obscure tech questions. Armed with the resources of Microcenter and the guidance of its knowledgeable staff, I embarked on my next build with newfound confidence. Gone were the days of settling for "okay" parts; now, I had access to the best of the best. With their help, I carefully selected each component, ensuring that my new rig would be a masterpiece of performance and reliability. As I sat back and admired my completed build, I couldn't help but marvel at how far I'd come. From humble beginnings in those small-town computer shops to the pinnacle of PC building excellence at Microcenter, my journey had been nothing short of extraordinary. And as I powered up my new rig for the first time, I knew that the best was yet to come. At its core lay the beating heart of my creation, the Intel i7 8700k, a processor as reliable as it was powerful. With its six cores and twelve threads, it was the engine that drove my digital adventures, powering through the most demanding of tasks with ease. Surrounding it, like loyal soldiers standing guard, were 32GB of RAM, a veritable army of memory, ready to tackle any challenge I threw their way. And nestled snugly within the belly of the beast was a lightning-fast 1TB SSD, its silent whispers promising swift load times and snappy system responsiveness. But it was the crown jewel of my rig—the RTX 2070 SUPER GPU—that truly set it apart. With its ray-tracing prowess and blistering rendering speeds, it transformed every pixel into a masterpiece, bringing my virtual worlds to life with unparalleled beauty and realism. Together, we embarked on a journey unlike any other, a journey into the heart of gaming and streaming glory. From the darkest dungeons to the farthest reaches of outer space, we traversed virtual landscapes with skill and determination, our every triumph and defeat broadcast to an eager audience of fellow adventurers. But it wasn't just about the games—it was about the connection. With my powerful rig, I streamed in crystal-clear HD, my every word and gesture captured with stunning clarity. And as I interacted with my viewers, sharing stories and swapping strategies, I felt a sense of camaraderie unlike anything I'd ever known.$886.96 -

I built this PC when I graduated university and I wanted to treat myself for being the first in the family to finish school. All 4 years of school I used a laptop to do my work and play games so once I graduated I knew getting a PC is something affordable and would bring me many years of joy! I currently use this desktop to draw CAD models, watch videos, and play games such as Valorant, League of Legends, and Halo Infinite. I love my build mainly because I customized it myself. I envied the all white minimalist desktop look and I'm glad I was able to achieve that. Something I wish I fixed is my cable management.
